I showed up for my facial at 1050 to the paperwork for my 11am appointment. At 1107 the front desk person offered to put me in compressions because my aesthetician was running late. I asked how long and she said the current customer had a mask on and she just had to wipe it up and get her ready. I've had facials before and that was sounding like at least another 15-20 minutes which I did not have because I am in the middle of studying. I feel like if you show up early for your appointment then there should at least be the same courtesy of starting your appointment on time. read more

This is my favorite place to go for Cryo sessions! I've been to other places in the past, but I've always had a great and comfortable experience here at Restore. They start by putting you in an individual dressing room where they have you strip down to your underwear and place on a comfy robe, compression socks and slippers. Then you'll step out into the Cryo chamber room where they'll give you mittens and ear muffs and allow you to pick your favorite song to listen to while I'm the below-freezing arctic chamber. They can also lower the chamber window to your preference if you're not a fan of tight spaces like me. The staff is always super friendly and attentive. I've had unpleasant experiences elsewhere but after having done 5+ sessions here at Restore, I'm confident that you'll have a pleasant experience as well! read more

Restore Cryotherapy - River Oaks greatly exceeded my expectations! I happened to stumble upon this place because I needed to use my ClassPass credits at the end of the month. Dang am I glad I took the chance to try this place! I've only tried their compression therapy so far, but I look forward to coming back to try Cryotherapy. The compression therapy uses Normatec compression boots that completely cover your legs from upper thighs to toes. You sit on one of their comfortable compression couches and let it do it's work. The pressure is adjustable from 1-7, 7 being the strongest, 5 is about the average that they start you off on. I was pretty happy with the 6 setting. Only thing is I wish I tried the arm sleeves at the same time also. After my compression therapy session, my legs felt great! I had just done a heavy leg day the day before and my soreness was completely gone. I'm also a big runner as well so this was really needed to get a legs refresher. The whole evening I kept saying "it's okay, I am burning at least 500 calories from just 2 minutes of cryo." I went with a group of friends, the teens went first no problem, they smiled and chatted through the process. I barely made it, they laughed at me as I cried in the cryo. I was dying from frost bite. I got out of there swearing I would never do it again, but I also said that after child birth and I did that a few more times too. Now that a few hours have passed, I can say yeah let's do it. If you are having specific target areas maybe you should try the local cyrotherapy. This little machine can give you a pretty cool facial too! It has been how long since you had a massage? You need to fix that. The nail salon massage chair doesn't count. Make sure you try the shiatsu setting, it was my favorite. Starts at the buttocks and works itself all the way to the neck. I am writing this review before I leave the Restore wellness facility, because I want to MAKE SURE to pay tribute to "All Things Restore". Then to the Hip Compression, I suffer from mobility balance issues and use a cane as a stabilizer. All I can say is that after the treatment, I didn't need the cane!! I went in for an IV drip, my first time, and I told the person who inserted it that it still hurt after insertion. She got mad and refused to listen to me and kept telling me that since it's my first time, I am going to feel weird sensations. I asked her what to do since it actually hurt just like it did when she inserted the needle since she's the professional. Again, she repeated about sensations. I know the difference between pain and sensations, and it was straight pain where the insertion was. The friend I went with, said that only happened once to her and they switched arms and that I shouldn't feel pain. I asked about that and she just said, well let's put a heating pad on it. She absolutely refused to listen to me. And then when I finally did ask to switch arms, she was like, well you only have half a bagf left and we'll have to start a new bag. Like why was so upset with me, when she's the one who caused the pain?! She is NOT in my body and it hurt the entire time, but what am I supposed to do since I am at her mercy?! I left the compression on there for an hour afterwards like she told me to, but when I took off the bandage there was so much blood! Again, my friend said that never has happened to her and it's not normal. We sat in the parking lot afterwards and my friend was surprised about the way I was treated and expected her to be more empathetic.
