This is not the first time that my garbage has not been picked up. It has been missed more than 3 times. Kelly Elliott on the East side is a small area for garbage pickup, and it is a Friday pickup. Does that have anything to do with no pickup? This is very bad when we pay more and get less for our money. I do not think that Arlington is a "Dream City". If the city officials care about the people of Arlington, they really should do something about things. After 5'oclock there is not even a number or an email address that you can get a hold of the garbage company. If this rating was set up correctly it would be 0 - 5 and I would give them a '0'. The company knocked trash all over the yard, intentionally knocked over cans, to the point of escalation. After last week's exclamation, I found the trash guys taking pictures of the house. Why that's necessary I don't know. Then the green waste came, the guy got out of the truck, open. The top, left it open, drove around, stopped in front of the house like he was going to take it out, and then just drove away. He saw me come out of the house to flag him, he just kept driving. My babies were very happy here. The groomers were kind to me and my dogs. My babies were done quickly so I had them back home quickly.

The only reason they are getting a star is because I have to put something in there. I have had several problems with Republic Service. They don't pick up as scheduled, they don't put the dumpster back in the correct spot so that we can close the doors and to TOP it off they charged me for not picking up on the missed days. I have spoken with several supervisors and operational managers and the problem is fixed for a little while but within a few months it starts all over again. The worse thing is that this company is the only choice we have in Arlington, TX for service. read more

This company has got to have some of laziest and inexperienced drivers. We live on a corner lot of a cul de sac and the driver pulls up ajd starts honking his truck horn because I am parked in front of my house and a car is parked in front of the house across the street. Asked me to move my truck. I refused to do so for the simple fact that he isnt always going to have things easy. Forever Eye-Roll I don't understand how "the second largest provider of non-hazardous solid waste collection, transfer, disposal, recycling and energy services in the United States," hasn't made customer service a priority. Regardless of the time of day I have to call there is always a minimum wait time of 30 minutes before I'm able to speak with anyone. Often times the Republic Services representative I speak with is annoyed, or bothered by having to help. It's ridiculous. They're able to have people tend to their Yelp reviews, but heaven forbid they have someone answer a phone within 5 minutes. It's beyond aggravating to be so blatantly mistreated by someone I'm forced to use for a service that is necessary. I wish there were other options. Horrible experience. We've been using this service and when I plan to cancel They told me I cannot cancel and would not return my call. After multiple attempts to connect with them, they told me to write a certified letter and sent it in and would allow me to cancel and 60 day. I wrote the letter, sent it in. Half a month later, they told me I have to pay another $50 to remove the container, I didn't want to have a headache and And agreed to pay the $50 then they snuck in a renew contract when I paid her $50 and don't me cancel the service. read more

Walked out this morning to bring my recycle bin back in and found it to still be full. Walked to my neighbors to see it was empty. My neighbor had someone come over early this morning and parked their car about 5' away from my container. I called Republic Services and spoke to a CS rep to be told that is considered to be "blocked in". Really annoying being that I am an avid recycler. My container is usually full every week. Multiple weeks I am going having to go back into the container, prior to taking it out, to readjust items to get it extra material to fit. Even after the call I would've hoped that they would've sent a driver back out to swing by at pick it up. The CS reps fix was to for me to go ask my neighbor to make sure when a friend swings by and the recycle bin is out to not park within 10' of it. Yep... not kidding! I do know that if this becomes a habit for this company then I will just opt out and throw everything in the land fill! One would think being they are helping this city to recycle that they would be more advantageous to help the community and citizens rather than just having a black and policy as to when a bin is "blocked"! read more

If a negative star was allowed it would be -5. DO NOT RENT A DUMPSTER FROM THEM! They will lie, give you paperwork that doesn't add up or make sense, and create "electronic signature s" that never existed to change prices after the fact. Could not get them to provide me with accurate billing statements, and has been over six months to get my "approved refund" that they made up...which is still 4-6 weeks out. Another said 8 weeks out. Trust me this company is shady, stealing money, and I plan to report it to the state and see if any attorneys out there are interested in looking into this as a potential class action suit. read more

I have spent a lot of money on my trash cans , I have spoken to several people, placed a sign on my cans to please place my cans back up right with the lids on them. But instead I come home and trash can In the Middle of road lid thrown down, this is the most horrible in caring people I've ever seen as a trash pickup people. Been with RS for years in our FTW location. Now that we're moving to Arlington it has been a mess. I have HAD TO call every day since oct 1st for constant issues. From being overcharged for a container to not getting service to empty it. I have been paying for a 40yrd container when I only received a 30yrd. I spoke to a manager Ayla who refused to give me her information and assured me she'd call me back to help resolve my many issues. She did call me back - only to say "I'm calling you back like I said I would but I have no update" NEVER heard from her again. The service is non existent!! Requested 3 pick ups for the 2 dumpsters we have this last week and only had ONE. I was assured ASSURED they would pick up around 2pm today and nothing has happened! My city(Arlington TX) uses this company for trash removal service and trash pickup is two mornings a week(Tuesday's and Fridays). I've lived here for 7 years now and yesterday was the first time they didn't take everything that I set out(a large trash bag was left with a notice on it. It seems to have fallen under the 'Overweight/Oversize' criteria and that's why it was left. Which is fair.). The trash pickup service is included in my monthly water/sewage/trash bill from the city of Arlington and it's one utility bill I actually don't mind paying because the cost is always low and I feel like I get my money's worth out of it. read more

Republic continues to miss monthly pick ups. I've had to call a half dozen times this year for monthly pick ups. Now they want to charge me over $200 for additional pick up that they missed. Poor logistics, poor customer service, poor company. read more

