Restaurant Depot is a member-only warehouse store that sells groceries, meat, dairy, frozen food, and equipment and supplies for the food services industry.  It's similar to a Business Costco but more extensive with comparable prices.  Non-members can go into the warehouse, but only members can buy.  The warehouse is bare bones and a bit shabby around the edges.  There are some great buys -- especially in the cheeses -- but you have to look for them.

Awesome bronze and stainless steel sculpture at a park near the Depot

619-233-0200 is their phone # Great selection of gourmet cheeses, serving platters, condiments, everything for the restaurantour or anyone who qualifies for their wholesale status. The place is usually very busy and hopping. Enjoy!

If you have a business license and a business, have a lot of freezer space, or a lot of family members and friends, this a nice place to go shop!. One thing I like about this place is that their beef is very well priced and competitive. They have a variety of seafood fresh or frozen. Great cheese collection and cold cuts as well. Yes, you need to buy in large quantities, but it s worth it if you run a nonprofit organization or business. Please note, this place is not opened to the general public unless you have a business tax Id. number or you run or part of, a nonprofit organization. I dread coming here, it's anxiety inducing. From the moment you enter the parking lot people have their carts in the middle of the lanes so cars have to maneuver in and out, everyone is also too lazy to return them and puts them in parking spaces instead. Once inside you will find that every week they are out of something that you need, it never fails, they cannot stock the shelves correctly. Although the employees are kind and helpful, something is always wrong with inventory. When you make your way to the checkout lanes, they are never all open. The ones that are open are backed up into each aisle so you cannot get through from the front of the store, you need to go to the back of the store and pick a line to wait in. Don't come here if you're in a hurry, that's for sure.

The guys here are awesome! Im going to submit this review for the north park and downtown location…read morebecause the fellas at both of these shops have helped me. I brought my iPhone 12 Pro in to have the back glass replaced (badly cracked each time, yeah I suck) and to have a new battery installed. Every single guy I've interacted with has been awesome. They are very friendly, work quickly, care about the customers and are VERY accommodating. HOW accommodating you might ask? Well I brought my phone in yesterday to have the back glass and battery replaced. They were able to fix the back glass no problem but did not have the battery at the north park location so they asked to come in tomorrow. I mentioned that I wouldn't make it by closing because of my work commute. Well that didn't deter them from being awesome at all. Not only did Miguel, from the downtown shop, bring the battery up from his store, but he showed up at the north park location 30 minutes after closing AND replaced the battery for me. I choose to support local businesses and I am MORE than happy to spend some time writing up a review (here and on google) for great people behind a great local small business. I hope this review is helpful (it really is) and hope you give them your business (cmonnn). Thank you guys for giving a s**t about your customers!

if I could give it 0 starts I would first off they answer…read morethe phone super rude and extremely loud background can't hear anything and they completely rip you off! They make sure you pay for the service first then they attempt to fix your phone screen and after a few days almost 2 weeks later hey say it's unfixable and won't refund your money!! watch out for these SCAMMERS!! DO NOT bring ANYTHING here!

I did the Caffeine Crawl in January 2015. The stop I enjoyed most wasn't a coffee shop or roaster;…read moreit was InterAmerican Coffee, a green coffee importer headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, with offices and warehouses around the world, including San Diego's East Village. InterAmerican staff, including traders Sheridan Owings and Dana Andrews and logistician "Fern" Hernandez, told us how they grade the beans they sell, and shared very interesting information about how the coffee supply chain works - from grower/coop to importer to roaster. And because I asked, they generously offered to introduce me to their warehouse operators in New Orleans, when I'm there next. I also learned that San Diego's roasters - including The Westbean Coffee Roasters - buy a large portion of their green beans from InterAmerican, and from a competing Los Angeles company, Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders. Now, when I'm considering which roasted beans to buy for my home kitchen, I visit these companies' websites to review the specifications and assessments they post for each type of bean. Doing so, I've learned much more about what I'm drinking, which, for a wonk like myself, makes each cup more interesting. ****************************** Caffeine Crawl: http://www.yelp.com/biz/caffeine-crawl-san-diego-san-diego?hrid=eY7uEj7zWV937Xq3YfFeig InterAmerican Coffee: http://www.interamericancoffee.com/ The Westbean Coffee Roasters: http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-westbean-coffee-roasters-san-diego?hrid=sTCI6D8r12T4XgiAeIdImg Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders: http://www.bodhileafcoffee.com/
