History

Established in 1971.

Vor ca. 45 Jahren haben wir unseren Pferdehof erbaut und rundum mit Bäumen bepflanzt. Wir haben mit Pferden einen Ausreitbetrieb begonnen und gleichzeitig unsere Gäste für unser Restaurant gewonnen. Seit dieser Zeit haben wir liebenswerte Besucher. Inzwischen kommen schon die Enkel in unser Restaurant. Wir arbeiten mit frischen Produkten - die Hauptgerichte kommen zum grösste Teil von einem Holzkohlengrill der sich Mitten im Lokal befindet. Suppen und Desserts werden fast täglich frisch zubereitet. Bei warmer Witterung können die Gäste auf einer Terrasse umringt von alten Bäumen Ihren Abend verbringen.

This is one of the best German restaurants in the entire area. Not much to show for on the outside…read moreand even on the inside, it is nothing special as far as the decoration is concerned. BUT - the FOOD! This is just a place to eat really VERY well. Their local dishes (with a few exceptions they only offer regional cuisine) are prepared the way they should be, without shortcuts, everything is fresh and tasty. If you want to sample some good real german food without it being misrepresented by lazy and unmotivated cooks, then come here! They even have a certificate to prove that all their ingredients are locally sourced, which is to show that they care comprehensively. All that said, the prices are extremely reasonable. Just make sure to reserve ahead of time, as this place is well known amongst the locals.
