I was in Holbox for a bachelorette over the weekend and we had the best time at Parador 33! They were efficient in managing everyone's order (a group of 15!!) and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the lobster ravioli and the octopus! The bread at the beginning of the meal was also excellent and came with delicious sauces. We got many photos as the spot had a great instagrammable ambiance. If I am ever in Holbox again, I would happily go to Parador 33. read more

-My last night on the island ate at Parador 33. The staff was accommodating. very friendly and helpful. I ordered a dirty martini, a small order of risotto for an app, rib eye and the tiramisu. They should add the dirty martini to their menu bc it was exceptional! Also had a small portion of the lobster risotto the lobster was overcooked but everything was delicious! The rib eye was also overcooked...but the flavors are so exceptional that you don't complain. The steak can easily be for two ppl, and I have the rest to my pup pals at the animal shelter. Everything was exceptional. Unlike Jessica T's experience we had the exact same server and he was wonderful. We are from the US as well, he asked where we were from but was clearly unfazed by it, he provided excellent service. In fact we saw him walking on the beach this morning, he recognized us, despite the restaurant being very busy while we were there, he said hello and was very friendly! That aside, the steak we had was perfectly cooked, the presentation was beautiful, the wine was excellent, all the staff were on point, I loved the vibe and ambiance. There was a sweet little dog that was resting comfortably amongst the patrons who we just adored, moreover we loved that all the staff just worked around her and introduced her as one of them. We plan on going back our last night here! read more

Food was good. Service was horrible. The ambiance was also good. Would we return? Absolutely not! The greeter/server almost didn't even let us in, even though we had a reservation. He severed us our drinks and gave us bread. He asked where we were from and once we said, he chose to never check on us again. We waited an hour before I had to go up to him and ask him to take our order. He then asked us what we wanted even though he had never shown us the menu. We ordered, ate and spent a lot of money to have it be ruined by one person because of where we were from. read more

We had an incredible experience dining at this amazing establishment. The food was incredible (best focaccia bread, steak) and the staff was even better. Rodrigo entertained our children with games and was so wonderful so that we could enjoy our meal. By far the best food we had on Holbox. Super cute "Tulum-type" vibe. The waitress and manager?/owner? were extremely nice and willing to explain the dishes and give recommendations. They also were excited to present a steak dish that is prepared in a specific way and gets cut right at the table- "Bife de lomo a la sal". As a Texan, I'm snooty about my meat, but I'm still dreaming about this meal... At the top of our list to eat at when we come back! read more

This place we went to because a different one was closed. But I do not regret it. This is the best restaurant ever! The menu is on a chock board, and it's super pretty. The food was incredible I doubt anywhere else could beat it! The waitress was super nice and new exactly what she was doing. I highly recommend this place. About two years ago my fiancé and I visited Holbox for about a week. We had some amazing meals, and Parador 33 was one of the most memorable. So memorable that when we returned in February 2021, with 9 of our favorite foodies, we had to have our last group meal here. After about 10 days of straight Mexican food, it was nice to get something that reminded us a bit of home. It's a little ironic, since Parador 33 is actually an Italian and Uruguay fusion restaurant, but remind us of home it did none the less. Their wine selection is the best I've had in Mexico so far. I highly recommend the following dishes: octopus (pulpo) carpaccio, ravioli, lobster, steak, lasagne, empanadas and pizza. I'm not a huge pasta fan but my friends agreed amongst themselves that it was "good" but needed a little parmesan. They have cheese on request so just ask if your carbs are lacking dairy. Love this place, will definitely return! read more

We treated ourselves to Parador after desiring a break from the usual Mexican cuisine. This place is a tad hidden in a sort of a shopping courtyard, a short walk down from Rosa Mexicana. We found it the first day we arrived and it came across as a bit more upscale than we were ready for and also very crowded so we opted to try it another night. We were greeted by the hostess who told us it would be about a 20 minute wait. We decided to grab a beer and a mezcal flight at the tequila bar on the corner of Ac Damero and Calle Tiburon Ballena (it has two swings facing the bar and several tables on the street). We came back in about 30 minutes and they had a table reserved for us so we sat right down. The menu offered many steaks imported from Uruguay, pastas, pizzas, seafood, etc. they have a nice showcase wooden oven facing the dining room, with the rest of the kitchen tucked behind the bar. The restaurant is well designed and the place had a buzzy atmosphere. It also looks into a hotel garden pool area. We ordered the tenderloin for two and two margaritas. Service was quicker than normal for the island. The margaritas were very good. Our tenderloin was delivered to us in 'case' of hardened rosemary, salt and I believe bread. They put the steak in the case and into the wood oven to deepen the flavor. We tried a little piece and it was very very salty. The restaurant owner personally split the case open and sliced our tenderloin. Our side dishes of potatoes were brought over separately. The owner is from Mexico City and has a restaurant there called Barrio Norte that is a similar. The steak was incredible. We were really impressed with how well the flavors were transferred. Definitely try this place if you are looking for something more upscale on the island and don't be afraid of how crowded it most likely will be! read more

Great place located inside a quaint little shopping center. Definitely a step above all of the other restaurants we tried in the island; more expensive too. The steaks are grass fed and imported from Uruguay, one of the best quality beef producers in the world. You can see the open kitchen and most of the food is prepared either on their brick oven, or their Argentinian-style grill. While pizza seems to be the "official" dish of Holbox, the pizza at Parador 33, was also better than all others we tried. Wine selection also seems to be better curated than other area restaurants with a good selection of South America and a California wines. If you are willing to spend a bit more than at other restaurants in the area, Parador 33 delivers. read more

The service was great, ambience is great but to be perfectly honest the quality and taste does not justify the prices they charge. I did order pasta - maybe they specialize more in meat dishes? But very very pricey for Mexico and its not even beach front. The food is not horrible- just not worth the price. read more
