I ordered hakkebøf med bløde log, Anders A ordered biksemad and my boyfriend chose dagens ret or today's dish which was Krebinetter med grøntsager og smør sovs. My hakkebøf was served with fries on the side (my request) and the brown sauce on it was really good. All my eating companions were satisfied with their meal. The bill came cheap at 109kr for mine and total was 415 kr including drinks (two 0.5L beer and one small beer). The today's dish was even cheaper at 89kr. Great price and good service. Maybe I'll drop by again if I ever found myself in Køge

The ambiance at Restaurant Karla is welcoming and cozy, in the Danish sense of the word "hygge." I was more than ready to try an open-faced sandwich and mine was the roast beef with horseradish (I omitted this since I'm not a horseradish fan), remoulade and roasted onions. The roast beef was excellent and the sauce and onions added great flavor. My wife had a brie, crackers, and grapes plate, which was nothing special and cost the same as my roast beef sandwich $14 (high for what she got).
