Outside of market and Denny's.
Howard S.

This a very good, clean, gas station, mini-mart, truck stop and Denny's. The pumps were clean with bright, easily readable screens and had windshield cleaner and truck- length squeegees. The store was very well-stocked and there were showers and a lounge for truckers. Excellent place for a senior traveler like me to stop for gas and a break.

Love's travel plaza has been a frequent stop of mine whenever I'm leaving Wisconsin. I can usually assume that the price for gas will be relatively cheap, I'm usually right about that.

On a college football season Saturday, in the truck driver lounge a handful of men's men were watching a soap opera.

Friendly folk inside. No hot sandwiches only hot dogs and other things you can only get on a hot dog roller cooker.

Glazer Doughnut with Chocolate Drizzle: Kwik Trip is a convenience store/gas station chain located…read moreprimarily in the upper Mid-West. It was founded in 1965 in my home state of WI, specifically, Eau Claire (have fun pronouncing that all you non-Wisconsinites). It wasn't until 2003 that Kwik Trip introduced their Glazer Doughnuts. I couldn't find a lot of info on Glazers, but they appear to simply be the Kwik Trip version of a glazed doughnut. The Glazer that I got my hands on is a yeast/raised doughnut, covered in a sweet glaze, and has a chocolate drizzle on top. There's a pale/whitish appearance to the doughnut since the layer of glaze is so thick. With an appearance like that it reminded me a bit of a zebra or oddly enough, the Warboys from Mad Max. My glazer was satisfyingly sweet, and the chocolate drizzle was a nice touch as it was not simply for aesthetics, but did add some milk chocolate flavor. Warming it in the microwave for a few seconds elevated it to near Krispy Kreme status (aka perfection). Even though it's an ersatz Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnut (to be fair, all other glazed doughnuts in my experience are), Kwik Trip's version is still tasty enough to be Doughboy approved My top doughnut shops: 1. Donut Bar (San Diego) 2. Pinkbox Doughnuts (Las Vegas) 3. Everglazed (Disney Springs) 4. Cranky Al's (MKE) 5. Krispy Kreme (various locations in different states) doughboy_food_reviews

Great gas prices? Clean pumps and good variety in their convenience store. Only draw back was that…read moreabout 5 pumps were out of service. There were plenty of pumps though. Fast on and off the expressway!

I can't believe I'm reviewing a gas station! But a few things makes this place stand out…read more 1) Friendly staff 2) Really good car wash that actually cleans your car well 3) Free air for your tires 4) Good selection of food/groceries for those on the go 5) Competitive fuel prices. So, after working in the yard all day decided to repeat the 8 pc chicken. Staff here is great, store and restrooms always clean and I have eaten maybe to many lunches off the hot bar. Food is always pretty good for gas station food. This chicken was no where as good as the last time which was hot from fryer. This had been previously made and I believe sat in a warming oven on a flat surface in oil. There was a lot of oil in bottom of box and all chicken parts were soggy that were on the bottom. Instead of crispy, soggy with oil. Needs to be put on a wire rack after frying. Disappointed but will most likely give them another chance with the chicken sometime or just buy from the hot bar. Was thinking pre ordering would be made to order. First time ordered one hour before pick up. This time 5 hours before pick up. EGGS $0.99 this week

Long John with Snow White Icing and Sprinkles: Kwik Trip is a convenience store/gas station chain…read morelocated primarily in the upper Mid-West. It was founded in 1965 in my home state of WI, specifically, Eau Claire (have fun pronouncing that all you non-Wisconsinites). A Long John is a yeast/raised doughnut that is typically iced and sometimes filled with custard, cream, or some other filling. The term is primarily utilized in the Midwest, Texas, and Canada. Other parts of the U.S. refer to Long Johns as Bar Doughnuts, Finger Doughnut, or Cream Stick (that one sounds kind of dirty). The variety I have from Kwik Trip has vanilla icing and a paltry amount of sprinkles. This was an average doughnut in every way. My biggest complaints are it clearly needs more sprinkles and personally, I feel the icing could also have been more copious to cover more of the surface area. Just okay. Boss brought these in as a Friday treat. My top doughnut shops: 1. Donut Bar (San Diego) 2. Pinkbox Doughnuts (Las Vegas) 3. Everglazed (Disney Springs) 4. Cranky Al's (MKE) 5.
