I've used their snow shoveling service for years and it was fairly reliable so I decided to start using their lawn service in 2021. They weren't super consistent and there were times I had to email and beg them to come out and do our lawn - unfortunately they never responded to those emails only sited a schedule of "every 10-14 days depending on the month and growth rate". We had a big family field day event and the grass was very high and made the even challenging. I gave them the benefit of the doubt given it was still a COVID environment and understanding they may be short staffed. We decided to give them another chance for 2022 and while we wanted to pre-pay in full for the season instead they made us compete some confusing and unprofessional email form (it looked like a 12 year old in 1999 just discovered Microsoft word) to select our services and then they averaged out our bill and charged us monthly. That was fine albeit not our preference except I started noticing they were charging is twice a month. I emailed them immediately upon noticing the error - in February - to have it corrected but got absolutely no response. I emailed every few weeks asking for a response and then in March discovered they had triple charged us. I continued reaching out weekly but did not get a response until late April where they told me there was no billing issue and I was "up to date". I immediately responded requesting a detailed itemized breakdown of the charges because I did not believe that was accurate. I received no response to that email or the subsequent weekly emails I sent afterwards. Once the season began I noticed they came out to mow one time in April. As May approached our lawn became higher and higher and by the end of May they had still not returned nor had I received any email communications from them. When I called I got a voicemail with no ability to leave a message. I emailed repeatedly requesting they come out within 2-3 days of the email - trying to be fair given the labor shortage - to mow our lawn and sent pictures of the gras. By this point it was up to my knees and I am 5'6. I also requested a call to discuss the billing. All i got was crickets. Ultimately my husband had to borrow a lawnmower from our neighbor and cut the lawn this weekend as it was out of control. I've since learned through an article posted online that they have discontinued all service this year and are refusing to give refunds to their clients and are instead holding the payments to provide vouchers for 2023 services. They claimed in the article that emails were sent to this effect a few weeks ago but I have yet to see anything from them. They have basically stolen the money of 1700+ clients and not given them any recourse or the courtesy of a response nor any proactive communication. I'm a reasonable person and understand the challenges of running a small business in the current environment. I've been beyond patient with them and would have been open to working with them if they'd reached out and communicated that they needed to raise prices or at least offered the option of choosing between a refund or a credit for 2023. As it stands now they've given no communication and we've been left to find alternative means of getting our lawn serviced. Trying to find someone to take over the job in the middle of the season is proving difficult and most likely will be challenging if not impossible. I'm very disappointed and frustrated and will be filing a complaint with BBB and seeking to dispute the charges with my bank. I wish I didn't need to take those steps as I know this has been a difficult time for many but the fact that they've chosen to basically steal from their customers has left me no other alternative. read more

We've had their grass cutting service for years and it started out great. We always pre-pay in January for the year (for them to cut the grass during the months when it doesn't snow). In exchange for our annual payment, they are supposed to come on the honor-system frequently enough that our lawn always looks nice/not overgrown. We have a small townhome with a very tiny yard, and the reason we have a service do it is to save from having to maintain/store a lawn mower on our small property, and because my husband has asthma that flares up when he cuts grass. Anyway, last year it got so high a few times that I had to continually contact them to plead with them to come cut the grass when it got really high. Fast forward to this year...it's May and they haven't been here ONCE to cut our grass yet. It looks AWFUL and I expect that our HOA will fine us soon if we don't get it taken care of quickly at this point...and I wouldn't blame them! I email, I call, I text, and they still don't come. Today I let them know that I'm requesting a refund and want to cancel our agreement. I'm happy for their success if they are too busy, and would be understanding if they said they are simply too short-staffed and needed to cancel the agreement and issue a refund. If I got proactive, courteous communication or explanation instead of waiting and begging them to perform a service I've already