A rare gem arrived in Corte Madera The spa has a phenomenal mix of services and an emphasis on natural and organic products. I had my first cupping treatment at Resonance and I am a convert. I carry all my tension in my shoulders, which makes them as hard as rocks. One short treatment and they were as relaxed as if I'd spent a week on the beach. I appreciate their emphasis on overall wellness as opposed to one day of being treated like a princess. Spend some time in their sound therapy room with an acupuncture treatment, it's such a rejuvenating experience that it's difficult to explain. The staff is both knowledgeable and nurturing. I was a long time and frequent Stellar Spa customer, and was sad when it abruptly closed. Happy that a new spa moved in, and knew I had to try it. The Corte Madera location is very central, and there is a big parking lot right across the street. I had an "Ageless Facial," which was pampering and soothing, everything that I asked for. I liked the extra touches, like the heated eye pads. The facial bed was extremely comfortable, but I didn't notice anything different about the "sound therapy" bed as was touted. $150 for a facial is a bit steep, but I'm sure the rent is steep too. The remodel was not to my taste. Very Vegas with black tile and neon lighting. I prefer a calming, zen-like atmosphere. Spa water and tea were provided, but I missed the mixed nuts and fruit that Stellar served. Really missed the magazines in the waiting room too. The staff I encountered were very professional, and I would have no issue with recommending this establishment for a facial, massage, etc. read more

Incredibly beautiful, peaceful and well-appointed spa with a myriad of excellent treatments and skilled practitioners. They have cutting edge treatments, such as hydrofacials, acupuncture facials and an infrared sauna (much more comfortable than the average sauna) and an immersion lounge. I experienced the "sound table" and acupressure in the immersion lounge, an all-senses experience that left me more relaxed and more peaceful than when I walked in. The spa has clearly been created with a tremendous amount of care, which can be seen in even the smallest details. The cork floors, aside from being comfortable, create a quiet environment. The decor is is well done, and adds to the overall healing energy of this spa. The product lines are extremely high quality; the rose serum alone is unlike anything I've ever experienced in a skincare line. The thing I most like about Resonance Spa is its blend of cutting edge technology and good old fashioned healing practices. I've purchased a series of six 60-minute treatments and will add to my review once I've tried everything at this spa. Unless I'm too relaxed - then you're on your own. read more

She spent so much time perfecting each step, each massage move was heaven and I felt like a little baby wrapped in a warm blanket. Absolutely worth a visit! I stumbled upon this place while searching for a nearby urban hot springs and it was a pleasant surprise. I tried the Meridian Acupuncture which focuses on your face. Although the actual time and number of needles felt light and no more than 10 minutes...you still do feel a difference in your skin. At first, I was nervous because the description read full face and body of needles. It was not the case though. (10-12 around my face and head and only 4 needles on the body)...and stays on for just a short time. Felt like 10 minutes. Much of the hour is spent on cleaning and preparing the skin. There are other things like cupping, LED and oxygen which seems great but, I honestly prefer more time for the acupuncture. I do want to mention that the acupuncturist does it all. Facial, light massage and etc. With that said, you will notice that they may not be experts when deep tissue massaging or deep cleansing (exfoliating). I found that part a little on the weak side. Overall though, I was there for the acupuncture so did not mind it too much. The needle time though needs to be extended, if that is even possible. I rather benefit from the accu. Going back for a second try. Now that I have tried it once, I will know what to ask for. We'll see how the next session goes. Oh, and it is definitely on the pricey side but, if it works...it is actually cheap for what it offers and worth every penny. read more

