However, it's a little hidden and up the hill, so it wasn't nearly as busy as the more touristy restaurant that's located right on the lake. The view of the mountains and meadows was beautiful, and the food was outstanding. I had the Schweinebraten with potato dumplings. It was the best one I had on the whole trip (I had this dish about 7 or 8 times during our vacation). The crackling was perfectly crispy, the beer sauce flavorful, and the dumplings were just how I like them - stretchy. My wife had the Wiener schnitzel and agreed it was one of the best of the trip. My son had a Weiss wurst, and again, one of the best. To top it off, we finished with an Apple strudel that disappeared in a flash. Finally, the service was great. The waiter had a fun personality and really engaged our son. That was the icing on the cake that made this our favorite restaurant (of many great ones).
