I like Angie's, very friendly, they offer bottled water, and it's clean here, very, very clean. With all the great reviews, I really wanted to give the place 4 or 5 stars. I made a reservation for 1 hour full body massage so it was weird that I felt a bit rushed when undressing, the masseuse opened the door when I said "not yet" and by instinct, covered myself and felt embarrassed (well I did take a minute taking the pictures). She came back when I was trying to figure the drape situation so I had to keep saying, "not yet..not yet!" When she started, it felt like she was rushing and the flow was off and on. I liked that she seemed to feel where it bothered me most like back of neck and certain parts of my lower back, so she worked on those parts more. I couldn't relax fully because in addition to the inconsistent flow, she went in and out 3 times and answered to someone outside while massaging me so I kept getting distracted. When I was on my back and she put my leg on her lap, I felt uncomfortable thinking the drape was going to fall out of place because she massaged my inner thigh and kept going near my area down there. I may try again because there are good reviews regarding their reflexology. Maybe do an hour and a half massage so there's no rushing? read more

I had the worst foot massage of my life. The lady was so annoying I wanted her to stop after 5 minutes but I didn't want to embarrass my companions. She didn't give a hoot about me or even TRY to do a good massage. In fact I was getting and Indian burn (pardon) and had to ask her to stop rubbing my calves. It was awful. Do not go here it was just weird. Also, I told Anjie that my massage was horrible and she didn't really car or offer me anything. Anjie - her technique wouldn't match anybody. Her energy and flow and demeanor were horrible and would not be a nice service for 99% of the people. And I'm fact that I told you how bad it was, you didn't even offer me any discount. I really used to go to this place for massages but my last experience was horrible. In the middle of the massage, the phone rings and she answers it inside the room, stopping to massage. Well, I thought it would be something important, but from then on she answer the phone 2 more times , there were three conversations in the middle of the massage, making her stop the massage inside the room. she came out twice at the entrance to receive people. It really seemed to me a lack of respect and professionalism. At the time of paying and giving the tip, I did not leave what I normally leave for this reason and she complain that because i did not leave the tip, her attitude seemed very bad to me. My first massages were real, this time she only dreamed of my body, it was not a massage at all, she was worried for the phone and the sound of the door, everything was running. My husband and I were out in Petaluma for a quick weekend getaway and I found this place on Yelp. We quickly made same day plans to treat ourselves. Angie and Anna, who are sisters) were so good. Usually places like this usually have a lot of chatter and noise going on among the massage therapists and there's not much you can do because you get what you're pay for. Not here!! You get more than what you pay for, at $30 for one full hour you get a full massage which clothes on of course. It was much needed and we picked the last slot of the day, which I always prefer for massages. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. The customer service here is great. Extremely unhappy customer here. I called and made a reservation for my wife's first Mother's day and my mother-in-law two weeks in advance. I wanted to ensure that I secured a spot on what I expected to be a VERY busy day for spas. I confirmed the appointment details 3 TIMES on the phone and added it to the calendar. When my wife and mother-in-law arrived on the day of, they told her they didn't have the appointment scheduled and accused them of not actually making it. My chiropractor recommended this place. It's kind of a risky recommendation because this place is so good that I'd rather spend the money here for a full massage than 5 minutes at the chiropractor! I went here for the first time today and was impressed by the masseuse's skill. I said I wanted work done on my shoulders and lower back. He focused on those areas - releasing tension around the joints - and still managed to massage the rest of my body. The stretches were intense but he always checked in to make sure I was ok. I've been to spas that charge 3 times as much and are nowhere near as good. This would be a great stop on a nice trip to downtown Novato. read more

I'm not the kind of person that loves massages. I often find them painful and have a tough time relaxing through it. That being said, my husband and I decided to give this place a try. Upon entering we were greeted by a friendly gentleman and his young daughter. She was polite and offered me water and was happy to assist me in operating the lounge chair. I decided on the 30min foot/30min body massage. Angie began with the head, neck, shoulders, arms and finally the feet. This by no means was a gentle massage however I found it to be very relaxing. Once she was done I was escorted to a private room for a full body massage. I made it clear that I wanted a gentler touch and although she used a firm hand it was in no way painful or unpleasant. Brutally rubbed my skin without oil first half, then used oil for second half of lackluster almost no pressure massage. Both Angie and Anna are amazing therapeutic body workers who truly care about the work they are doing and the business they are starting from the ground up. Anna is particularly great at very strong, deep massage work, and she puts her all into each session. One note: Anna's English language knowledge is not comprehensive (yet) so if you seek a therapist where you can give more nuanced feedback, ask for Angie. I've probably seen each of them at least a dozen times and they are always very present. I'm surprised that I didn't have a good experience after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, my massage therapist seemed rather distracted, rushed, and preoccupied. She had really good, strong pressure, but she moved directions too quickly and I was concerned she was going to hurt me. There didn't seem to be any methodology to her massage, it felt random and chaotic. Her energy was pretty frantic. She was also on her phone texting during the massage. Then, when we went into the back room, her full body pressure was way too uneven in my back, again leaving me concerned she was going to hurt me. She was not carful with the drapery, got way too close for comfort, and used my body to leverage herself up multiple times. She was not careful with me. Lastly, she oiled me up at yet very last minute and then didn't properly take it off with the hot towel, leaving me dripping in oil. Although I tipped out of courtesy, I will not be back. read more

Have you ever heard of the saying "A Diamond in the Rough" or "Don't Judge a Book by it's Cover"? This place is both - Angie is a miracle worker and the magic massage she gives is amazing! They are located on a first floor of a drab office building type setting and don't have much in a way of signage outside or decor to advertise their location. Thus one might judge the business by it's lack of marketing techniques to get you to notice them. They just opened and are still setting up so maybe it's about giving it some time to develop. Once inside the place is VERY clean and has a very nice ambiance. I asked Angie for a 60 minute body (she offers 30 min too) and foot massage combo with oil. I wore lose clothing as the massage was with clothes on. It seems that she speaks little English but knows what you want when you ask and she is extremely pleasant. I have travelled to Asia including China and I have had many spa massages while traveling. Her technique is some of the best I have ever had. She is strong, (but is very open to lighter massage as well) and her knowledge of the body is profoundly well tuned in. I've gotten a foot massage too and that is wonderful just by itself. Her scalp massage is incredible and feels healing! You can tell it is her passion and has learned from the best of teachers in the Chinese technique of massage. Her prices are very reasonable and worth every dollar spent. You will not be disappointed! She is open 7 days a week. So she works very hard and deserves much success in her new business. I have lived in Novato for 25 years and seen Novato go downhill in the past 8-10 years.
