The Mövenpick Restaurant in Regensdorf had been refurbished in last August and so we thought let's have a look. The redesigned and newly furnished restaurant presents itself with new tables, seats, and a lot of brownish wood panels on the walls illuminated by indirect light that adds up to an elegent yet a bit dark ambience. From the menu we choose the Zander (small portion) with rice and the Bier-Säuli cutlet (beer pork chop) with Lyon potatoes and beans. Both meals were very well prepared and fully satisfied our expectations. For the dessert it had to be one of the renowned Mövenpick sundaes of course. Iced coffee and a Black Forest sundae were our choice of the day. No disappointment here again! Very friendly, attentive and swift service. I cannot stress enough just how piss poor the service was at this restaurant. Dinner arrived a cool 45 minutes after ordering without a visit from our waiter during that time. My wife received the drink she ordered AFTER the meal was served. The sauce on the Calzone was cold. The spaghetti was fairly good, but after the ridiculous wait, it wasn't very enjoyable. P.S. if you eat outside on the lush patio/courtyard, expect the aroma of cigarettes to dominate your evening. P.P.S. Good luck getting your bill when you're ready to leave. read more
