And of course came back to Cachupin. Made a reservation a few days before. Got a nice table outside, our Bulldog was welcome as well. Staff/owner very friendly and helpful. The place was pretty busy as usual, so ordering took a bit of time. But time we got plenty and it was - again - definitely worth the wait. Ordered the Pudin Cabracho (a fish mousse), Taco de Foie (Foie Gras), Almejas (clams) and Gambas a la plancha (grilled shrimp). All items were amazingly good. The Foie Gras smooth and tasty, and what a big sized serving that was! Plenty for two or more. The fish mousse was really nicely done. Fresh, light, good fish flavour. The clams were in a wonderful broth/sauce with lots of oil and herbs. Nice to dip some bread in as well. Delicous. The grilled shrimp here are always a highlight. Nice grill flavour, sweet and tender shrimps. Had a nice bottle of white wine with and some water. It was and still is one of our favorite places in the whole of Spain. Service, quality of food, atmosphere. It's just all there. Prices given the high quality are fair as well. We will definitely be back here! Highly recommended!

The thing about sitting outside is that there are smokers. :/ The pinxtos are premade and just heated up. We tried txangurro (spider crab) gratin, artichoke in tempura, and crispy squid with onion. I was a bit disappointed, because I didn't care for any of them. The bread was quite crusty. I guess pinxtos aren't my thing.

The mixed salad isn't what you would expect: iceberg lettuce, onions, olives, white asparagus, and tuna. Overall, the drinks and prices are good. Service is exceptional and dinner can run 2+ hours. A definite place to return.