paid for, I wouldn't be writing this review. I'm going to report them to the BBB and the Maryland Attorney General if I don't receive my refund for the year in a timely manner, which I'd hate to resort to. I've had hassles from this company ever since signing up for their lawn service in 2018, and it's only gotten worse. They consistently fail to notify me when they are coming to mow. And on the rare time they do notify me, they don't even show up when they say. They leave advertising flyers at my door even though I've been a paying customer. They send payment-due emails and leave notices at my door even though I've pre-paid each season in full. In 2021, they intentionally skipped my lawn claiming that I did not pay. I had to talk to them 3 times until they finally fixed their mistake. Their website has been consistently terrible. At one point, they attempted to collect my credit card info in an unsecured form, not to mention my confusion when I saw the form replicated multiple times on that page. I'm consistently shocked at the unprofessional responses I get from Amy, in particular. Be prepared to be insulted and ignored. Unfortunately, most of your emails from them will include giant fonts that make it hard to read on a phone screen. It's just like 1995's ugly websites all over again. They have a new crew this year, but it's been worse than ever. On May 11th, they sent an email trying to make us feel better by saying they've cut 35% of their customer base, implying they'd give better service to the rest of us. They said "after this service, you will start to see a huge difference in timing between service calls". They claimed they would mow my lawn by the end of that week. They still haven't come. I laughed at their email, unsurprised. They're basically advertising their inability to run their business effectively. I already knew this was the case. It's been over 5 weeks since my lawn was mowed. I call and nobody answers. The answering machine message rattles off a bunch of community names that will allegedly be mowed over the next several days. My community isn't even mentioned. This is the response I received from their customer service email account after questioning when they would be back out to my house. I move into a house that had already paid for the service, so while I technically hadn't paid them directly, it was a service provided when I bought the house. In my inquiry to them I specifically stated that it had been 3 weeks since they were last at our neighborhood and our yards look awful. You get what you pay for. The service provided is on level with the cost. They do a good job for the fees they charge. It's not perfect but it's adequate. Sure, sometimes I have to go out and catch a missed spot or fix some little area but for $10 my yard is 90% good. I have an end unit rowhouse so our yard is twice the size of interior homes. They still give me the same pricing. It always makes me laugh when people look for the cheapest, rock bottom, lowest price and then complain that it isn't spectacular. Emails were sent our for special deals covering a 3-year period paying up front. The first two years were great. This year the lawn was cut once on Easter Monday. There has been no response from numerous calls and emails. I sent a text about fraudulent service and not honoring their contract... CRICKETS... I don't know what happened to this once really good lawn cutting service, but they have imploded and wouldn't recommend them to take out the trash... Never show up when they say they're going to. The woman is belligerent and unprofessional. Had to chase her down last year to pay my invoice since they forget to bill monthly all the time. Then she had the audacity to say my payments were declined and that's why they didn't show up. They'll say they're coming on a Thursday, but show up a week late. They woke me so I called them and left a voicemail complaining about this and also mentioned the very negative reviews I saw online. In response I got the following very unprofessional text from whom I assumed was the owner: u Sound ridiculous. And you wasted your time. We feel sorry for people that live their lives based on internet reviews. Stupid world we live in where anyone can run and complain without any repercussions. This is an unreliable lawn service. They will not come to cut your lawn as contracted for and if they finally show up the job is horrible. They will email you back if you call or email them to cut the lawn and say they will be at your home the next day but they never come. They dont clean up the clippings. They're a waste of your money. After promising in their brochure to come out every 10-12 days (or every 7-9 days in the "cooler months") to mow my townhouse, they have arrived a total of 8 times since the March 11 for an average of 13.7 days between visits. Their last visit was 18 days ago with no sign of them ever showing up again. I didn't mind the extra charges (fuel costs, trip charge) because the overall price of $11.46 per visit (based on 24 visits per mowing season) was very affordable. The advertised price is $240 per mowing season (24 visits @ $10 / visit), but the actual cost was $275 when you add in the extra charges (24 visits @ $11.458 / visit). However, the old saying of "if it seems too good to be true..." is very applicable to this situation. My advice is to steer clear for now. Maybe after the pandemic is over they might be worth looking into again, but maybe that's hope getting in the way of reality. read more

