We graduated from RFC! Had a very tearful day
    Famela P.

IVF is a very difficult journey but with the right team you will feel supported throughout the process. That's how I felt with RFC clinic; everyone was caring and ensured I had a positive experience. The clinic is very clean; as soon as you walk in, it feels like a spa. Very subtle colors and calming music. They offered free water and coffee while you are there. This facility is on the 9th floor inside of hoag hospital. Very easy to park and easy to navigate to the clinic. I worked with Dr. Lin and Paula Hagen and they were a very strong team. I would recommend this clinic to everyone. Just be patient and make sure you understand your commitment. I am blessed to have a successful story.

Hubby, myself & Dr. Lin on graduation day!
    Carissa L.

Dr Lin and his team have been the best thing that has happened for me and my husband. We have struggled with fertility issues for years now (on my end). After about 2 years of not having a menstrual cycle and trying (as much as we could), I was fed up with bouncing around to different OBs, specialists, endocrinologists, etc. and finally called Dr. Lin! We had a call in November 2020 where he so understandingly, told me I just don't seem to ovulate and had what is called "unexplained infertility", then he proceeded to tell me "whenever you are ready to get pregnant, We will get your pregnant". January 2021 we started our fertility journey. After 2 failed attempts at timed intercourse, with trial and errors of meds, Dr. Lin was very confident in telling me IVF was our best option, which I was so nervous about. May 2021 we started our IVF cycle. After 1 cancelled cycle, and 1 transfer that didn't take, we were finally able to say those magical words, "We are PREGNANT!" Dr. Lin and his staff were over the moon excited for us, and Paula (my nurse) called me so excited to tell me the news and proceeded to tell me how happy the whole office was! I truly feel like RFC Irvine is a family that welcomed us right in! They were so flexible with getting me in for ultrasounds & making sure baby was developing and growing like baby should and always with open arms & smiles on their faces! We are officially graduated from RFC now and it was very bitter sweet to leave! If I could I would have continued my pregnancy appointments all the way to birth with them. :) Thank you so much to Dr. Lin, Paula, Rachel, Tara, Peyton, Merebel (acupuncturist), Iris (acupuncturist) and the rest of the family for all your hard work and all your love & support through this journey! If we need to go this journey for baby #2 in the future, we will 100% be back here with our team again!

    Renee R.

I remember reading Yelp reviews about RFC when we first were scheduling our initial appointment with Dr. Lin back in March of 2021. I was so nervous and unsure of what to do and what our next step should be for our pregnancy journey. We had already been TTC for well over a year and we're beyond frustrated and discouraged. I read reassuring things about successes at RFC and it built up our confidence that we were making the right decision. From the first time we met with Dr. Lin everyone on the staff in the Irvine office including him were kind and encouraging. We started with an IUI. We got pregnant on our first one but the level was very low so it didn't last. We started doing more tests to see what direction to go in. We did procedures and tried different things to see what worked and what didn't. We did two more IUIs, both were unsuccessful. Because of timing with my insurance we decided to do one more IUI before doing IVF. That one was successful but didn't sustain again. So frustrating, discouraging and heartbreaking!! Dr Lin and the staff continued to be hopeful for us though and kind, moving to the next thing to try. In January 2022. We did our egg retrieval. That was successful and we were encouraged moving along with the IVF process. We did our first transfer in March 2022 and it was unsuccessful. Ugh disappointed and beaten down again :( Paula was beyond caring though and listened to me cry and voice concerns, fears and worries. She advised trying acupuncture through their office since we hadn't done that yet. I had done acupuncture in the past but not through their office. In the book "it starts with an egg" (which I recommend reading for advice and guidance during your fertility journey) they say acupuncture is really only successful if you do it at the same location as your fertility procedures. So decided to try that. Meredith is the sweetest. I felt like she become such a stable and positive coach for me during the IVF process. Seeing her weekly for months and months, I was continually encouraged and looked forward to the appointments. We scheduled to do another transfer in September. I followed the guidance from Paula and Meredith's recommendations on what to eat and do and on the day of my transfer had acupuncture before and after (with both Iris and Meredith because of scheduling). I really think that made all the difference in the transfer being successful. There were different things I did to prep my body leading up to it and finally after many different treatments and so much time, we were finally pregnant!! The joy that Paula, Meredith and everyone else in the office radiated for my husband and I was incredible. We felt so supported and cared for. I continued to go to acupuncture for the majority of my pregnancy and looked forward to the appointments and stopping in to see everyone. Our baby girl was born in May 2023 and we could not be happier to have this beautiful baby and gift that RFC helped us achieve. Would absolutely recommend Dr Lin, RFC and doing acupuncture there. Good luck on your journey, rooting for you from afar!!!

Our amazing team!! Thank you! This is our graduation day!

