I did receive a check in the mail when I needed it. They explained it was a promotional advertisement for the new store coming to town. It was $5,000. I've been paying it on time for 2 years. Now that I'm almost done. They offered me more cash. But!! The catch is that even though the loan amount requested this time is smaller, it would have to be a secured loan!! I received a check in the mail for $5000.30. It was the 30cents that confused me. After reading the entire agreement I found the rule of 78s. That means if the loan is for less than 61months & over $5000 you will pay more for paying off the loan early than if you just make the regular payments. read more

I had several loans with Republic and paid them all off on time and no late payments...after I got sick with cancer I got in a bad financial bind but I always made sure their payment was made on time causing me to to not be able to pay my other bills causing my credit score to crash ...I paid them off completely and I applied for another loan to pay off my other bills...they refused my application because of my now bad credit score...it didn't matter I paid them every time...they have NO customer appreciation what so ever...all they care about is the credit score numbers...I even explained to them that if I re the loan I could catch up and get back on top...NO CUSTOMER APPRECIATION WHATSOEVER... read more

The customer service in anderson sc office dani is the one that constantly called me i paid my loan off in full as i was told amt in full I paid off the loan and got a phone call 1 day after and 2nd day after and 3rd day and it was dani saying oh you owe $2.17 is due you can pay it over the phone my bank charges fees for under 5.00 and also cc use is 3.95 and I didn't owe 2.17 they should of said thank you for paying off your loan we will take care of this ..no I harassed by this company for years always paid my loan payment sometimes slow for medical reasons but never over 30 days under i paid and set up payments always ..the fees they charge is totally wrong this is bad lender don't fall prey and use them you cant ever refinance any loan to reduce interest or balance they just want all the highest interest and take advantage of people and consumers they are so not professional and don't treat their customers good I was harassed for 2.17 it was unreal I talked to regional district manager travis and he ans spoke and I tried to voice that people that are under him regardless treated me awful .I was in the cancer center doing my treatment and my nurse heard the conversation because phone was on speaker as DANI at the anderson sc was harassing me for 2.17 demanding and saying I had to phone very inconsiderate person and company..I would never get a loan from them reported them to sc state consumer affairs and other areas to get my situation evaluated..people don't use them you will never pay the off and interest is way too high others places nicer and help you more .. read more

The loan was easy to obtain at time when I needed it. The interest rate is high, but that is to be expected with this type of line. The staff is friendly and will call with payment reminders, but this is not my complaint. In November of 18 I received a call reminding me my payment was due. I asked the balance and decided to make the payment in that amount to satisfy the loan. I paid the full balance. In December 18 I received a call stating I had missed a payment, impossible since I satisfied the loan in November, I told the representative this. She said there was still a balance. I was confused, but paid, it was $30 and I wanted to be done. So now when I received a call in January 19 saying I missed my payment I am not very happy. This time for only $1. Again I make the payment, I just want this loan closed. Now in April I check my credit report and there is a 30 day past due from this lender for February 19. I dispute and in only two days they return it as legitimate. Now I have a recent late payment after years of credit report and a perfect payment history. I do. Ot know how to fix this and will never use or recommend their services. read more
