    The ONE and Only, Jeremy

This is Jeremy, he's the Food and Beverage Director, commonly referred to as The FUN director. What a great personality plus man. We really loved his service. He is an awesome chef and knows how to cook too. Last week was National Banana Day and he had a "banana bonanza",bananas foster, 10 diff. banana bread, banana pancakes... This week, is Dr.Zeus's birthday ... he served up some green eggs and ham... next week is his Marti-Gras - he's making "THE REAL AUTHENTIC Shrimp and Grits"... Benyays, & delicious culinary triumphs await!! Find him and say hello! Quite the man!! A true asset to this company! We'd return just in hopes to see him again.

This Inn is definitely one of best Residence Inn I had stayed so far. They have a good location and the rooms are very spacious and clean. Most importantly the staff was very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was nicely presented and very well maintained. The staff was very attentive in keeping up with everything that was needed during breakfast. They even have small refrigerators to store the milk, yogurt and other cold products. It was very nicely kept. The room was very clean and well organized. It was a small apartment but this one was perfectly organized to be comfortable. The bed is far from the kitchen and the dining table was not inside the living room but next to the kitchen. We booked this hotel on the same night we were staying so the price was probably a bit high from regular rates but it was worth very penny. It is located about a block away from the beach. It is a bit away from the downtown area but just a quick drive or you can take the hotel complimentary shuttle, which runs until 8:45pm. They also have plenty of complimentary parking on site. Overall, good location, comfortable rooms with hot breakfast included, free parking, and attentive staff. They are pet friendly for an extra fee of about $125 per stay. Good hotel for families.

Arrival to Amelia Island was quick and easy. There is beautiful & warming entrance to the Marriott. Checking in was easy and I arrived at a perfect parking spot time. The room was spaced nicely. I was comfortable with the view because it gave me an upper hand on traffic. I enjoyed watching the people on riding scooters and just walking enjoying this beautiful island. I was particularly intrigued by the nature walk right off the parking lot. In case you are a city girl like me, seeing otters, alligator and turtles in their natural habitat. The hotel staff ( breakfast crew, clerks) provided great customer service. It is very beneficial that a shuttle is able to transport you to locations on the island. I was thankful for assistance of Arnold( shuttle driver) for restaurant recommendation and directions. I would advise you to find out the housekeeping schedule. Checked in on Wednesday and as of Saturday housekeeping had not serviced the room. Make sure you catch breakfast in the morning... delicious. Catch me by the pool or by the fire pit at night.

Most Residence Inns are decent hotels that offer kitchenettes, lounging spaces, and sleeping quarters. This one was no different. Having read about recent renovations, I must admit that I expected it to be a little nicer but, for two nights, it was fine. The room was clean enough. My pet peeve is finding other peoples' hair in the bathroom, which unfortunately I saw when we checked in. Otherwise, I had no issues with the room. The breakfast buffet was varied enough that there was plenty to choose from for the two mornings that I was there. The location, a short walk to the beach, was excellent. I stayed here during a holiday weekend and it was understandably busy but the staff was very friendly and patient.

Bathroom was disgusting. Shower looked so gross. Mattress was hella uncomfortable. Wasn't impressed

Yes, this is where I want to stay. A very friendly check-in. A most beautiful property. The place looks better than the photos. Manicured grounds. Beautiful pool, an area with seating right next to the pool. Very nice parking with security walls on the sides and back. Mature palm trees. Air conditioning greets you once you enter the automatic sliding doors. A very well stocked beverage and snack area for purchasing favorites. Lobby is so clean and modern. Plenty of lobby seating. The room was even better. A suite with a king bed in a separate room, a nice bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen with large fridge, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker. For a longer stay, this is the place. Rental bicycles are available. Hot breakfast. About a .4 mile to beach on excellent sidewalks. Close drive to about anything you may need or plenty of restaurants. Bed is really comfortable. Sectional couch, table and plenty of kitchen counter space. I'm home. Dog friendly with a fee.

Really enjoyed our one night stay. Everything you need & more is provided! Friendly & courteous staff, beautiful pool & hot tub, fire pit, fully equipped kitchenette, and wonderful breakfast! The room is spacious and the bed very comfortable. Also nice touches like citrus water in the entry and a bottle of water as you are leaving, along with a free shuttle into town during your stay. We didn't rent bicycles but they were available to rent. We will definitely be back!

The room and bathroom were very spacious and the ceiling was high. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. A continental breakfast was provided every morning. Upstairs, there was an ice machine and Keurig coffee maker which I appreciated as I brought my own K-cups from home. Also, our room had a mini-fridge and freezer combo. This was a plus due to being a gluten-free person and having to bring my own breakfast food and coffee creamer. On Saturday night, a lady named, Shell, performed in The Principal's Office Bar. She was really good and even took requests. My husband and I would definitely stay here again. I do have a few suggestions. Everyday, 4 towels were placed in the bathroom, but only 2 washcloths. I asked twice for 2 more to be put in my room, but that didn't happen. One evening, a sweet bartender grabbed extra washcloths for us. Also, a hand-held sprayer would be nice to have in the shower as the soft water made it hard to remove soap from my body and shampoo and conditioner from my hair. Additionally, the steps on the side of the building near the ramp have metal strips placed on them, and they become very slippery when it rains. When we left one afternoon, it was raining. My husband slipped and fell down the steps. So, maybe a non-slip material could be added to the steps. Lastly, the pool was full of leaves the five days we stayed at the Inn. I never saw anyone do any maintenance to the pool. There were towels out on Saturday for pool use, but none of the other days. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend the Inn to others.

We arrived at the Ritz too late for dinner anywhere but the lobby bar. Enjoyed several sushi rolls with drinks, each one imaginative fresh and tasty. But some event had recently let out and the lobby bar got crowded and LOUD. I mean over 100db loud (measured). That's the equivalent of enjoying sushi while jackhammers are crushing concrete all around you. Whoa! Ocean front one bedroom suite - Plush, large, comfortable. Curtains blocked most light, but the bright morning sun still peeked in around the edges. Comfortable bed and plenty cold for good sleeping. Two huge TVs. While the only premium feed provided is Netflix, the cable box had been lowered behind the TV in the living room such that it was simple to plug in your own device. If this is by design, kudos to the Ritz. If this was accidental, we feel very fortunate. Awesome to have a second half bath, wish that was an option at more hotels. The main bath, very roomy, with a huge dressing area, was a little odd in that, while there was a door to the toilet, there was no door to the tub/shower. Not a big deal, as it was around a corner providing a little privacy, it's still a weak design decision. Huge balcony with ocean front views that go on forever. A few chairs and a table, but a bit under furnished. Still quite a treat for the view, breeze and privacy. Never even slightly tempted to leave the property during our stay. Over a 4 night stay, we visited nearly every bar and restaurant option, and never felt like we were having to "make do". Pool - the kiddie pool was closed for renovations, so children took over the main pool all day. If you're not a tolerant direct parent, you're not gonna get in that water, if you know what I mean. Overall the pool and chairs were pretty crowded, so almost worth the premium to have rented a cabana for 8-2 one day. Lots more room and comfort, both lounge chairs and couch seating, TV, snacks and drinks.