Our neighbor has been using this company so my husband and I figured why not go with them. Something told me I shouldn't engage and now I know why. We called them and were greeted by a very interesting voicemail. Not the most professional but it was endearing. Essentially it said the best way to reach them was by texting the same number so I did. I didn't get a response back so I reached out again the next day and they responded with all the necessary information. I paid them for the season via Venmo on Tuesday and didn't hear back from them by Friday, so I reached out and asked when we would be serviced. They said either that day or by the next morning at the latest. By Monday, no one had arrived or messaged us to apologize or give an update. I told them we'd like a refund and to please initiate it themselves rather than us having to go to Venmo - no response. The next day I told them I reported it to Venmo and they said "Thank you." I then asked if they really weren't going to initiate the refund and they asked why I would even want a refund O__x Anyhow, don't bother with this company, totally not worth the headache. read more

I cancelled my services due to communication and decrease in services. They no longer came when they were supposed to and stopped cleaning up at all after. HORRIBLE!!! We have watched them cut our neighbors yard for the past three years. This year we got the flyer from her and decided to hire them because our yard and her yard are right next to each other with a four or 5 foot causeway in the center. Previous years, there work was not this shabby or else we just weren't paying much attention. Anyways, every time they come-- which is whenever they feel like it and very rarely-- we have to call them back to do areas that they missed. Three times they've skipped doing the causeway, even though it literally is about 4 feet between my neighbor and our yard so why wouldn't they just cut it; like they did the first two times they have come?!?! They have literally ripped up our fire pit cover and our kayak covers (both of which were out of the way)with the weed whacker. They have left a huge hole in my sons soccer goal net from the weed whacker; yet again. They do not edge; instead they use the weed whacker. They make about a foot of uneven and not straight type of "trimming". My entire front yard is directly in the sun but our yard is completely DEAD because of the height they cut the yard; which is the lowest one--that way they don't have to come back so often... All in all--the year just looks terrible and I do NOT recommend them to anyone else. When you call for any reason-- you rarely get a call back. You just have to wait for them to come back and hopefully catch them at 7:00am on a Saturday (which has happened).. I just personally don't feel they are professional at all. There guys are just "not thinking or there mentally" when mowing the lawn. Our neighbor Who has used them for forever Is SUPER DISAPPOINTED in the service and can't believe just how awful of a job they have been doing. I can't tell you how disappointed and absolutely aggravated I am over the lack of service I have received from this company this year. I have used them since 2017 and, while not the best lawn company in the world, they were fine for the price. NOT THIS YEAR! You prepay for their services and are supposed to have your grass cut 24 times during the season. It is now September and I believe they have been here 5 times. If you call their number, their voicemail basically says you can't reach them, they won't respond, to use the same number to text. So, when they didn't show up for more than 2 weeks, I texted and texted and texted until someone finally responded that they'd be here the next morning...and then were not. Most recently, no one has shown up for more than 3 weeks, and they have been completely unresponsive to my texts. My lawn would literally take 15 minutes to mow AND trim, and the only reason I haven't done it myself is because I don't have a space for stowing the equipment. I finally gave up and tried another company, which was also an epic fail (I will write a separate review of them). My grass is now a foot high and, to keep my home from looking like trash and my neighbors from thinking I've given up caring for my property, I have now purchased the equipment and will just have to figure out where I'm going to put it. I did purchase battery-powered equipment so that should help. I sent them a notice that I was canceling my service and would like at least 50% of my money returned. I haven't heard one word from them, doubt I will, and now I'm out the money I paid them PLUS the money I've had to spend to buy equipment. If you are considering using this service, I wouldn't.
