We are so happy to have met Dr Ghazal and her team. She was referred to us by our good friends who raved about her after they had success with IVF and the birth of their daughter. After meeting with many different OB's and fertility specialists, I was very impressed with Dr Ghazal. I honestly felt a major sense of relief when I met her. She really knew what she was doing. & if something didn't work out, she seemed confident that she would find a way. Not only was she brilliant, and well versed in our situation, (which I felt was super complicated at the time), she was also incredibly empathetic with great bedside manner (not something you get in the medical field hardly ever). AVOID THIS CLINIC. After 3 strikes you should be out, I gave them 5. I am so sad with this whole process and I hope this review helps other women avoid this terrible practice. I am still waiting for "a follow up call" weeks later once again so I feel it's finally time to share my horrible experience. Please note-- I rarely write reviews (this is probably my first one), but I feel it's important to share my experience given the sensitivity of fertility care. While Dr. Gazelle has an impressive background with degrees from Harvard and Stanford and is very knowledgeable with statistics, my overall experience was extremely disappointing and, honestly, disheartening. From the start, the practice felt disorganized and impersonal. Her staff was kind when you reached them, but there were no check-ins, no follow-ups, and not even confirmation that my appointments were on the calendar--I had to constantly call to make sure I was scheduled. I was doing more work than them. Every appointment required pre-payment in cash, even before a short five-minute Zoom call, and Dr. Gazelle was consistently 15-30 minutes late, both virtually and in person. The promised "concierge liaison" never followed up regarding my lab work. Again, I had to reach out 3x to get loaded into my portal and each time they were loaded wrong. If I wanted to review the results I had already paid for, I was required to book another appointment and pay an additional $125 just to have them explained. Oh and note, the doctor won't get on the call until the cc transaction has processed. Please also note I do not care about paying cash for great service or medical care. We are financially sound. But the way they demanded the funds were just weird. I am business owner and this isn't the correct etiquette. After only a few tests (which in my opinion were not thorough), she quickly labeled me as "unexplained infertility" and immediately steered the conversation toward IUI--while simultaneously telling me it probably wouldn't work--and then pushed IVF as the only real option. "You must be exhausted after a year of trying on and off-- IVF is probably the best easiest route for you now." (Manipulation tactic-- "exhausted".). I came to her for answers not a magic $30-60k procedure that also could fail. No answers were given as everything she found was extremely healthy and normal. Beyond the financial frustration, what hurt the MOST was the lack of compassion. Fertility treatment is already one of the most emotionally vulnerable journeys a person can walk through, and I felt unseen, unheard, and treated more like a number than a patient. What should be a supportive and hopeful process felt transactional and even fear-driven. My feedback: This clinic desperately needs better systems, better communication, and above all, better patient care. A strong degree means little without empathy, organization, and follow-through. I cannot in good conscience recommend this doctor, despite her impressive credentials. read more

Clearly, Dr. Ghazal works for some people. I chose to see her based on the glowing reviews, but I was stunned by her closed-mindedness and inability to listen. I feel a duty to write this review because my experience was deeply upsetting, and I don't see it reflected here. She does ask a lot of questions, which I appreciated at first. But every time I shared something, she used it as an opportunity to tell me I was wrong about my own health. I've never felt so dismissed or shamed by a doctor. For example, I mentioned that a supplement I'm taking has helped relieve pain related to hormone fluctuations. She told me that wasn't possible. I also told her that hormonal birth control made me feel very unwell. Her response was: "If you think birth control hormones are bad, pregnancy hormones are worse!" She then argued that synthetic and natural hormones are the same. I can't imagine saying this to someone who is coming to you because they want to get pregnant -- and who knows that pregnancy isn't always easy. This only scratches the surface of the claims she made, which were, at best, inappropriate and, at worst, outright false. I've since spoken to other doctors about some of what she told me, and they strongly disagreed. I've now transferred to another clinic that charges the same and -- most importantly -- makes me feel respected and heard. read more