I cannot possibly speak highly enough about Resonance Spa and Wellness- for so many reasons. The center was my one and only "outing" for my health/sanity during Covid because I had a newborn and severely immune compromised parents but it always felt so safe and extremely clean- not to mention the massages are the best I have ever had (saying a lot as I am a massage therapist myself!) and the facial was incredibly relaxing and beneficial! On a more personal note, I have been seeing the owner, Gia, for acupuncture throughout two miscarriages and finally a healthy pregnancy and to say she was my saving grace is an understatement. Her multilevel therapeutic approach got me through the most challenging time of my life and I am eternally grateful for her services but also who she is as the most real, compassionate and understanding therapist! What I really appreciated about Resonance was the level of mastery in different crafts, all in one place. In one visit, I was able to meet with a chiropractor, 2 acupuncture gurus, 2-3 skin and beauty experts utilizing the latest technology and the finest, local products, massage therapists, a cupping practitioner, an herbalist, and a cosmetics champion. One hour in this location made me feel like I was on vacation for a week in Maui. Also, don't underestimate the state of the art thermal sauna and sensory deprivation room. I have been in to couple places in Marin County and so far Resonance Spa & Wellness in my number one choice! Because it's different! Beautiful interior and light design in the waiting room make it more relaxing. Lovely smiling staff, full of knowledge about how to take care of you and your skin in the other reason to make you feel special. I don't wanna go to room by room, cuz it takes for ever. I tried facial acupuncture, facial hydration, sound therapy, hand therapy, cupping and... almost everything. They have a lot of new methods to improve the skin health, nutrition, relaxation and.... you also can find a lit of supplements and products and some make up stuff which are all natural and healthy. I came here with my husband when they had their open house and liked the space and the folks working the event but wanted the chance to really try their services before I wrote a review. Now, after two massages with cupping I can definitively say that this place is a truly wonderful urban oasis that I hope to continue to frequent, though the prices will certainly limit that ability! First, the decor: when you walk into Resonance the front area is open and airy, mostly white, with an interesting art installation of trees behind the front "desk" area that give you the feel of being in a sort of spa/modern art exhibit. The folks that greet you are always kind, genuinely smiley, and talkative. I so appreciate a genuinely nice greeting, it sets the tone for the rest of your visit. Happily, once you walk past the desk and into the "inner sanctum" the airiness gives way to beautiful, deeply jewel toned rooms with soft, warm lighting. The jewel tones are a welcome departure from the ubiquitousness of earth tones in spas and the mood is both relaxing and luxe. I would love to do my own bathroom in that stunning deep blue coin tile they have in the women's changing room. The communal Acupuncture room is particularly special and a must do in my book. I also love the tea they provide in the cushy waiting room - better than most of the name brand stuff you find at spas these days. On to the service. I have now had two massages, once with cupping, from Livinia, who is nothing short of a miracle worker. Each time I saw her, Livinia identified the issues I was having right away and worked her magic using multiple modalities and even discussing a few things I might try to help hydrate my muscles a bit better. When I get off of Livinia's massage table, I feel rejuvenated and pain free for months!! And the massage table! I would be remiss if I didn't mention how amazing these are. The massage tables at Resonance utilize sound therapy to aid in your relaxation and ever so gently vibrate as you lay on them. Trust me when I tell you: just the table itself is divine. But truly, Livinia, with or without a vibrating table, is one of the best massage therapists I have ever had and I have been to massage therapists the world over. I sent my Dad to Livinia when he aggravated his lower back in yoga and thanks to her help, he is now recovering nicely. Ok, I've waxed poetic, but I do have some gripes: (1) the hot water pourer for the tea in the waiting room is awful, the water doesn't come out and then it comes out too fast which means I invariably pour water all over the counter each time I make tea, which leads me to my next gripe, (2) they really need a trash can next to the tea area in the waiting room for the napkins I use to mop up all the water I spill every time I make tea, (3) I wish the locker rooms had saunas or steam showers for spa goers to use. I love using the sauna when I visit a spa and am a bit miffed that at Resonance I would have to pay extra for the privilege of using their separate sauna, (4) the lockers in the locker rooms are not easy to use because the locks themselves are pretty shoddy, the keys either don't fit well or fall out before you can lock the darn thing, and (5) the amenities in the locker rooms are not well maintained, both times I have been there they only had a single brush out and, both times it had been used. I would just not use a stranger's comb. But, as you can see from my rating, these gripes are outweighed by the wonderful parts of Resonance. I hope they continue to offer a high caliber of service so I can keep coming back!! read more

An incredible spa. The space is very well done with regards to the lighting, layout, and decor, creating a very relaxing and welcoming ambiance. I've been to a handful of day spas and they are all nice but fairly generic and lacking any warmth and personality. Resonance sets itself apart with its attention to detail; the cork flooring, the unique art, the lighting, the room colors, the little tasty treats in the relaxation room (nuts and chocolates), the heated towel rack that you can hang your complimentary robe on during your massage. The staff was very attentive, professional and cream of the crop. I was impressed with how they incorporated aroma therapy, tuning forks and sound therapy massage tables for a very unique experience. It was nothing short of fantastic. Also don't forget to try the infrared sauna - a perfect compliment to a massage or facial. The one disappointing thing is that the sauna isn't a complimentary amenity with a treatment but it was worth adding on.
