A memorable spot for a mid-bike-ride lunch, with food as lovely as the scenery. I had the Zander,…read morewhich was fresh, mild, and flakey, and mein Freund had the Schnitzel with mushrooms, which was rich and hearty. The fish came with roasted potatoes, and while the schnitzel didn't, my partner asked for the roasted potatoes instead of the boiled ones, and our server gladly complied. And it is so fortunate we had two portions of the potatoes, because while the fish and meat were very good, the potatoes were amazing. (And not only because they were quite generous with the bacon!) There is magic happening in that tiny on-board kitchen.
We didn't have room for dessert (the portion size was more than fine for two hungry cyclists -- maybe they increased it since the earlier reviews?), which was unfortunate, as we'd spotted an amazing looking raspberry cake on our way in. Perhaps we'll repeat this bike route, just so we can return to this restaurant.
