This company is an abortion of a company. The billing makes NO sense at all, portable restrooms are rarely, if ever, cleaned. I have been trying to work with them to see what we actually owe, as I can get one invoice on the same property in one month, then get another invoice for the same month, same property but hundreds of dollars differently, *continuously*. This is a horribly run company. In Spring, Texas (Northwest Harris County Municipal Utility District #28). I have been trying to obtain a trash can for a month with no success. I have called multiple times and have been on hold for up to an hour waiting to speak to someone, but just end up stuck in the queue. Their website for Texas is down and inoperable (http://www.rwstx.com/). A strong indicator of how poorly managed they are. I have also sent multiple requests to their main corporate site (https://www.republicservices.com), but have not heard back from them. If you can find a way to avoid using this company, please do so and save yourself a headache. The most frustrating part of all of this is that I am being billed and I am paying for garbage collection, but I am unable to use the service I am paying for because I am unable to obtain a garbage can from them. I'm in Dickinson, TX. I would give them a negitive rating, but a one star is as low as I can go. This company is a really bad company, and going further down hill, the citizens of this town have been suffering as this company is the one that won the contract with the city. The pick up has been very sporadic, and the local office has decided to not pick up items such as wood of any type, any type of rock even if just a small one, a single piece of sheetrock all being called constrution material, I say this as Ive had a trash can sitting outside waiting to be picked up for the last couple of weeks. I have reviewed all the material between the city, to the customers, and on the site. There is nothing in any of the information provided stating we are not allowed to put that in there. There was one comment loaded after Harvey stating they wouldn't pick up due to the amount of material, and another company was going to pick it up. but other than that, there is nothing about it. so with that It seems like they are trying to deceive their clients and force them to pay over 1000 times the amount they pay for regular trash so they can deposit a bin that isn't really required for small jobs. This company or the executives don't care about their clients. Their customer service reps will take calls but not load any issues so it looks like they are doing good jobs, they delete any messages that are sent through their site, and then state that there was never anything sent. My fellow neighbors have been complaining about this company to our city officials for a while. But due to the contract, the customers are stuck with this terrible company that no longer cares. The Executives and the board are only looking at the bottom line and filling their pockets without thinking, what if this was to happen to us? what if our employees just stopped working for us, or the services we pay for quit doing what was being paid for. They are also not thinking that without the customers they would not have anything, they wouldn't have a company. But hey who cares right they are receiving 6,7, or even 8 digit figures and no issues caring about their customers. this may not be true. but if they really did, they would really take control of their company and not let it go to ruins. I say this as I work for a company that has grown and covers the world. Our CEO, and Owner both take any issues and will find out what is going on. The owner has his hands in the business and wants it to succeed where as the ones at the top of this one don't seem to care and seems like they want it to fail so they no longer have to pay so they can take what money is left and just walk away. This may not be true. But they haven't done anything to fix the issues. So Donald Slager, Jon Vander Ark, Tim Stuart, Brian Bales, Catharine Ellingse, and the remaining 4 of the leadership, and 11 board members, do something about your company. If you don't want to get your hands dirty then shut it down and let someone who wants the make a difference take your places. We have a business and our normal pick up is Monday and being we were off Monday for Christmas I called and rescheduled a pick up for Tuesday the 28th...they never picked up and I have called and they scheduled for next day and service still hasn't been picked up and no one can help you...all they do is tell you they will reach out to technician and put notes in computer that no one reads and so still no pick up...this company is here in Houston Texas off of Little York yet the people you talk to are in Arizona and can't reach anyone here locally...how convenient for them. It took until Dec. 27th, but I finally received a statement that said zero dollars are due. I also received a check crediting back the stop payment fee. The only reason that this issue was resolved was because I left a negative review, and someone within the company actually cared. Republic Services (Commercial service) are crooks, worst customer service never follow up on service complaints. Unless you are cancelling service, and then they get attorneys involved because your letter for cancellation was not dated 60 days prior. It was dated 30 days. Who cares that you don't want their services. But the attorney will allow to cancel the contract of a fee $4616.42 of liquidated damages, why? If you don't want their services, you should be allowed to cancel, with a notice but don't renew it for 3 years again... or expect you to pay $4600.00, A year ago we started getting over charges $51.26 for a box over the edge of the top of canister plus other fees. $9.00 for container refresh (they don't even do anything extra but we pay for something) You take our monthly rate of $357.00 with Monday, Wed, Thur. and Friday pick up it comes out to $21.00 a pick up of the whole (8yards) canister, so the charge of $51.26 is twice as much for having a box or bag over the top. Our bill of $357.00 is actually $530.00 with all the extra fees, not including any overages they want to charge! read more

I finally called to cancel after over a decade of service because the rates just kept increasing while the level of service remained mediocre at best. I was told by the person who completed my cancellation over the phone that I would receive a pro-rated bill in the mail considering I was not going to be using the usual full 3 months of service for this billing cycle. MONTHS later, I receive a notice from their "collections department" claiming that this is their "final notice" after "multiple written notices" and that my account is "severely past due". Furthermore, they are now threatening to send me to collections. Really? I have excellent credit and have never been late with a payment in the 15 years I've been a client. I have received a paper bill EVERY 3 months over this time period and have paid EVERY bill on time via check with no issues. And then, Poof! I magically receive this "final notice", also via mail, but somehow I've missed "multiple written notices" prior to this? Total garbage. Republic Services is without a doubt the worst vendor we have. Without notification, they changed my pick up date from Friday to Monday. No notice, just stopped coming by on Friday. We are a business that is closed on Sunday. I really do not want my trash to sit on the street from Saturday afternoon through Monday morning. Not very appealing, to say the least. Every number you call routes you to a call center in North Carolina. You then get to speak with a minimum wage moron that tells you whatever you want to hear, just to get you off the phone. After that, nothing happens. After looking over all the other reviews, it has become evident that I am not the only one that has had problems with these folks. Unfortunately, my company has a national account with Republic Services so I am forced to use them. If you have a choice, I would suggest you run the other way.