I HIGHLY recommend this doctor to anyone that is struggling with infertility! After 10 years and five doctors before I had met Dr. Ghazal, I thought my case was closed. The doctor before Dr. Ghazal even recommended I get a surrogate after saying she did everything she could. I went to Dr. Ghazal as a last effort. She heard my story, and made some suggestions. I followed through, and to my surprise, I got pregnant!!! That never happened before. After I had my daughter, I went back to her again. Her protocol works again! Now, I have a son. And you know what? I'm sitting here pregnant with my third child after seeing Dr.Ghazal again. This is surreal to me. I thought this wasn't going to happen to me. She knows what she's doing! Every staff member we have come in contact with in the office have been so caring, compassionate and gentle with us. Nurse Krystal has been our little IVF angel taking so much time to answer all of our questions and concerns. I waited before writing this because I wanted to give them a chance to take care of this first. It wasn't. Before you commit at this place, check with your insurance company if they are under their network. I trusted they would do that, and 2 years later, I'm receiving thousands of dollars of bills, and now it's too late for my insurance company to even rectify them. This is very upsetting. I went back and forth for a year, and still, this happened. Not to mention, the service was not pleasant on the doctor's part. I definitely wasn't a fan. She really doesn't know how to connect with her patients. The other staff were nice. I wouldn't recommend it. It definitely wasn't worth the stress. I wish there were more stars to give. I cannot thanks Dr. Ghazal, Molly and the rest of the staff at Rise enough. My husband and I turned to IVF because we are both carriers of a genetic condition that we did not want to pass on. I had gone through 2 IVF cycles at a different (bigger, well-known) clinic with nothing to show for it and a doctor that really didn't seem to care. I was very low thinking that maybe I was not a good candidate for IVF. Not true! I found Rise through my insurance and once I had my consultation with Dr. Ghazal, I knew I had come to the right place. She listened to all my concerns and came up with a personalized protocol that would work for me, and it did! She did all of my monitoring appointments and I was kept in the loop about my levels and how everything was looking going ito my retrieval. My retrieval yielded the highest number of good quality eggs that I had ever had. We began my transfer after that and again Dr. Ghazal and Molly were there every step of the way answering all of my many questions. I am now 13 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I have Dr. Ghazal and Rise to thank for that. I am so grateful to them that I can't even describe it. I don't write Yelp reviews too often, but if you are reading this and trying to decide what clinic to go to, I really think you should meet with Dr. Ghazal and see if Rise is a good fit for you. I am so grateful we found Dr. Ghazal. I was one of her first patients at Rise Fertility. Dr. Ghazal and her staff are truly amazing. They are both compassionate and professional. I have had IVF treatments with other Drs. and ended in chemical pregnancies. Every time I went into another cycle, my protocol wasn't changed, therefore my out come didn't change. Once we found Dr. Ghazal, she listened to our story and offered a new protocol. She's very innovative and is in the know about the newest studies and technology. After 3 failed cycles, my husband and I decided to change fertility clinics and received a recommendation to check out RISE. Needless to say, it was one of the best decisions we have ever made! During our initial consultation with Dr. Ghazal, we could tell that her approach was very different than most fertility doctors. We had two embryos remaining from my retrieval at my prior clinic, and wanted to transfer one of those embryos. During a consultation with another clinic, we were told by the doctor that he "would never use" the remaining embryos due to their grading. Dr. Ghazal disagreed with that approach. When we asked what medicine regimen Dr. Ghazal would use, she advised us that she needed to invest time reviewing my medical records to come up with a personalized recommendation. She would not utilize a cookie-cutter "one size fits all" approach like most fertility doctors seem to do.  Dr. Ghazal then prepared a detailed plan to use an "modified natural cycle," which involved less medication than I had to take during my failed cycles. That plan also required more doctor visits to monitor my ovulation cycle. Dr. Ghazal was very dedicated to our cause that she opened the office for appointments on weekends and offered to schedule my FET on Thanksgiving if necessary. She was also was able to identify a medical condition that very likely caused my prior failed cycles and easily fixed the issue. Dr. Ghazal is someone whose brain seems to operate on a wholly different wavelength. She is knowledgeable while remaining humble, able to listen to her patients' needs, very empathetic to our concerns, and cheered us on throughout the cycle. Needless to say, her bedside manner is top-notch. Beyond the doctor, the staff at RISE is the best we have encountered in any medical practice. I was fortunate to work with Laura (RN). Laura has extensive medical training and was well equipped in answering my questions. By contrast, the coordinators at my previous clinic seemed to have little training, and merely acted as messengers for the doctors. Laura was also extremely responsive to my emails and phone calls (even at odd hours or on weekends) and was also personable at appointments. Crucially, Laura was also helpful in assisting us with transporting our embryos from my prior clinic to RISE. The RISE team (Allie, Angie, Heidi, Krystal, and Molly) were exceptional to work with! They genuinely became family throughout the process. A little less than a year after our initial consultation with Dr. Ghazal, I gave birth to our second child! As she lays in my arms, all I can think is how grateful I am that we chose to transfer our little "embryo that could" with Dr. Ghazal! read more

