It is always very good and never disappointed me once. The price is very fair for what you get. For lunch you can get a soup, salad, pizza and a dessert for only around CHF 16.00 total, which is amazing! Service: The restaurant is run by a family. They are very nice and fulfill your extra wishes too. The speed is very good. Ambience: It has a rustical interior with a lot of wood and two floors. I always liked going there and I still do. Good quality and good taste. especially the sauces (on meat and salad) were very good. Service: we came at 1.20pm for some lunch (which is quite late) but we still got service and everything we wanted! fast and good Ambience: it has a simple modern design. the cool thing about this restaurant is, that it is located exactly next to the barracks of the swiss military. so you see them getting traines sometimes

Knowledgeable, considering, friendly, quick, and did I mention that the place was packed and hosted a wedding?

Food: they offer a different degustation-menu daily. which means theres no a la carte, but obviously if you don't like a meal, they would make something special for you. it was a 4-course meal and cost 120.- quite pricey but totally worth it! every meal was excellent!!! Service: young personnel and the owner was very nice. she is the host and takes the orders, while her husband works in the kitchen. Atmosphere: it is in the outer skirts of basel but not too far away and right next to the main street. the interior is very modern and fits the restaurant. they also have an outside area which is very nice in summer and also quiet because the street is on the other side of the house. I came here with high expectations as this is the highest rated restaurant in the canton of baselland. and the expections were even exceeded!! they totally deserve their rating and i'll surely be back!! :)

The olio picante was actually hot, and there was a serious black pepper mill available, very good. Desert option were basically two - a homemade panna cotta which I did not try, and some ice-cream (Tartufo) which for me doesn't really count as a desert. Service was fast but the staff seemed to be a bit worn out - probably due to last night's new year's eve partying. Pricing is reasonable, and the interior design gets bonus points for trying to be contemporary. All in all 3 points for being ok: not a place I specifically aim to go again, but also wouldn't despair if I end up there for whatever reason.

I can't think of much to say that is…read morenegative- the staff were more than polite and attentive, the food was good, and outdoor seating was pleasant enough. The waitress recommended a great wine and for Switzerland, the prices were reasonable. I would return!