Holidays we would give them snacks , throughout the year we give them water and cookies.. this crew we have now are disrespectful, not the same crew.. I got threatened to move my Infinty out of the street, 1 foot so they can reach the trash...??? My car was no where near the trash. They parked the truck in the wrong spot... one of the workers, yelling at my while I was on the side of the house working.. I had to stop, he yelling at my car clearly not in the way.. he kept yelling over me... 6 foot area he had to load trash... I can't believe we are required by the city to use this service for our business! Every time I have to call for anything, I'm on the phone for no less than 30 minutes. Today I was on the phone for an hour. I called to order another dumpster because people are dumping in ours and it is now overloaded and too heavy to pick up. I was lectured for 20 minutes about safety for their drivers and how I need to make sure we don't let this happen. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Your job is not to lecture me, I already know what the issue is, which is why I'm calling! If you trained your representatives to not stay on the phone for an hour with 1 customer, maybe others wouldn't be waiting for over 30 minutes to talk to someone. Business Customer: I have requested an additional dumpster pick up for today as my regular was missed this week and last week. Very nice customer service person who told me it would be today. Last Monday 6/20 I called in to schedule a dump & return ... it took ya'll 4 days to get out there.. and took me to call yall 3 times during last week to get ya'll to do it.... after I paid upfront at that! I now need another dump & return .. called in today and spoke with the rudest girl ever!! I also paid for a rental fee for the month of May on 6/16... and when I called on 6/20 to schedule that dump, ya'll charged me the rental fee for the month of June as well as the dump fee... Now today when I call in.. ya'll are trying to charge me for another rental fee.... what the hell??? And your rude employee put me on hold for over 30 minutes when I asked to speak to a manager... i have since hung up and called back and once again, am on hold! What happened to your company... I am writing this review in behalf of the company I work for, Excellence Auto Direct. First and foremost!!! They do not show up on the scheduled pick ups. We have to constantly make phone calls to reschedule. We are moving from our current location, as soon as we found out we would be moving we made a call to let them know this. We called early December and stated we wanted to terminate our contract the person we spoke to let us know that she would have someone give us a call within 24 hours. We never heard from anyone and they let our termination 'grace period' pass. My general manager spoke to an employee named Jennifer, he explained the situation to her. She said there was no record of a phone call in the system then proceeded to explain that there is two systems where they record notes and that she had access to both of the systems(???) and after 20 minutes of going through the "systems" found the calls we had made December but because our 'grace period' had passed there was nothing she could do! They don't do what is expected of them but they expect us to keep giving them our money!!! We are very frustrated at how unprofessional and rude everyone we spoke to about this situation was to us. We have problems with a cat always ripping up our trash bags. Of course that means we are out picking up the trash to put into other bags before the trash truck runs. 3 months ago, we stopped the trash truck and asked if we got a metal can if it would be a problem. The driver was VERY nice and said NO Problem. So for the last 3 months we put our sacks of trash in it, the guys pick it up. Now last pick up day, we find a note on the can stating we can't use the can. We call and were told that someone would contact us BEFORE our next pick up. Well today is pick up day...we put the can out...and guess what...THEY DIDN'T PICK UP THE TRASH! If they came the same time each pick up day it wouldn't be such a problem however sometimes they come before 7:30 am other times it is in the afternoon. The cat is always around. The guys only have to take off a lid. The bags are the same if they are on the ground or in the can, however if in the can we don't have trash all over the neighborhood. This stupid cat seems to enjoy our trash, and doesn't bother the neighbors stuff. We have tried spraying ant spray to deter this animal, but it does no good. What do we do now? read more

order a dumster 3 days before, and when the day came to deliver the dumper, they never did, i call customer services 3 times what was wrong with my dumper, they only gave me a reference number, until the fourth time I call and asked for the direct Telephone number, the person from customer services told me that because he had not given me the number to speak to them directly, I spoke with Cristal and s he had me on line for about 6 minutes just to tell me that the delivery time was going to do until about 5 pm , I lost about 4 hours for each worker who was waiting for the dumper, I never ever do things with them again read more

I want to say that our trash collector's that pick up trash in Grand Prairie, Republic Trash are the best. Not only do they go out of their way to ensure all trash is picked up but they are extremely friendly. After contacting Republic through the person that signed me up I finally got a refund of the cart delivery and the fuel recovery, which was based on the total bill. Problem is the billing number was of no help, they basically told me that's what we charge. Good thing I kept the email and phone of the lady that signed me up. I wish I could give this retched company a zero! My husband checked their website to determine their holiday pick up schedule which stated there would be no holiday pick up on the day of the holiday but the day after. The trash was not picked up the next day so my husband called Republic and was told the pick up was on the holiday. My husband explained what he found on their website and was told by their representative there would be a "courtesy" pick up by 5:00 pm that day. There was no "courtesy" or a pick up of our trash that day so my husband called Republic the next day and was again told by their representative there would be a "courtesy" pick up that day. Yep, no pick up. So my husband called again and spoke with yet another representative explaining for a third time what had happened. That representative said there was "no such thing as a 'courtesy' pick up." That's when we decided it was time to cancel Republic as our trash collector. My husband called them and told them we were cancelling, he was told the date they would pick up their bins which they did retrieve on the assigned date. We were stunned to receive a bill from Republic for $80! We did not cancel early! We were totally current on our bill! Of course we refused to pay their trumped up bill! They took us to collection because we were unwilling to pay them for picking up THEIR property. I would only recommend this company to my worst enemy and even they may be too nice to have to deal with Republic. They are as trashy as what they pick up!
