Unmatched hospitality and customer service. We rented from another rental company in Manistique and had two breakdowns and other issues all weekend. The folks at Renze gave us a better price for more rental time, gave us food and water to help console our awful experience with their competitor, and offered to come in on a closed day (memorial day sunday) to rent to us. They actually cared. The machine it's self was amazing. Brand new 2024 RZR 1000. They were reachable via text after hours and on when the store was closed. The store it's self was huge, clean and packed to the roof with anything you could need. Their rental process was more involved and informed than their competitor and included a card for a good tow company, directions on where NOT to go and gave us a full rundown of all the features our toy (atv). I felt better about leaving from this place than I did the place before. My wife and I drove home at the end of the weekend in agreement that whenever we purchase our own machine, we will be driving 8 hours north to the UP to give them our business. read more

Brought in a skidoo snomobile that we just purchased privately for $2000, it was stalling. Renze's charged us $1900 and said it was fixed and nothing had changed. I reached out twice and didn't get any response from management. Very disappointed, go elsewhere for service. read more

I bought my Polaris Ranger at Renze Power Sorts Munising in 2022. I have used them to do all scheduled maintenance until present (8/27/2025). I have been trying to get 2 new tires installed on the vehicle since June 2025. It has been more than an ordeal with the parts department. After camping out at the parts desk a week ago, we found available tires and bushings. They require pre payment before ordering. I paid their invoice by credit card. ($804.74) and requested the invoice be sent to me by US mail as their staff was busy that day. When I got the invoice there was an additional $58.41 which included a miscellaneous shop supplies fee. I disputed it and was told they would have to get back to me. Eventually they told me it was for paper towels, hand soap, and latex gloves, etc. Beware! Up charging seems to be their standard practice. Look at all bills closely. Don't be surprised if a paid bill is followed by an addendum to the price. I advise: Stay clear!!! read more

Beware! Polaris DOES NOT assure your security when transferring YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION to foreign countries per their consent waivers. In addition, the cost for the ORV rentals PLUS the helmets PLUS the goggles PLUS the online fees at Renze Powersports in Newberry is ridiculous. Never again. read more

An oasis of assistance in the Great White North. Fixed my snowmobile in 24 hours during peak season. My sled was down on power and JC, an actual wizard with a wrench discovered a mouse condominium that had been erected in my airbox. Came back and picked it up the next day. I was going to pass on writing a review but I owe this to prospective customers. One thing they did well was to get us a short notice rental for a Saturday from 10am until 4pm. And we showed appreciation for it. After having made our arrangements, Jill, the rental person, called me requesting that we come in a day early to complete paperwork and take the ATV's that evening. I explained that we were from out of town, did not have a place to keep these units and it was an hour each way from our hotel. I said I would see what we could do but I wasn't too sure how we could work it out. She seemed a little irritated but maybe that was just my perception. We get there Saturday morning and she tells me the reason she asked me to make an extra trip to her place on Friday was because she had a wedding and didn't want to open the store Saturday. So we're clear, she wanted me to drive from Munising a day early to do her paperwork and drive 2 ATV's back from Newberry so she didn't have to come to work on Saturday. For about 45 minutes. If she didn't want to come to work, she had the option to decline our rental request. So now I'm starting to regret having connected with Jill but we're committed so whatever, we will just hope things go well. Jill explains they're having credit card issues so I may not any see charges until Monday. She gets us keys for the machines in a hot hurry and drives off with her daughter. We are now sorting things out in the parking lot and the facility is closed. Not much more to say here other than one of the machines throws a check engine light and runs in limp mode off and on throughout the day which sucks. Drop the machines off by 4pm and take a bunch of pictures since there is nobody there to check the units back in. Can't have someone trash them over the weekend and get blamed for it. The above story is what I considered keeping to myself but here again, there's Jill. You've met a Jill at some point in your life I'm guessing. I call Jill late the next week to tell her I have been charged twice for one of the machines we rented. She says, "I told you we were having credit car issues". I said, "I'm just calling to make sure you know I was charged twice". She carries on acting like she's under attack and defending herself telling me I knew this might happen. After she babbled on for a while, I finally just said "I don't need the play-by-play, fix the ******* problem" and hung up. Here we are, 2 weeks and 2 days after the day we rented from Renze, and Jill has failed to return the money she overcharged me. I now will spend MY time working through my credit card company to clean up her mess, which is probably what she wants to happen. The summary is this - 1) Minimal customer service 2) Poor machine condition / performance 3) Pricing not much lower than other outfits who provide top notch service and superior machines with longer rental hours such as the Razor rental place in St.Helen. 4) Jill needs a therapist. read more

It's all Fraud Carol the owner will make promises to refund you for months until the point you have to file a claim for nearly $800 dollars. Please do not waste your time with Renze find a good reputable dealer and stay away from this one. I have all the emails from them with the promises. read more

Fantastic experience. A couple in our group of 6 had experience on snowmobiles but most of us did not. They explained everything from how to operate the machine to how to cool it down if it overheated. They were flexible with return times and efficient when we returned the machines, allowing us to get back to our car quickly to start a long drive back to Chicago. They were very helpful explaining the paperwork, the machines ran well, and the staff was very friendly. read more
