Look I thought when I first saw outpost it was a gas station but noooooo, I was excitedly wrong. It's an oasis of food and boy oh boy am I glad I found it. Their staff are great and helpful. Completely rude staff member. I was experiencing a roadside bathroom emergency... and as any bathroom emergency warrants, I rushed in with my service animal in my arm, taking note that 1) service dogs were allowed, and 2) the restrooms were labeled with "for customers only". I made sure to purchase something before leaving. As I waited in line to pay, I was berated by a rude employee for having my animal with me. I apologized, obviously flustered, and asked her if she would like me to pay since I utilized the restroom. Shockingly, I was met with an eye roll, and a retort: "next time, just don't bring your dog into the building"... Well, young lady (with the bun and glasses) there will not be a next time! My business in this store lasted a total of 4 minutes. Given my experience with the staff member about the perfectly legitimate service animal, I do not feel safe or comfortable spending any time with such insensitive and rude workers. The Good- Food prices are almost unbeatable, food selection is varied. Cigarettes, etc. Open when you need and also has a drive up for your convenience. Good area serving the Port of Tacoma and Fife. They have sausage and egg biscuit sandwiches and I asked if they could do and egg and bacon one and the lady said sure, and advised me in the future to call in and they can have the order ready, which I have done multiple times. Big parking area for both cars and big rigs. Have bathrooms on site and all COVID precautions in place. Fast and always friendly service. The Bad- Bathrooms are a bit dirty sometimes, but a quick mention to the staff can get them cleaned. The Ugly- If you get here at the wrong times, the line can back up for a couple minutes. If they got another register in they would keep up. The people working there run around like chickens with their heads cut off and definitely earn their money. The Skinny- If you are in the area, I would go out of the way to swing by. Try the Deep fried bacon wrapped chili-dog if you don't have heart issues. Staff are great and I have never had any issues with food, service, etc. By far the best convenience store I've been to. They are currently undergoing some improvements to the set-up. read more

This looks like a convenience store that should be located in the mountains from the outside, rustic, wooden and green metal roofed. What you walk into is the most friendliest staff ever, I swear its like walking into Neiman Marcus! Polite super friendly and helpful, everyone here is cheerful! Always. This is one of the best places to work and the best people to work with. I was lucky enough to work graveyard for about 9 months and loved my job. The regulars made the job to be honest, seeing the same hard working people everyday on their way to work, the end of their shift or just stopping in to say hi. Best salads and sandwich selection, the musubi is THE BOMB, biscuits and gravy is always good, and out of the hot case the egg rolls or chicken and Joe's is the way to go. The people there work round the clock to maintain a high level of service for it's employees and customers. Seriously grateful I got to a part of the team!! read more

I work at a nearby medical facility, so opportunities to get a hot meal are slim. So this is a review for the biscuits and gravy. I don't know if it was a timing thing--I swung by here a little after midnight (lunchtime for NOC shift) I believe the lady at the counter said that they start a round of cooking at 10PM. So, my biscuits were delightfully soft and the gravy had not gotten to the point that it was developing a skin of its own. Will be going back to get chicken and Joes. A helpful tip, if you are familiar with their menu, you can order ahead and they will make it to order. This really is as good as it gets after normal business hours. read more

The service here has gone down hill. Been coming here almost every morning for 3 years as some weekends. They are still acting as if the Covid lockdown is still new. It's a pain in the ass just to get a lid for a cup. So I brought in my own coffee cup. And the amount of attitude I got was out of line. Overall the food is decent and cheap but I'd say the customer service is lacking starting even before Covid. They may have just lost my business. read more

My co-workers rave about the fried gizzards here and well it's been years since I have had any and after a pretty crappy week, I deserve to be naughty right? let me just say that is was all that and then some! i really love this place. they have NICE efficient and quick employees who are constantly there and ready to ring you up ...(oh and, A+++ guys for knowing how to handle a lunch-time long line of hungry truckers and construction workers VERY PROMPTLY)... super good and fresh salads and sandwiches that are priced EXTREMELY fairly.... craving some corn dogs or popcorn shrimp? chicken strips? jo-jo's? this is the place, people. i stopped here recently and i was immediately reminded of why, when i worked in Fife back in 2004, i came here ALL. Usually get the B & G (biscuits & gravy), although I STILL wish they'd switch back to the old, less gelatinous gravy from a coupla-few years ago.