Most of my ultrasounds were with Dr. Lin and he always takes the time to address concerns and explain next steps. On occasion I've also seen Dr. Kaing and the ultrasound tech AJ for my scans and they were both very kind as well. Tracy at the front desk took the time to sit down with me and explain my insurance coverage and any out of pocket costs to expect, which I really appreciated. Insurance companies can be unpleasant at times and things can get messy but I do believe that the team at FCOC are doing their best with the billing. At each of my visits and procedures the nursing staff was always very helpful, while I can't remember everyone's name I really appreciated Anni and Lilly's care. Dr. Schneider the anesthesiologist was also very pleasant and comforting. Going to sleep for a procedure can be scary but I felt like I was in good hands. Over the course of the last 9 months whether it's delivering good or bad news Dr. Lin is realistic yet always optimistic; he offers options and respects our decisions, never pushing us to go a certain way. For some, IVF can become a longer than expected journey, I don't wish this upon anyone but should this be the case Dr. Lin will meet you with open arms. After 4 cycles of IVF I can say with certainty that Dr. Lin will do everything to help you grow your family - he will take care of you.

Dr. Lin has exceptional bedside manner and a real gift for explaining each step of the process thoroughly but in a way that is absorbable to anybody. He personally saw us at every single visit. We never had a long wait time and the office tried to accommodate our early appointment preference so I could make it to work almost each time. With every bump in the road, Dr. Lin provided alternative options and routes and never pressured us into any situation. With his help, we now have our rainbow baby in our arms. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Lin who sees you as a person and not just another number.

I called the clinic to follow up on my $350 reimbursement. The staff member who answered initially told me the insurance claim was still pending, which conflicted with the information from my insurance. After I explained what I saw on my account, she said she would check with the billing department and call me back the next day--but I did not feel confident in the communication or transparency of the process. While the facility itself looks clean and professional, my first impression was not positive. I came in simply hoping to learn more about IUI/IVF options before moving forward, but the experience left me feeling uncomfortable during the consultation because it seemed like the doctor was more focused on promoting IVF rather than fully discussing my situation and options. Additionally, I did not receive any results from the blood tests or ultrasound performed during my visit. Overall, not the level of service or clarity I was expecting for such an important and sensitive journey.

The office and staff were clearly overwhelmed by the number of patients they were seeing, which significantly impacted the quality of individual care. At one point, I waited over two hours. Before retrieval, I was told I had 17-20 follicles and that I had a great cycle. However, only two eggs were retrieved, and only one developed to the blastocyst stage. After the procedure, Dr. Hatch suggested that I likely have PCOS and said they needed to figure out what was wrong with my body and proceed with another cycle. I later consulted with two other fertility doctors, both of whom said I likely would have had a better outcome if the retrieval had been done on day 12 rather than day 15, as my follicles appeared to have atrophied. This process was a significant financial investment for us, and we paid entirely out of pocket without insurance. I was upset for months because I felt blamed for what was the practitioner's negligence, without any clear explanation from her of actually went wrong. I am now very conflicted about doing another cycle, as the entire experience was deeply traumatizing.

