As soon as I saw the signs for "rest stop ahead" I literally gunned it to the exit ramp to get in here at full speed. Pulling in, there's plenty of car and truck parking, and a HUGE grass area for whatever you may need. Dog who need to run for a moment or two, picnic tables for eating, plenty of shade if you need to sit outside for a while, etc. It was actually kind of relaxing to look at for the few minutes I was there and I enjoyed my time here. The building itself is literally a men's and women's bathrooms with a very small entrance area and benches. The facilities are clean, well stocked and there's about 5 stalls in the women's bathroom. While not the biggest or baddest rest stop I've ever been too, it was a nice stop none the less. Easy on and off the expressway, clean and plenty of room in the beautiful grassy area to do what you need to do.

They have push button air dryers for your hands, no paper towel. Cuts down on waste and messes in the bathroom. There is a small picnic shelter to have your lunch or snacks. Lots of walking space to stretch your legs or let your pets run and do their business. Please pick up after your pets though. It's quick off and right back on I-75 South. We only lost 12 minutes, not bad for 7 people.

Bathrooms were reasonably clean, completely stocked and there was no trash in the parking lot. The far end of the lot was in the shade and after I long day of exploring Columbus, a thirty minute nap worked out really well. There are separate structures for the vending machines and the bathrooms. The rest area is not staffed though I'm sure it's regularly patrolled by the state police, or at least I hope that it is. It seemed a little secluded and unattended and silent and quiet. Spooky even. There was not much going on and I didn't notice any places to eat or drink anything. Just some vending machines and some toilets and not somewhere that I would sleep for the night, and this is coming from someone that has slept on the streets of Queens one too many times. Having said that it's better than falling asleep at the wheel so I won't give it the lowest rating.

I was getting tired of seeing so many decommissioned rest areas and was wondering what was going on here. well, if them are making a bunch of this then okay, long smooth entry into a spacious and well reasoned parking area with separate lots for larger and smaller vehicles and other small vehicles besides and except for coming right off the interstate this sort of almost feels like visiting the library, but with way more potties and snack machines. really hope this is a sign of things to come but I'm not holding my breath. this is ohio after all and - the late james trafficant not withstanding - I'm not convinced the locals understand the appeal of nuance, subtlety, and a bit of good natured scandal. ...but in the meanwhile life and travel are rough.

The acoustics for sound was surprisingly good and made our audio sound better than most places we had played. We were hired by the owner who compensated us very reasonable for our time. My son and I ordered food and both the food was tasty and was reasonable priced. It is such a cool place where you can dock your boat and have food brought to you at the dock. I had a great experience with a staff member named Alex. Alex was super friendly, helpful, and very professional. Lisa the manager was everywhere taking care of customers and kept the operation running smoothly. Lisa came out to pay us just as soon as we were finished. She complimented us which went over well with the band members. I thank Acheson's Resort for everything and will recommend them very easily.
