This place was not easy to find...and when we did it was locked up and empty. It has been permanently closed since December of 2024.

This is such a smart and attractive addition to Main Street in downtown Greenville. It reminds me…read moreof shops you would see frequenting some of Indy's cozy historic neighborhoods. From the minute you ogle the window display you can tell they're going beyond the bedazzled jean pocket/Kohls-ish fashion of rural small towns. No offense to Kohls fans. C'mon, you know what I mean. On this last particular visit, I was particularly obsessed with a pair of loose fitting flow-y pants that caught my eye in the window. They reminded me of a pair I picked up in Seville, Spain last year. Hard to come by! Sadie Grace brings a stylish, progressive line up of dresses, dressy pants, accessories, shoes and overall trendy apparel. Every time I stop in I find something I'd love to buy at prices that match what they're offering. I've also found that they change inventory frequently making it somewhere you want to visit often. In the back of the shop you'll find a hand full of dressing rooms. Last, but certainly not least, you can tell the staff/owners take pride in their work the minute they welcome you into the shop. It's amazing how many businesses miss how important that initial greeting and impression is.

Stumbled upon this cozy little shop today and oh. Em. GEE!!! The owners are local and the wife…read moreowner's mama (that makes sense, right?) was working. She could not have been more kind and warm; I'm so sad I didn't get her and the owners' names (but her daughter also owns the jewelry store across the street!!). Olive & Slate is a must-shop. Instantly the scent of one of their candles hits your senses and you're drawn in. They sell these awesome robot pieces made of metal and tin and are painted and out together by locals. They also sell flour towels with amazing quips on them (see pics below - they're only $7!!), and Mud Pie products that you canNOT love without. You gotta go visit. BRING YOUR MONEY! Buyer's remorse is NOT a factor here!

There are numerous items (like coffee mugs) styled with clever sayings. There are candles and pots, note pads, and ceramics. Near the entrance is a 3' long "Woodie" station wagon car filled with products. I've never seen anything like it! The mix is eclectic, but somehow the owner has a good sense of style and taste to make it look like it goes together. She was glad to assist if I had anything in particular that I was looking for too! Just another cool shop to stop by when downtown in Muncie! Review #2620

My go-to scent is the Bandit's Oil, which sells out quickly, but the owner is always willing to assist and put in an order upon request. The store also accepts plastic bags and films that are not recyclable through Rumpke recycling. Once the city receives 500 pounds of plastics, the TREX company will make a bench for use around the city. So far, over two dozen benches have been made through the efforts of the city's recyclers. I highly recommend that you visit this store in Uptown Westerville.

She is knowledgeable about the artists and products she carries and isn't a pushy salesperson. As a vendor, I appreciate her respect and her timely reports of what I've sold. Out of the local stores I sell in, I think I've spent the most money here! I've bought numerous original paintings (3 by the same artist). Also really dig the ceramics, plants, soaps, and body butters. When I go restock there I go in with the mindset that I don't NEED anymore Art AND that I am trying to DOWNSIZE. But, often end up seeing something I can't let get away because of it's uniqueness and reasonable. Pictured is one painting I've purchased here by Bicklearts.
