We spent $20 per person and we got unlimited rides throughout the SDCC weekend. Some trolley stops have parking where you can leave your car parked for free and you can just hop on the trolley, however many do not. Regardless, the trolley is definitely helpful if you don't want drive and rather avoid parking fees. My favorite line is the Blue Line as it's less congested and covers a lot of DT San Diego, all the way to San Ysidro! I took the line from E street and it dropped me off at 12th and Imperial which wasn't too far from the Hilton next to the Convention Center. The Green Line was cool too but it's arguably the most popular route as it takes you directly to Old Town, the Convention Center, Seaport and other major destinations. Just be prepared to wait before you can actually board as odds are they'll be packed from door to door.

The interior could have been cleaner. I don't believe it's wheelchair accessible. The shuttle dropped us off at the rental car center at the airport. Free airport shuttles leave frequently for both of the terminals. All in all, it's a convenient, inexpensive option to get between the airport and the CBX. Tickets can be bought online, in the CBX app, or in person.

Getting picked for inspection is really a matter of luck (or lack thereof). The inspection is not too much of a hassle, though. They ask for your license, registration, and they do a moderate inspection on your car. Just use common sense, and you'll be fine (don't bring anything that can be considered a weapon, no controlled substances, etc). The inspection will take less than 15 minutes, and you'll be on your way. From there, the road forks into three areas: zona centro (where it leads to to Ave. Revolucion), zona federal (which I believe leads you to Zona Rio), and the roads that lead you to Rosarito and Ensenada.

Although this is said to be a good time, you never know. So for peace of mind and really not much in the way of inconvenience, try the ABC bus if you are going to Ensenada from the states. It also goes to many other parts of Baja and at very reasonable prices. You can go all the way down to Cabo if you like. So where to leave your car? My daughter used an overnight airport parking lot in San Diego near a red trolley stop and took the trolley to the border. It is still a bit of a hassle to get back into the states walking back on a Sunday, but still better than driving. Be prepared to walk so pack light. I would do it again.

It is completely unacceptable to expect riders to sit in dirty conditions where they have to worry about pest infestations, let alone bringing roaches home on their backpacks, belongings, or clothes. Beyond the pests, the interior maintenance is dynamic and lax--seats are broken, dislodged, and clearly not being properly inspected or cleaned. Public transportation needs to provide a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for the passengers who depend on it every single day. Management needs to address pest control and vehicle maintenance immediately.

The old town transit center is nice and provides free parking to use the trolleys, something so rare nowadays, and the trolleys themselves only cost about $2.50, which is also a price that can't be beat. One of my favorite things to do is utilize the transit to get to shows and venues like at the Gaslamp, the convention, or even Petco Park. Used it this weekend for survivor series, and it was such a lifesaver with parking, convenience, and easy access to get to the venue and back. I loved it, and I wish we had this exact smooth service in L.A.; ours sucks. There's no sugar coating that. L.A. needs to learn from San Diego and take notes.