I immediately received a call from Maggie at the front desk and she was extremely helpful in setting up an appointment with Dr. Ghazal a fertility assessment. Dr. Ghazal was so sweet and made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease. She has a way of being very matter of fact yet nurturing at the same time. She walked me through all of the tests and assessments that she was going to do in order to give me all of the information that I was looking for and lay out the different options ahead of me. Infertility is a hard road. By the time we make our 1st appointment with a clinic we've already faced so much. The team at RISE made me feel heard, cared for, comforted and hopeful. The office itself is clean and professional but beyond that they CARE! Dr. G has a very warm presence but also will provide clear direction. She always listened to our fears and concerns and guided us through every step of the way. I've found her approach is more conservative than other clinics, but I appreciate her due diligence. After all, why cut corners now!?! Heidi was our Nurse, and I am literally tearing up when I think of how much I appreciate her. She saw us through some really dark moments and always found a way to restore our faith. She is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. RISE is so lucky to have her! 4.5/5. Rise fertility is amazing. Particularly Dr. Ghazal and her medical staff are amazing. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Ghazal and Molly. Prior to coming to Rise, I had been seen at a fertility clinic in Clovis, and communication was difficult. Most clinics often say call us immediately if you have questions but it's near impossible to reach anyone. That is not the case here! Whether it was through email or phone call, someone was always available for assistance. I think that's important considering how much Ivf is. My only complaint is that being new to an Ivf cycle, I didn't understand that a quote for Ivf does not include the transferring of the egg or the care after before graduation. I felt like that part of communication that was handled by their billing staff wasn't upfront. Initially the ob visits were paid out of pocket because they said my insurance didn't cover it and then it was. Angie is great however sometimes it felt frustrating. I want to say the clinic is so nice but they're used to wealthier patients so the experience with billing insurance is lacking. Of course this does not take away from how amazing the staff all are. FRONT DESK STAFF: The front desk staff is extremely polite and helpful. Maggie was always at the desk when I arrived and always greeted me with a smile and was great at answering any questions I had. A lot of doctor's offices have rude front desk staff which really takes away from the patient experience and hurts the reputation of the Doctor. So I appreciate that Dr. Ghazal has staffed her office with helpful and polite staff to round out her amazing team. NURSE COORDINATOR: Molly was my nurse coordinator and she was amazing! Very easy to talk to, answered all my questions, kept me up to date on everything, showed me how to do all my injections, and on a personal note, was just such a sweet lady to work with. After A LOT of research, I chose Dr. Ghazal and RISE fertility to guide me through my egg-freezing journey. My research consisted of reading countless reviews on Yelp and sifting through ratings on FertilityIQ. I thought it would be best to have a couple doctors picked out and then decide who I felt the most comfortable with. I decided to meet with Dr. Ghazal first, and after meeting her, I knew I didn't have to look any further. For me, she was it! I just finished the process and have nothing but amazing feelings about the entire process. From the very first appointment, Dr. Ghazal and her staff were so kind, patient, and informative. If I had any doubts, they were all gone after the first appointment. All throughout the process, I was listened to, comforted, and reassured. My primary nurse was Krystal and I truly couldn't have asked for a better nurse to be by my side. She and I communicated through phone and email leading up to and throughout the process and I never had to worry about not getting a response. She's just an angel. I also worked with Laura, another RN, and she was just as amazing and informative, helping me with all my fears. I was very nervous about my procedure day, but the nurse and anesthesiologist at the clinic were absolutely amazing! Just before they started, Dr. Ghazal came in and held my hand as they helped me fall asleep. She is one of, if not the most, nurturing physicians I have ever worked with.
