Visiting my sister in Knowlton, which isn't too far from this long established eatery. My two nieces and I accompanied my sister for lunch. It's such a lovely area and in case you forget your cell phone, there's a handy Bell phone booth on the premises before you go into the restaurant.
Having grown up in Montreal, this was like going home and entering the warm and welcoming Quebequois eatery. The big screen tv was on, and above it were Montreal Canadiens' hockey shirts. I saw they had an extra room off to the left of the entrance for additional customers.
We were immediately seated at a bench in the main part of the restaurant facing the kitchen and provided menus. Since my French was rusty I did my best "Franglais" but the ladies were bilingual so we all ordered. The food was delicious and plentiful, just like I remembered. Coffee refills kept coming and our tummies were happy.
