Moved int a new home in the Montgomery Texas area. They were the highest priced service of the four we found. However, we needed regular bulk pickup service and they offered that for no waiting period where most other companies charged a lot more for the first three months of service and then the bulk pickup would be free. So we went with Republic. Even though they told me we could put our own can at the street, they kept tagging the can and eventually not picking up the garbage from it at all with the tag stating that it had to be a Republic Services labeled bin. When we cancelled the service after only 2 weeks, they charged us $245 including fees for picking up a can, and several other taxes and fees. Additionally, the three other companies who serve our area all provide workers to load the garbage instead of ONLY an automated truck...so if there are items which don't fit inside the bin, they don't take them. Very disappointed in what was promised versus what was delivered. Happy to have switched to anther provider. read more

Gosh... Republic sent me my quarterly bill and it's gone up for the 2nd time in 3 billing cycles. I go home from work and find mine is the only trash on the street not picked up. I've lived in Houston most of my life where the svc is less expensive and much better. read more

So 20 days later, another hour wasted on hold and some irritated neighbors that are sick of seeing trash can at the curb republic wants to charge me 50 to retrieve pickup was scheduled for apr 5. Called again and asked if crew could retrieve it from further up driveway. Was advised it could be noted but if not collected I would be charged an additional 120.00. Really? Really!? To top it...was paid up to end of service date and just recieved ANOTHER 150.00 bill. Ok come on cut and pasters respond and tell me that you''re sorry to lose me as a customer and that my feedback is oh so valuable. You have effectively lost me for life as a customer and will be ensuring my POA removes you as a possible service provider. read more

Called Republic Services in May of 2019 to give the date to discontinue services because I would be moving out of the area. The person took my information and, I told her where I'd leave the container and she said ok. I left the container where I said I would the night I departed. October 2019 I get a letter from a debt collector saying that I owe $66 to Republic Services. I'm thinking, why the hell didn't Republic write or email me, I left a forwarding address and why the hell didn't she tell me this when we talked last May? I don't deal with collectors but I called them anyway, Then called Republic and sent them a check dated November 10th. The girl said she'd contact the collectors and straighten it out. Then late December the collector called me back asking about the debt, and without cursing I got him straight. Now I've got to see if my credit score dropped from 814 because of them, If it did, we'll talk again and there'll be lots of cursing. I would never recommend republic. read more

Terrible residential pick up service for our sub in Spring TX. Very unreliable with their so called schedule. The slightest inclement weather and they find a reason not to show up, however UPS, FedEx, PO, and other services are all out taking care of their customers. When you call them you are put on hold for along time and then they always have a heck of a time trying to find your zone even after you give them your address. Competition is always the answer to great service but unfortunately there are no competitors. Trying to talk with them now but have been on hold for 55 minutes. Figures. read more

These people are working themselves out of job security. I called about service because my neighbor across the street uses these guy. I inquired three times about service and on the third time, they told me that they didn't service "my area". Tomorrow I get to watch the truck pass my house two times. One- after they pick up my neighbors trash and the second because they have to go all the way down to end of my street and turn around to get out of my neighborhood. Geniuses! Don't bother - look for a company that wants to make a profit. read more
