Over…read morethe years, I've regularly filled up my tank, shopped in the store, and enjoyed their sandwiches and baked goods. However, today's experience left me disappointed. After spending $75 on gas, I went inside to pay and asked if I could have a small plastic cup. I was surprised when I was told it would cost 40 cents. It may seem like a small thing, but after years of being a customer and making regular purchases, it felt unnecessarily petty. I decided that 40 cents will be the last I spend at Pine Cone Travel Plaza. I expected better customer appreciation after a decade of loyalty. (Written on behalf of my husband, Paul.)

#40-2021 opened Black Friday 2020 this Kwik Trip travel…read morecenter directly across from the Johnson Creek outlet Malls and the conveniently located right off of Interstate 94 in Wisconsin State on route 26 is one of the full service Kwik Trips that are coming around called travel center with amenities for cars and big trucks. there is lots of parking for trucks there's a scale there's also a little driver's area back where the laundry in the showers are where you can watch some TV a couple of chairs and kick back for a while. like all the other Kwik Trip's when it comes to car amenities it's like any other KwikTrip convenience store: it's got beer cave, fresh food, hot food, perishables, coffee, shopping carts, for walking around all kinds of stuff that all the other Kwik Trips have. I found just over 90 days since opening very clean bathrooms very nice employees. it's got the car wash. pretty much everything you have at your other Kwik trips I found here as I mentioned though not only does it have the diesel pumps but it also has more of a truck stop travel center amenities. there's a nice sitting area many many outdoor tables at this one where you can enjoy your food outside if you choose and watch the traffic whiz by heading north or south from Watertown Wisconsin just about a quarter mile off of Interstate 94.

I had seen the variety at a couple other gas stations during our Wisconsin visit, but figured I could pick some up at the brewery. On a whim, on the way out of Madison, I figured why not make one stop and if they have it, great! If not...oh well. But joy of joys!! They had one four-pack of New Glarus Raspberry Tart left out on the shelves! And you can bet your butt I swiped it up in a heartbeat! Aside from having the thing I wanted (but wasn't sure if they'd have), the employees were friendly! The people driving in and out of the gas pumps and parking spots could be a little more aware of their surroundings and be considerate to people trying to leave, not blocking them with their huge trucks and boat trailers....but aside from that, it was a successful convenience store/gas station stop!

It still doesn't work. I go back inside and he says to move to the car side to pump 1 or 2 then I can use the card. By this time I'm thinking the cashier is a self entitled jerk. Everything from food to gas to gifts are covered here with a fairly nice selection for everything. This is particularly true of coffee and other beverage options which cover everything from frozen drinks to an impressive amount of flavored coffees. For goods like chips, soda, beef jerky, etc. there's also a better than average selection at fairly reasonable prices. I also like how the gas pumps were pretty good here and there was plenty of spacing between each station. With several options for filling up gas off the highway, the size and setup of this Travel Center makes it one of my preferred options.

Unfortunately after all of the questions, I had to see the cashier, leave my driver's license and credit card while I refuels. I did not think I was in Gary, IN but it sure felt like it at this station. The station was very understaffed, only one at the counter tending to 6 customers. Each trucker has to go through a long winded process before they can go back and refuel. It seemed so inefficient. While I had not needed a restroom break, 30 minutes in, I best just make a stop as well. Wasting 30 minutes at a simple refueling stop is such a waste of time, considering my journey was a 2.5 hour run. Imagine every stop on a 10 hour trip! There might be a better option along the way. Might feel safer too. Glad I did not stop here in the evening I think it'll get sketchier when the sun is down.

On a road trip and our poor dog got sick on her bed (from both ends). I was getting ready to throw the bed in the garbage when my husband came out from the plaza and said they had a washer and dryer inside. He took the bed in while I finished cleaning and 90 minutes and $2.50 later her bed was as good as new. They also have a McDonald's in this plaza so I was able to get my dog a burger patty before leaving and she slowly ate it through the evening. She felt better the next day and I have no clue what happened but this plaza had gas, food, bathrooms (ok so they weren't the best) and I even saw showersni side. I noticed lots of trucks parking in the back as well, so I think they allow truckers to spend the night which is nice.

The pizza's crust was thin and had plenty of pepperoni. It was better than most gas station pizzas. Gas prices are usually on par with other gas stations in the area and you can always find a parking spot if you're going to the store.

Gas costs more here than the place two doors down…read more Playing the corporate cash grab so you have to see cashier (past all sorts of things for sale!) to pump gas. You cannot pay at the pump. Cashier played the game of which pump is yours. The only one with a car in the middle of the.day. Nope, it had to be a number. Since I had to go back to my car anyways, it was quicker and cheaper to get gas next door.
