We ordered a takeaway and went to pick it up, as we live nearby…read more The food was on time, friendly service, even got some green tea bottles thrown in for free. Based on a couple of reviewers mentioning smaller size, we ordered plenty: sweet and sour soup, duck with pineapple, spicy Malay noodles with beef, fried rice with shrimp, spicy fried beef and calamari. The portions were not enormous (you could say GVA size) but we got too much for the two of us, and tonight will enjoy some leftovers. The crispy beef and calamari were exceptionally tasty. Will go back!

This is an EXCELLENT restaurant, especially for vegetarians…read more The weekday lunch buffet is very tasty, but what's really amazing is the a la carte menu on weekends and evenings. The ingredients are fresh, and expertly prepared. They are amazingly delicious. The owner is friendly and often chats with customers. She can be seen at almost every meal. W hile all Indian restaurants are vegetarian-friendly, what makes this one stand out is that at the weekday buffet, if you tell them you're veg, they will prepare a fresh dish for you to make up for the fact that only 2 of the many dishes are veg. Don't fill up on dahl and mixed veggie! The fresh dish, which is different every time, is always amazing. The service is a bit slow, with the buffet appetizers being set out around noon, the main dishes slightly after, and the dessert around quarter till one. They only have one waitress. So if you're looking for a leisurely meal, this is it, but if you're in a hurry and were hoping for a fast bite this is not it. lso, I wish they would serve samosa at the buffet! Their samosa are excellent! But their pakoras are very good too.

It's an amazing location to grab an inexpensive lunch in the heart of the Verbier skiing station…read morethat I've never missed an opportunity to visit when skiing. Let's make things clear. You can find better food in skiing stations, but it will be 4 to 5 times the price of a meal you would get here. You can find cheaper food as well, but it likely would be a dried-out sandwich or an energy bar. This is the only place to my knowledge that offers a proper meal (whole made-on-the-spot pizza, Lasagna, half-chicken) for a price that's closer to 15 CHF than to 20 CHF. The quality is pretty darn good - all the food is cooked on the spot, and while it's not quite high gastronomy and you are in a self-service, the food is delicious, well-balanced nutritionally and the restaurant provides an abundance of choice. For those unsatisfied with the choice at the main service, there are as well crepe station - a place where crepes are prepared right in front of you with a selection of fresh ingredients you choose yourself. The sitting area is large, with both inside and outside section, both giving onto a breathtaking panorama of Alps and with abundant seating even for large groups. Finally, For the desert and coffee, they have a separate café; with very decent coffee and very decent deserts - not something I've ever been disappointed with.

Asian Express has a buffet for 25 CHF per person. You are probably wondering, why even try a Asian…read morebuffet as they typically are going to be a 1 or 2 star experience. That is true, all the previous Asian buffet experiences back in the US for me have resulted in a frown, and would have rated at best a 1 star (if that). This buffet includes a fruit section, some mediocre sushi items, a hot buffet, and even some steamed dumplings. I went this weekend for the first time with some friends and we each got the buffet. My husband tried the egg flour soup which he didn't finish as it had no flavor. The sushi was mewhh and flavourless. The first complaint is that they do not replenish the missing items quickly. The kung pao chicken was tasty, but was not replenished during my time there. Plus, it had bones in it, making it difficult to eat! I found the rice, steamed dumplings, and pot-stickers to be the best items here. Also, following our meal I felt a bit sick to my stomach for several hours. Thus, a MEH 2 star experience summarises my recent visit.
