This restaurant is a great option for before or after you walk the ruins. The green smoothie is amazing its called chayagra. The fried plantain, mole, enchiladas and ceviche were great too. when my family and I were here we were greeted, welcomed and treated very nicely by Martin.

First time having food outside my resort or a theme park. Had the tacos al Pastor and they were great. The service was fast and our total was $14 USD for a plate of tacos and two cokes.

This is a great place to get authentic Mexican food. Also, the staff is very friendly and nice and honest. The salsa is amazing and made with habanero peppers so be careful; because if you don't like spicey then you won't be able to handle this salsa! I really loved it though!

Bryan was very knowledgeable and attentive, so everyone got *exactly* what they wanted . I went with a mezcal rosemary based cocktail. My friends got a passion fruit tequila and spicy mezcal ones. The space was gorgeous... like rustic, jungle chic. It seemed a little out of place on the main strip (it looked very different than most of the other places), but that's what drew us in. They had a menu of inventive cocktails that featured local ingredients (guanabana, mango, coconut milk) and lots of different types of mezcal. The drinks were delicious and the music and atmosphere was awesome. It felt like a Brooklyn bar transplanted into Mexico (sorry if I sound like a snobby New Yorker :-)). There were only 2 other people in the bar, the bartender, Ulysses, and the owner (I think), Jonathan. They were 2 super friendly young guys. They gave us a brief history of Mezcal and told us all about the different local ingredients they used. I think this place only opened a few months ago. It seemed like business may be a bit slow, but we drove by late at night a few days later and it was pretty crowded. The crowd was all tourists, European expats, etc... no locals... I didn't even see any locals working there. I loved the bar, but I love supporting locals, so I feel a little odd giving such a colonized place 5 stars, so solid 4 stars from me. If you're looking for a cool a cool bar to have a tasty cocktail, definitely check it out.

But the dinner my daughter and I had was delicious. We were seated right away. Up to the roof top we go. There are 4 levels to this restaurant. Each has their own vibe. The service was top notch, always attentive to our needs. Everyone was very friendly here. This restaurant is great for large groups. Out front of Good Burger, it was hard to tease out which menu was for what restaurant, but I guess it didn't matter because the second floor was the bar where the night cap was made and brought upstairs. Up on the rooftop, the setting was whimsical, naturey, romantic. It was great to sit on cushiony seats under dim lighting with lots of greens hanging above and on the walls. The street view below was, well, of the street. For a weekend night, it was desolate and for awhile, we had the whole roof to ourselves (minus the two servers with nothing to do). For my one drink, I selected a mojito swoon (ginger, lime). It was pretty much a very refreshing lemonade with only a slight hint of alcohol - but that's the theme in most cocktails I had in Tulum. Our poor waitress came by several times to check in on us out of boredom, which was nice, but also weird at the same time given it was clear the place was dead, so it seemed like she was coming to our table too often.

*AVOID, TOURIST TRAP, DISHONEST, RIP OFF *…read more II stumbled upon this location because I was looking for the business that was previously at this location called Mezcal Nakawae. Interestingly enough, they do serve mezcal from Nakawae I saw it on their shelf, but they now call themselves Fruity Cocktail Bar. I was beyond disappointed with my visit and would give 0 stars if possible. The previous business had rave 5 star reviews, a great mezcal menu, mezcal cocktail menu, and a food menu I was interested in. When I arrived the bartender greeted me, and that was about it. So I proceeded to sit down ( I was the only one in the bar) and asked about a food menu. She said they don't have any food. Okay no problem, so I asked about a cocktail or mezcal menu. She responded "no menu, the menu is in my head". Okay so tell me more... she would just respond and leave it at that. So I asked -- do you have different mezcals, can you explain to me the difference between the ones you stock, or do you recommend a shot or a cocktail? With the language barrier she said " you want shot?" No -- so I further requested she give me some info. If you don't have a menu, and you say it's in your head -- you need to tell me what's in your head?!? She ended up making me a cocktail with pineapple juice, some soda water, and mezcal. mediocre at best. I was ready to leave after that first drink - and I heard here say 150 pesos, relatively fair. Then I handed her the money and she said " NO. 250 PESOS". That's a joke. That is MORE than drinks on the playa! This area should be no more than 100 or 150 PESOS MAX -- talking to both a local and another bartender from Hermana Republica. Also if you do the math that is $14 USD for a cocktail, that is a bad joke if I ever heard one. But I'm not an asshole, so I paid her silently, and left. I am revolted by this establishment and highly suggest everyone avoid, do not waste your time or money here. Rude, dishonest , unhelpful " service" if you can even call it that.

He told us about how they had recently changed owners and became a queer bar. We ordered a negroni and one of the mezcal specialty drinks. The drinks were good and the prices were reasonable.
