He will tell you this big outdated story about moving to the area for Chinese medicine practices or schooling; don't know which one because his story kept changing. Bull, bull, bull. Just a smoke screen and his attempt to look like an intellectual who wear coveralls and never shaves. He was supposed to refinish two pieces; neither was stripped or sanded. Both were sprayed with a lacquer. Since his shop is filthy, dust and dog hair got ingrained into the lacquer before it was dry. Nothing was done to the insides of the pieces, the back or the sides. Lazy, lazy, lazy and out for a quick buck. BEWARE THIS SHAM. Do not entrust your precious antiques or other furniture to him. He charged twice the amount necessary for each item - both to be done incompletely and not even to common and basic restoration standards. He likes to name-drop a lot - evident on his website and in person. All that was lost on me as I have no idea who all the "important people" were that he was talking about. Maybe he did restoration at some point in his life but his complete lack of ethics lost him that business so he thought he would take up refinishing. I have heard that this tactic is a common way to try to salvage a flailing business. The people currently fixing all the damage he did do my pieces just shake their heads in complete amazement to his "practices." He put a screw against 100 year-old glass to hold it in - of course it shattered the first time it was moved. It's a shame that the Tri-Cities has become a haven for this kind of person. The kind to which I refer are the ones who one day wake up and decide that they are an expert at something, whether it be lawn care, house cleaning, or furniture restoration and set out to fleece anyone in their path. When I tried to resolve this matter with Buddy Floyd he refused to communicate so all I am left to do is correct his mistakes at a high financial cost to myself and to warn others of him.

Then I walk in and see my clock has not left the building yet for repair after a week. She stated oh he was here yesterday to look at it. We couldn't call you because our lines aren't working correctly. So in other words they can't pick up any phone and call you to let you know about your item. Their business is open for business but yet they're unable to conduct business. I could not get my $20 back because it was not going towards any bill, because the clock had not been repaired. They can take the $20 and sit on it. Unfortunately they are going to run this business in the hole, something that Krause family has built up over decades.