Dr. Elizabeth Dilday is wonderful, and if I were rating her alone, it would be 5 stars without a…read moresecond thought. But this review is about my entire experience with egg freezing here -- and the frustrations have buried the highlights. I genuinely wanted to love this place. I just can't. Start with billing, which has been a nightmare. I need my invoices for medical reimbursement -- that's money I'm owed back -- and despite staff promising to "expedite things," it took 2.5 to 3 months to get them, lack of email responses, calls with no number to call back, extensions that only goes to empty voicemails, after they'd sat marked "pending" for nearly two months. And when I finally reviewed the charges, the refund amounts had been added up wrong. So now I'm double-checking their math too. To fix it, I had to chase a separate department on East Coast time, which became an endless game of phone tag. Their billing is somehow both impossible to reach and disorganized once you do. I came on a referral specifically for Dr. Dilday, and everything was fine -- until the morning of my procedure, when I was casually told she wouldn't be performing it. Instead it'd be whoever was on rotation. How is the day-of an acceptable time to learn that the entire reason I chose this clinic isn't the person operating on me? A heads-up days in advance is not a big ask. Dr. Dilday did visit me, which was genuinely sweet -- but one kind gesture can't paper over how poorly this was communicated. Then the anesthesia, which still upsets me. I told the anesthesia team and every doctor that I come out of anesthesia rough -- clearly and repeatedly. Nobody believed me. The anesthesiologist brushed me off, saying that in all his years he'd never had a problem, and any issues before were because I hadn't had him. Well -- I had an adverse reaction. I woke up in traumatic, screaming pain, a 20 out of 10, exactly what I'd warned about. I wish he'd taken me seriously as he weaned me off the medication after the OR. My recovery was far worse than the two similar procedures I've had before -- genuinely concerning -- and I'm left wondering if it was the technique, the anesthesia, or both. When a patient tells you exactly what will happen to their body and you ignore them, this is what you get. Now the pharmacy. CCRM uses an outside pharmacy, and that was its own disaster. The driver "missed the delivery window," and then management couldn't even locate their own driver for hours. When they finally found him, he had to meet me at a dinner venue -- where I walked out in front of all my friends to grab a giant cooling box for medication I did not want to explain to anyone. I was over an hour and a half late to my event, then had to inconvenience someone to store the meds in their fridge, which meant sharing a deeply personal situation I'd have preferred to keep private. I basically lost a whole day on the phone juggling team members over a pickup that should have been a simple delivery. And all that chaos traced back to one decision: the clinic sent only a single day's loaned dose. So of course I then had to call the on-call doctor after hours to report I didn't have what I needed for day two. I still don't understand why they couldn't just loan two days' worth so nobody has to scramble. It got worse. Right before my trigger injection -- the most time-sensitive, do-not-mess-this-up part of the whole process -- the on-call doctor clearly hadn't read the notes from the physician before him. He instructed me to start a medication I was never given and that was never ordered. I was at work, and he sent me into a full panic attack, because I couldn't drop everything to figure out what I supposedly had, literally the second-to-last day before my trigger. The lack of professionalism, the broken handoffs, the total breakdown in communication between departments, physicians, and billing -- it has genuinely let me down. And it's worse because this could be such a great place. The talent is here, the reputation is real, and I drove two hours each way because of it. I could have stayed local, but I took the referral and did my research -- only to find out how much exhausting, unnecessary work this would be. Roughly four months later, I'm still chasing invoices that don't add up or aren't complete enough to even submit. Fertility patients are already carrying enough emotionally, physically, and financially. It should not be this exhausting. The anxiety, the frustration, the helplessness, and the feeling of not being heard at times really don't make this experience with CCRM. I wish it wasn't so, and I am so sorry for leaving this review, but i really don't wish this upon anyone who is coming hoping for a good result.

This review is long overdue! Let me start by saying Dr. Rosencrantz is one of the best doctors (in…read moreany specialty!) I've ever had! Period. He is kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He goes above and beyond to listen to patient questions and concerns. I've seen three fertility doctors and he's the only one who I could message directly on the portal. The fertility journey is extremely stressful as anyone who's been through it can tell you, but Dr. Rosencrantz's office made the process so much easier. I never had to wait more than 15 minutes from my appointment time to see him, I got a response to all of my questions within 24-36 hours, and the financial process was easy and straightforward. This was due in large part to his AMAZING team of nurses and staff. Cindy, Anne, and Lorena were always encouraging, warm, and comforting. Everyone knew where I was on my fertility journey, which made the office feel like family. I was able to get pregnant after my first embryo transfer, but unfortunately there were unforeseen abnormalities and we had to terminate at 20 weeks. During this difficult time, even though I was beyond his care (after 8 weeks), Dr. Rosencrantz personally checked on me to make sure I was doing ok. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Rosencrantz for giving me the gift of being able to carry a child even though we were not able to bring our baby home in the end. Wherever you are on your fertility journey, you will be in good hands with the team at RMA/RHWC. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Dr. Rosencrantz and his exceptional staff are nothing short of a dream team. We initially started with two IUI cycles. Dr. Rosencrantz wisely advised that if we wanted a chance at two children, transitioning to IVF was our best path forward. Throughout the whole journey, we felt completely supported and never once pressured. When our first transfer resulted in a chemical pregnancy, Dr. Rosencrantz immediately pivoted--adjusting my protocol and running extra tests. He is truly dedicated to finding answers and solving problems, which sets this practice apart from so many others. RHWC offers a warm, boutique-style experience. As happy as I was to graduate, I was almost sad to be discharged! We will definitely be back when we're ready for baby #2. Extra special thanks to Cindy, Lorena, and Anne for taking such wonderful care of us during every visit, and to Carolina at the front desk for always being so sweet!

Before finding her, I had tried chiropractors, massage therapy, and even saw a neurologist. While those treatments provided some temporary relief, nothing compared to the results I've experienced with Dr. Zhao. One of my biggest concerns was that I had developed a noticeable hump at the base of my neck from years of poor posture and constantly leaning my head forward. Thanks to Dr. Zhao's acupuncture treatments, cupping therapy, and the home exercises she recommended, the hump has noticeably reduced, and my pain and mobility have improved significantly. I also really appreciate that she accepts insurance, which makes it much easier to continue treatment. Dr. Zhao genuinely cares about her patients and takes the time to understand what you're experiencing. I'm so grateful I found her and would highly recommend her to anyone dealing with chronic neck, shoulder, or nerve pain.
