Shout out and thanks to the female clerk who immediately refilled the half-n-half on 2/16 @ circa 15:30 (Love's, 9650 S. 28th St). I know it's "their job" but she was just so dam* pleasant and nice about it. I mean, she was on my request IMMEDIATELY! Like, no issue, "gotcha' covered! I'm here for ya'!". The restrooms were clean, shelves well stocked, and staff super friendly. When my cc didn't go through her colleague was only to happy to help me. Yes, I am old and the chance of user-error simply cannot be discounted, upside down, wrong way etc! :--) Love's is always my go-to gas station for re-fills and this store simply confirms how great the chain is. My husband and I went to this Love's Travel Stop to gas up on a road trip. We pulled up to the pump and filled up our tank without any problems. After that, we went inside to get some coffee. They have a wide variety of flavors and options. I highly recommend Love's Travel Stop! read more

The bathrooms were the dirtiest I've seen in a long time. There waa urine on the seats. This would include the stalls in the Attached Dennys Restaruant also. The staff were not happy to be at work for sure. The only thing they did was stand around and stare at everyone as if they suspected everyone to be a thief. Horrible experience. read more

#49/2024 This is a fairly decent love definitely above average here at Milwaukee. They took over the flying J many years back one thing has been really consistent about here although the parking lot is tight it's an older place they keep up really well. The bathrooms are usually very clean the shower area is kept really good there's a fairly comfortable TV room for drivers lounge. They got a good stock rotated fresh product one thing I noticed they do a really good job of the roller grill and all the other stuff keeping sure everything is done well good management good staff. It's like any other love they do sell beer here there is a shop for trucks. I'm thinking in this area it may become one of my more frequent places to stay if I get there early enough and get a decent parking place. Keep up the good work on this one read more

Date of visit: 8/15/22 I realize that giving a gas station five stars without them offering free car washes or attendant service must seem crazy, but I really have no complaints about my recent visit to Love's. When both of the Kwik Trip locations and the next door Pilot station were 20 cents per gallon higher than the Love's this was a no-brainer. I was able to get in and out of the parking lot without fuss, and the pumps were fast and accurate. Even got my receipt to scan for Fetch Rewards with one touch of a button. I do wish their sign was a bit easier to see from the highway, as I suspect their price is better than the competition fairly often--it's just hard to see that from I-94! read more

This a very good, clean, gas station, mini-mart, truck stop and Denny's. The pumps were clean with bright, easily readable screens and had windshield cleaner and truck- length squeegees. The store was very well-stocked and there were showers and a lounge for truckers. Excellent place for a senior traveler like me to stop for gas and a break. read more

I-94 construction is making me tour all the petrol stations between the Illinois border and my house in Milwaukee. This is a big truck stop/travel oasis with lots of gas pumps, friendly efficient cashiers, a wide variety of mostly unhealthy snacks and drinks, fresh cheap coffee, and kitschy souvenirs. Fuel prices are usually good, restrooms usually clean. read more

I called the day before trying to get a appointment for a DOT inspection and oil change on commercial vehicle. I was told come tomorrow at 7 AM. first come first served basis. I get there about 6:30 AM first person in line. I was told there would be about a three hour wait. There were no vehicles in the garage at this time. I was told we'll call you 30 min in advance to pull vehicle in garage. Never received a call. Called about 1pm to check was told it'll be about 3pm. 3pm still no call. A waste of my time. Well my fiancé and I on a Saturday after Kareoke were fairly disappointed in being turned down from a Webb's because of a colored man who works for a dick employer anyways (I know I worked for him) well that night broght us to Loves which Loves just so happened to be one/ open and 2 the most juiciest fattest jumbo dogs around at 3 in the am during Covid you know the government doesn't allow us any playtime anymore since restaurants aren't 24/7 any more due to the so called disease but anywho we had the most awesome jumbos on the planet so far and ate like kings and queens... they had a Denny's attached which apparently closed due to this fake virus but they had a b-room Had enjoyable time... place used to be the flying J attached to an amazing Buffett I miss that Buffett more than gods green earth and hated they'd planted a dennys in there thanks Love for proving u weren't entirely useless! read more

The loves is the only other truckstop that's as good as the Pilot or Flying J they always have lots of parking. their facilities are very clean and maintained and so is there food area. The staff was very helpful and pleasant apart from that you can find a lot of different souvenirs and refreshments read more

Friendly folk inside. No hot sandwiches only hot dogs and other things you can only get on a hot dog roller cooker.

Has everything you need, clothes etc too. And Dennys Rest. is attached.. Great place to stop when traveling.
