This is a cute little massage shop that is right next to The Jamaican Pot which is an amazing place to get Jamaican barbecue right on 8 Mile Road. Located in a plaza with a liquor store and a closed-down stripclub across the side street and a rims accessories car shop as well. So it's pretty cool little Plaza and this is a cute massage parlor, and the reason we checked it out is because we were waiting for our Jamaican food. Barbie was impressed and she like this little spa and said that she would come back here next time we're in Detroit to get some stuff done maybe. But maybe from her usually means no. She was an older woman I had never seen here before, she was rude and kept saying "u pay now" without even approaching the register. Very odd and unprofessional interaction. I thought I had found a good spot not far from my job but sadly I won't be returning. I work in services and know how important tips are but have never asked at any massage place to tip upfront or even pay upfront.

It looked good so I bought the Groupons for multiple massage sessions. Next I tried to set up appointments for my wife and me but I had some questions. We really liked the previous place we used to go every month and only stopped because it was a long drive so I was looking for a new place that was closer. I wanted to talk to someone because I had a number of questions but it seemed I could only communicate by text or email. I was referred to a third party website to set up appointments but the dates and times were very limited, there was nobody I could talk to (think Microsoft, Amazon, Groupon, etc), and it was not very user friendly, especially for trying to get appointments for two of us at the same time. I later found out that there is only one therapist. This was more involved than I wanted to deal with so I sent this information to Groupon and requested a refund which they agreed to do. I must add, as I said initially, since we were not able to schedule appointments that would fit our preferred times (all were in the middle of the day in the middle of the week), we never received any massage services. There are not any Yelp reviews to go by but the reviews on Groupon were mostly very positive. We may have to just drive to our previous place which was always easy to deal with, including by phone, and their massage services were excellent as well.
