Let me start by clarifying that I'm very satisfied with King Dermatology. However, it is their association with Mohs surgeon Dr Keane that concerns me. In 2023 I was diagnosed with a skin cancer on my cheek. Since I was leaving CA for a few months, I asked that the information be sent to my dermatologist in AR. I asked Dr King for a referral to a Mohs surgeon. I was referred to Dr Keane, and he performed the surgery on my cheek. I was not happy with the results. A prominent scar and bulge was evident on my cheek. When I addressed the issue with Dr Keane, he insinuated that I was being vain. When I returned to CA, my Dermatologist took one look at my scar and asked if the surgeon offered scar revision surgery. I said I'd never heard of it. So, I called and asked about scar revision. I was told, "no." There is much more to this story---including me filing a complaint with the Arkansas State Medical Board. But bottom line, he would do nothing to resolve the mutilation he left me with. My derm. In CA has done 3 laser resurfacing procedures on my cheek, and it looks much better. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. He might do okay on other parts of the body, but he does not show the proper concern for aesthetics in facial surgery. I would not give this man 1 But, I would give King Dermatology 5 stars. Thus the score above. read more

I went to King Dermatology and showed the doctor a spot I was concerned about. He said it was nothing. I decided to get a second opinion from a different group. It turned out to be melanoma! I had immediate surgery to remove it. I related this event to a friend who said the same thing happened to her. She pointed out a spot on her face that she was concerned about and was told it was nothing. She went to a different group, and it was basal cell carcinoma. I have never posted a bad review for a physician...but King Dermatology made mistakes that could have ended my life and caused a lot of damage to my friend's face if we had not gone for second opinions. Please be aware that this group is sloppy in their care. Do NOT trust them. read more

I have always had excellent treatment while at King Dermatology. They are educated and removed a growth from my shoulder and it didn't even scar. They know their stuff!!! read more

My wife was there today for a facial. The receptionist was immediately rude for no reason, so my wife left. Unfortunate to see small businesses run like this. She found a better spot to go nearby. read more

First appt with Dr. King he was disrespectful so I asked for Dr. Hammonds for the follow up and guess what...there was Dr. King! He did a semi-body check and told me that I have old skin and burned off some large growths that were nasty looking. A week before my next appt. they called me and said Dr. King was so busy they were changing me to the nurse practitioner, translation I was not a patient they were going to get more money from. At the appt. the NP was a broken record that I have old dry skin and she talked a mile a minute without doing the check I was there for. I finally got up and dressed and told her we couldn't all be young with perfect skin and she should do her job. Since when is age a deciding factor that you don't develop skin cancers that need a dermatologist's attention? Never ever again will I go to these arrogant people. read more

What an arrogant bunch of liars. Pulled the old bait and switch trick on me. I wanted a small cyst removed. I asked what it would cost and was told, in writing, that my insurance deductible was met and my cost would be $83.00. So I agreed to let Dr. Hammonds do it, paid the $83, and went home happy. Now I get a bill for $244 more. When I asked why, the billing woman told me that was to cover my insurance deductible which had not been met. I showed the her my paper with the $83 price. She told me that meant nothing. That my file showed I had been told verbally beforehand that the cost would be over $300. That is not true, so someone must have made a false entry after the fact. Then she would not let me talk to Dr. Hammonds, saying he had no saying in their billing practices. So, unless you have a big bank account or don't care what you'll be paying, stay away from these crooks. read more

King Dermatology.........I always liked the staff but over the last year I have had nothing but problems. Mostly from Karen Skinner. A staff member made a mistake with my insurance. I have asked Karen four times via written letter to process the insurance per the insurance companies instructions. Karen has refused to do so. She has sent me a few letters in the mail that were extremely unprofessional and rude.All she wanted to do was claim it was a he said/she said error. Yet it was a very simple fix. The last letter from them states she is "dismissing" me as a client because she claims I was verbally abusive when I called last week to speak to Dr. King himself. That's a lie! I was never verbally abusive to anyone on the phone. And I wasn't speaking to Karen any way. The last person I talked to was Donna. Donna was very nice, very apologetic about Karen's rude behavior. I told her twice it's not her fault, I just don't want to deal with Karen Skinner any more. She refused to do what the insurance company requested. Why was this so hard for her to understand and follow instructions. I hate to tell Karen, but because of her there was no way on this planet I was ever going to visit King Dermatology again. She totally wasted a stamp mailing such a ridiculous letter. So if you are considering visiting them, make sure you double check that they have your insurance correct because they will not accept any responsibility for human error. I really wish Dr. King would have called me, I doubt he even knows about this or got my message. Karen needs to be fired. She is very unprofessional and lacks respect in many ways. read more

So pleased to find a first class dermatologist in Arkansas, well worth a two hour drive. Professional, kind, and the results were better than what I have received in large, lauded practices. Will be a loyal customer, and am completely satisfied with fillers, botox, and other services. I've been to doctors worldwide, and King Dermatology does not disappoint. read more
