    The famous pizza
    Dayamis H.

The pizza was great! I loved the famous lobster pizza here. It was delicious and big, lobster was fresh and abundant. The only downside was the service which was incredible bad, maybe is more accurate to say "lack of service". This was generalized at the more traditional restaurants that we visited in the island. We weren't expecting such bad service because is not the common denominator in mainland or at least in the Mexico capital which I had visited plenty of times in the past, on the contrary it is famous for the quality of service offered there.

We had biked into town and it started to rain and we ran inside to escape the rain. Server had us place our bikes on the patio to keep them dry. Nice! Very open and great to watch the rain and activity next to the town's square. Drinks? Horchata for me. It was huge & very good. Food? Queso Fundido. I know its hard to screw up melted cheese, but this was Very Good. We scraped out every last bit of cheese. Pizza. Medium easily feeds 2 people. We had pepperoni on one half (boring and heard it wasn't good). My half had Anchovies & Capers. Yum. The capers were huge and flavorful. It was the perfect salty goodness when hungover from Tequila. ;) But, the crust wasn't very good; too hard & crunchy. Service was great and he kept the drinks flowing. And what do you know, as we were finishing up, the rain stopped.

Once the novelty of pulpo (octopus) and lobster pizza wear off, you'll probably be disappointed in your decision to eat here. In brief, the promise of the toppings at Pizzeria Edelyn outshine the crust. While you wouldn't expect true Neopolitan pizza with a chewy, delicious salty crust in a sleepy seaside town in Mexico, when you consider the supposedly fresh seafood product they are working with, wouldn't it be so fabulous if the crust could live up to the delicious topping? I think we paid about $50 for a lobster pizza, which seems a little crazy considering the crust we were working with. Still, we had to try it.

Cheap ingredients. They serve the lowest quality peperoni and cheese in their pizzas.

Very expensive for pizza here and not very good. We tried the lobster pizza and it was just ok.

It's huge, as far as presentation it's not very fancy, it was tasty but as large as it was you'd think it had more alcohol to offset the size. But it did not. My wife ordered the aguachile with octopus. I ordered the Tuna Burger, and we got the steak quesadillas as an appetizer. My wife said she would give her aguachile a 3.8 out of 5. I thought the tuna burger was very tasty. Basically they took a tuna steak and put it between a hamburger bun. I can't really compare it to a regular meat burger. But on a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 7. It came only with lettuce and tomato, but it had flavor enough. The quesadilla's were good, but nothing special, I'd say they were comparable to any you get at an average Mexican restaurant in the states. We came here because of the high ratings. Maybe we ordered the wrong things to try, I thought everything was good, but nothing that was so good it made me want to hurry back.

The menu is simple with just enough options to where everyone can find something they like. I had the skirt steak tacos and my friend got fish tacos, We also ordered a frozen margarita and mojito that were huge!!!!! The prices were fair for what you get and the atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The music is not too loud so you can have a conversation with your group. They are not pushy to get you in and out like other places. Will definitely be back

April 4, 2026 - 5 Stars!…read more Our group of 6 went to La Pizzarra based on positive reviews here and on Google. It was great!! It was as good of meal as we had our entire vacation- and the price was very reasonable, especially when compared to resort/hotel prices. It sits on the lagoon so there are really nice views- we prefer to sit outside and it was great. The warm rolls they brought out were delicious We started with 2 pizzas to share, and both were fantastic. We tried the BarBQ chicken pizza and the meatlovers- both really really good We all had pasta for main course. There is one dish that was penne with shrimp and chicken- that was the best. The fettuccine Alfredo was great, definitely better than average. The spicy shrimp pasta was ok- the pasta was undercooked but the shrimp and pesto was tasty. If you're looking for really good pizza & pasta- we highly recommend. We went at/around 7pm and didn't need reservations. Staff was outstanding- very friendly and very attentive

La Pizzarra delivered a thin-crust beauty loaded with quality pepperoni and well-seasoned meatballs. The sauce had just the right touch of sweetness, and the crust held up perfectly -- no flop, no soggy center, just a slice you could fold and enjoy. When you're on vacation and craving something familiar done right, this is exactly what you hope to find. A low-key win in the middle of the Hotel Zone. Highly recommend.
