The store owner of a nearby restaurant told us that we had to try this restaurant without a doubt and so we did! She said it was affordable and even more delicious and she was right! We recommend going early for dinner as it fills out quickly. The owners and servers were super nice and helpful. They immediately came over and spoke to us about the menu options. We all chose to do the appetizer and entrees and everyone LOVED their meals! My favorite was the duck with sweet potato mash. It was the best meal of my entire trip! The place seats 20, it was full & they had to turn lots away who did not have a reservation. The food was fantastic! Fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation & generous portions. We did the 6-course prix fixe for 70 Euros each which includes 2 starters (fish soup & rosotto), 2 entrees (cod & lamb), a cheese course & dessert. We had spent a week in Paris before coming to Antibes, eating at great places including Le Jules Verne. Our meal at L'Armoise was the best of our 2-week trip! Thomas was our waiter with excellent English and the most helpful we have experienced in our over 7 days here in JLP. His ability to juggle several tables in the high heat and still keep an upbeat helpful attitude was impressive. The salad Nicoise (which I have tasted everywhere in France) is the best we really have had and the drinks were top rate. This is all while sitting in the beating hot sand under umbrellas on a beach. If you are pondering all of the umbrellas and where to go for your lunch on JLP and want a great experience I recommend not missing Le Colombier.
