Let Me T.

I often use Marriott for my out-of-town stays. I couldn't find any hotel that had connecting rooms or suites. Being that this was the only hotel that would accommodate my family of 4, we stayed for 2 nights in a 2-bedroom 2-bathroom suite for a nearby event. First of all, this hotel is extremely outdated. Where should I start? Although there was a full kitchen it was very run down. The drawers won't close completely, the fridge door was damage, and the ice maker didn't work so we had to get ice from downstairs. The couch had 3 tears in it and the pull-out bed was dirty. When removing the cushions, there were popcorn and candy underneath. I called downstairs and they had staff to come and vacuum the couch, and the pull-out bed mattress cover was still there from a previous stay, but they changed it. The bathrooms look like there were fixed up by a handy man off the street. In one of the bathrooms, the shower floor was dirty and there was hair on the floor. In one of the rooms, the bed didn't have a mattress cover on it, it was some type of pad with elastic bands on it to hold it to the mattress. The walls and doors had stains on them, even the ceiling and closet ceiling had stains on them. The AC only cooled off the main room and 1 bedroom. Now, I've been seeing bad reviews about the staff, but I didn't have a problem with staff, they were quite friendly. Would I stay here again, NO, but the location did accommodate us for the event we went to.

Stayed in the 2 bedroom room with grandchildren n my fur baby. I wish there was an upgrade for that . The staff is absolutely great. We needed xtra towels and "thought" we needed maintenance both times they were quick to respond. It's what you expect from Marriott, but don't always get.

The bathroom was tiny. The tub was gross and discolored due to the paint peeling off.

We had no choice but to stay at this hotel (because it is one of the only hotels around that are cat friendly and offer kitchens in their rooms) due to a house fire in which we lost everything and were left homeless. Before we even booked the rooms, we requested a room with a full kitchen, as advertised on their website. Not all rooms have full kitchens, though. We had to change rooms 3 times before the management finally got it right. Then shortly after we got settled into the proper room, we find out that we are being kicked out much earlier than expected, due to management overbooking the hotel by 5 rooms. This is the most stressful, incompetent, and unprofessional hotel that I have ever experienced. The general manager, Tammy Dawson, is extremely unpleasant and she made our stay very uncomfortable. The rooms are mediocre, there are bugs inside, and outside on the hotel building itself. There were no mattress protectors on any of the beds either, which is very unsanitary. The owner should remove "Marriott" from the hotel title, it is barely a 2 star hotel at best. Spare yourself and save your money for a better hotel! This is the worst hotel experience I've ever had throughout countless stays in various hotels throughout the United States. I would never, under any circumstances, recommend this hotel to anyone.

I don't come across many 5 Star hotels, but this one deserves it. The place was spotless, the rooms were well equipped and the staff friendly. The fitness center has cardio as well as weights and they sell local craft beer for $3.00 a can. Wednesday night they even offered ice cream and waffles.

New Marriott property and is a four story hotel. Outdoor pool and hot tub. Other items including basketball court and natural gas fire ring. Meeting rooms are available. WiFi available available and for the most part runs fast. Guests enjoy breakfast and some nights they offer extras. I arrived late to check in and was five minutes later for somores and I ask about could I and in short order I had a plate of three, bottle of water, some popcorn and some pretzels. The hotel must be near some good fishing ramps and spots due to the number of boats parked over night. Will stay here again.

Beware

Same visit - ready to use dishwasher and standing water present. Makes you wonder if our dishes were washed in this!

Absolutely nasty experience. Not only were the rooms not clean but they also didn't supply shampoo and conditioner etc. when I was there. I had to call down to the front desk to get some sent to me. Leading me to believe that room hadn't actually been cleaned. There were hairs on the bathroom floor dust piled in the corner and it looks to be either pasta sauce or blood on the bottom of the bathroom door. The floors hadn't been vacuumed and the bed had a long hair on it. The Manager offered to have someone come out and either clean the spots that were dirty or switch me to another room. This was after I had asked if my room had even been cleaned. A question which was never answered. There was a nice young man who came up to clean some of the dirtier areas, that was very kind and helpful. Overall though the cleaners in the room really grossed me out. I've stayed in some of lower level hotels in my day but this one was completely unacceptable. The furniture was also beat to crap. It looks like someone had thrown it around the room a couple times and then put it back into place. It felt more like a city motel than a Marriott

Second best Hotel in Florence next to the Marriott Hotel & Spa. Solid mid-range business traveler hotel.

This resort hotel has amazing views of the Tennessee River and nearby Wilson dam. From the lobby…read moreto our room it was very well maintained and lovely. One simple but thoughtful gesture was a staff member positioned at the front door who always opened it for you. The rooms have balconies, and I would suggest a higher floor room because you'll have sweeping views of the Tennessee River. The hotel decor definitely pays homage to the music scene that has been long associated with Muscle Shoals area. As we entered our room we were amused by the ceiling light that was a "recording studio in use" sign. On the walls were gold records and other music memorabilia from the area. There are two restaurants/bars on sight. Swampers has live music and typical bar food. We had appetizers there one evening and really enjoyed them. The drink prices were very reasonable. The second restaurant is the 360 Grille. It is atop a revolving tower. The 360 grille is an upscale steakhouse. We did make reservations and eat there also. That was a great decision. On the property is a large swimming complex, complete with a water slide and waterfall. There are numerous pool lounges available as well as a few private cabanas. There was poolside drink and food service on the weekend. The property is near a Robert Trent Jones golf course and I noticed a significant amount of golfers staying at the hotel. A large hallway gallery is located on the main floor. When we stayed it had a huge collection of all things Rolling Stones. Trivia fact- The stones recorded 3 songs in Muscle shoals. All in all it's a great property if you plan to stay a couple or more days- so you can take advantage of all the hotel has to offer. It's not a budget conscious hotel but definitely worth it for the amenities.

Adorable music decor throughout. Turn on the overhead light as you enter your room and it's a "recording - studio in use" sign. Lots of appropriate decor featuring music and the Shoals location, even the nightstand drawer pulls are volume knobs (that go up to 11!) Room can be kept dark and cold, there's a small fridge, and a good bathroom with walk in shower. I thought the bed comfortable, but it hurt the wife's back, so you'll have to decide on that one. We'll definitely be back. It's an easy weekend trip from the Nashville area, and a lot of the drive can be done on the Natchez Trace Parkway, which is a very pleasant and relaxing drive. We didn't take advantage of the pool, but it looks very nicely done. Book yourself a dinner at the 360 grille while you're there. They go a good job, and it's a fun splurge - not a lot of revolving restaurants on towers in that neck of the woods.

Tip 2: if you call the desk after hours, hold on through the message and someone is always on call. I would gladly stay here again in a back corner room. I was in 302, where the view was terrible but the space was excellent for doing a workout between the bed and tv stand. It was quiet. I love the exposed brick and the decor but wonder why there are two gorgeous light fixtures flaming the bed with a switch by the bathroom. That means a reader like me had to relocate the lamp so I wouldn't have to get out of bed to turn out a light. I like that they give you what look like locally made toiletries (lotion, soap and even room spray). They smelled good. Staff were accommodating and checked on our group as guests and when using a meeting room to be sure we were satisfied. And to be right by Big Bad Breakfast and in a lovely walkable downtown made it just right. I didn't know why I'm not compelled to give it 5 stars but I certainly enjoyed being there.

This is in an older retrofitted building and has its idiosyncrasies, but it gives it a lot of charm and character. BBB (Big Bad Breakfast) shares the first floor and is accessible from the lobby.
