Numerous missed trash pick up! Can't get anyone on the phone, goes to voicemail & no call back.

have called multiple times to get them to pick up my trash that they keep missing. Got all my neighborhood neighbors on both sides but not me, tried to flag down truck and got ignored. Literally a sub par TRASH service...you had 1 job and apparently inept at it... ZERO STARS read more

I have been a customer for over 14 years. I recently wanted to cancel my service with Republic Services. They want me to pay a $415 early termination fee. I have been trying to cancel for 3 weeks. I was first told that I needed to give a 60 day notice, which is fine, but I don't feel that the termination fee is acceptable. They are difficult to deal with and I got passed around from one associate to another. They are well known for hiking their prices, so if you have you account set on autopay, check it regularly. I would feel that a long time customer should be treated better. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. We requested and got a contract for a 20 yrd dumpster on 5/20. The dumpster was to be delivered on 5/22 and we were told it would be delivered in the morning. At 3:36 pm on 5/22 the driver called us and saint they did not have any 20 yrd, would a 15 yrd be okay, we said yes. The driver called back at 4:06 pm to ask which side of the driveway to place the dumpster on. He never showed up. Tried to call the driver back and he will not answer the phone. It is now 5/23 and we still do not have the dumpster we have paid and signed a contract for. Started calling the local San Angelo, TX Republican Services office at 8:00 am as that is when the website says they open on Saturday (8:00-12:00). Keep getting message they are closed, and to call back during normal business hours. Searched online for their national customer service number, but once I found it (1-844REPUBLIC) and called it I got the same message about being closed and call back during normal business hours. I randomly found and called their Las Vegas office and it routed me to their national customer service. The customer service rep said they would escalate. I called back in to customer service 3 more times, was told it was escalated, one time was told I would get a call back, never did, and the last time I called I got the same rep I spoke with the first time I called in. The final time I called, I was told office are closed on Saturday, nothing would be done, could not get an ETA of when I would be getting the dumpster for which we have a contract stating it would be delivered 5/22, and that I should speak with business sales to cancel my contract and get my money back. Got transferred to business sales and they escalated to the operations manager for whatever good that does. We need this dumpster and there are no other companies locally fo this service. It is very sad and frustrating, the way this company treats its customers, that they require you sign a contract with them and then do not honor it. Save yourself the frustration and stress, do not use Republic Services if you don't have to. They do not care one bit about the customer. read more

We are a 2 person family and have very little trash. Maybe 1-2 bags a week. Our bill was around $30 a month. It was set to auto pay and continued to be not paid. We then were being charged late payment fees. Next our bill doubled to $70 a month. We were told sorry everyone's bill is doubled for fuel and fees now. Sorry to say I am not paying $10 per bag to throw out garbage. This company ihas gotten greedy and found a way to hustle the customer. Shame on you republic. read more

I'm going to just keep this short and sweet It's sad that with all the things going on in the world right now CORONA VIRUS current loss of employment due to virus or downturn in oilfield or shelter in place Most companies are working with customers and helping them threw this hard time suspending payments or allowing them to make a payment lower than what is due not republic services I would gladly switch to another provider if I had the option to do so but until a time I'm stuck with this place all I can say is Stay safe and bless y'all read more

EDITED REVIEW: When I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I wrongly attributed three weeks of missed recycle and bulk pickups to the company, when in fact, it was my own fault for a screw up made when I attempted to make the calendar "easier to read / interpret". For the last three weeks, I got my schedule backwards, so the missed pickups were my fault alone. As for the companies service, they are decent enough. Occasionally not all of the trash that is contained within the containers has been taken, but this is a rarity. I have yet to experience trash left along the side of my street after a pick-up, like others have posted ... my main complaints would be the transition to every-other-week recycle pickups (I preferred the weekly pickups) and the fact that they don't take glass with their recycling. read more

They missed my house again. My mom put out the recycling and that the trash side by side in the street by the curb at 8 am on Wednesday. By 10 the trash was picked up but not the recycling and by 12:30 as we were going to work the recycling was still not picked up but everyone else's was. Got home after 10pm and it was still there. Mom called on the way to work Thursday and talked to a supervisor (who was rude) and was told it would be picked up later that day after he accused us of putting it out late. Got home and it's still not picked up. So I called today and come to find out they canceled the pick up order and it won't be till Monday when my recycling will get picked up. I would not recommend this company. read more

I will be looking into other disposal services. I paid half of my bill, I was told that I would be put on the list for pick up this morning 1/5/21 and they didn't pick up my trash. I called to see why they failed to pick it up and was told that they tried to get me put back on the schedule on time. That I would have to pay 275 to schedule a pick up. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that someone would give me a call with in 24hours. I wouldn't recommend doing business with them especially paying damn near 300 dollars for them not to picking up the waist. read more

I sent a request last week for bulk pickup, got an e-mail back telling me when my regular pick-up was. Still need bulk pick-up.

Had a missed pickup and called 4 separate days and they said they would be by next day to pick up each time. Each day came and gone. Now the day before pickup they say "Well, your regular service day is tomorrow so no need to get someone out there." I'm like "Yeah, so what are we going to do about me paying for a whole week of no service?" They said " I'm sorry there's nothing I can do for you today" Point is: Idk how the other company that picks up trash out here is but I'll find out because they can't be worse than Republic. read more

I'm not a huge fan. It's frustrating when I'm not supposed to bag the trash going into the recycled bin but then after the trash is picked up I have to pick up the plastic bottles and paper products they dropped in the road. This is a weekly occurrence. I'm forced to pay a higher price for a trash service and I'm not allowed to consider a competitor's service. I want to like the service but I don't see it happening anytime soon. I think I would also be more content with the service if I was allowed to put bagged leaf and grass clippings every two weeks on the side of the road for pick up. I have more than enough room for trash on the weeks I don't do yard work so I don't want to PAY for anther bin just for yard debris. The other option would be to provide twice weekly service again but I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. It just feels like less service for a higher price. read more

My trash did not get picked up again. When I call and get an answer why all they can tell me is they are not perfect and mistakes happen. This is the second time they didn't get my trash. I bet if I forget to pay the bill they will send me a nice past due notice with a fee on it . How nice would it be if the consumer could do that to them. read more
