This establishment has been in business for as long as I can remember, so coming back for our Steamies and French Fries made my day. We both had Selection 1 (2 steamed hot dogs all dressed, a huge bag of Quebec style french fries and a large drink). It wasn't very busy so we didn't have to wait long to order and receive our food. If you're from Montréal or somewhere in the Province de Québec, Lafleur's has been a go-to for generations. It's not everybody's choice for lunch or dinner, but they do serve Poutine if that is your desire. It's just not for me. read more

Probably one of the original Lafleur's. This place is always packed and the service is great It's one of the oldest casse croutes still standing and I wish I knew how in the hell they make money by only charging 69cents an all dressed steamy! Location: West island off of hymus and sources pretty busy and always a line up through the door. Service : not very amicable but super efficient.. staff just wants to get you out of there and take a 5 min breather after a crazy rush Food: it's Okay but can't expect more for what you pay for. I enjoyed the Michigan's in particular the sauce was great but the bun was stale. I love my dogs dirtyyy and drenched in the sauce so unfortunately i found it wasn't drenched enough quite bland the sauce .. not the best michigans I've had they're tiny compared to other places but again can't expect much for 1,50$ a Michigan.. the all dressed steamy was ok just tiny again Overall, if you're hungry and want something fast and filling Lafleur's is an option but it's not the best option for quality and food.. What is the best thing you can do during this COVID-19 pandemic? Get some comfort food and enjoy! I decided to stop by Lafleur to grab some steamed hotdogs and a poutine! Kudos on their setup during this pandemic. One entrance in and an exit across the other side of the building so as to not run into anyone. Tape is set up to keep your distance from others and specific areas within the restaurant to pick up your order. Service was quick. It took literally five minutes to get the order ready. Hotdogs were delicious! Poutine was ok, fries were a bit dark but nonetheless satisfying. I hope more restaurants and commercial buildings adopt more of this setup during these odd times! I thought this place used to be much more run down. I'm pretty sure they've done some renos. It looks like any other fast food resto with booths and such. It's too bad they only have one cash open, a huge line, and this giant wraparound space to pick up your order which really could've been more efficiently designed. The poutine here is good. I liked Lafleur. It may seem dated but that's nostalgic in my books. Kind of how many La Belle Province still look a little stuck in time this place is a bit so what? The food is ok and it's a quick place to get a bite. Hot dogs? Poutine? That's a magical combo yes? If you're looking for a quick fast meal and you feel like having fast food I'd rather come here than McDonald's and yes they also have smoked meat and burgers too. It is with great sadness that I must share the news that this chain has gone to the bottom of the hill. Once my go to place my last 2 visits have been very disappointing. $14 for 1 Michigan cheese and a fry with gravy, wow half the price of a very decent steak dinner with all the sides elsewhere. The fries suck now, once their main attraction, new oil maybe healthier but adversely effects the good old taste the fries once had. In my book, and wallet, not waiting for a 3rd pitch, 2 strikes they are out! Next stop Belle Province... I am very sad to post this but they have lost their magic! read more

I flew in from Toronto and had a craving for Lafleur's hotdogs and poutine. Had not been to one in about 25 years. I drove to the one on Cote de Liesse but it was closed for the day. So I drive out to this one on Hymus Boulevard. The company started business in 1951 and I used to go the restaurants when I was younger in the 70's and 80's. So first off, the newer modern restaurants are nothing like the older ones, of which only a few seem to be around as far as I can tell when driving in the city. The atmosphere in this restaurant is too sterile and awkward. Now for the food; it's exactly the way I remember it. I had a Michigan hotdog that was decent and default all dressed steamie that was very good. The coleslaw is a little sweeter than the other chains like Belle Province and Petit Quebec. Their poutine is very good but there now much better poutines available in Montreal. I think their competitors got them beat on that front. That aside, they've been around since 1951 so they are doing something right, their consistency is beyond reproach and they deserve credit. If you are looking for some steamies and good fries or poutine, your can't go wrong. They get 3.5 stars in my book. read more

Not exactly comparable to a real casse croute steamie and poutine but it does the job! Lafleur's has always been consistent in its food as they use fresh cut potatoes and loads of real Quebec curd cheese with brown gravy on their poutines. The steamies are every bit as good as I remember them. Again, not at la Banquise level for the poutine and not at Montreal Pool Room level for the dogs but it will do the job any day with consistency. read more

Person taking order on March 17 apprx 1:30pm was super rude. Couldn't care less just an order taker. Disrespecting myself and my family who flew in from USA and specifically requested Poutine. I was embarrassed on how he was treating everyone. We ordered 4 drinks plus a drink that was included in a combo. When I asked him for the 5th glass he berated me in front of not only the employees but also the customers waiting to place their orders. I don't take well to people treating me or my Family this way. He should not be working there. Understand there are not many workers in the restaurant business anymore, but those who are left should respect the clients who are spending money in the establishment. Just as we customers are to be polite, so should the workers. He made it very obvious he did not like English speaking customers. He ruined my Sisters excitement for having Poutine after so many months being away from Quebec. Disgusting and should be ashamed - but he's not. Ignorant. This place is a throw back to another time. An ugly time from the 70's and 80's. They haven't changed, but they should. I've often felt like I'm in a prison cafeteria waiting for my portion of food.
