Thank you for your offer to redo the work, but when I expressed concerns after your initial repair, that would have been the time to discuss alternative approaches. At the time you left me with that was just the way it was because of the way light is refracted. I tried to ignore it but it leaps out at you every time you walk by. It is much worse than it was before and 4 times larger. I hired another company to come out and see what they could do. Although their repair still isn't perfect, it is significantly less noticeable. At this point, I don't feel confident that another attempt would achieve the results I would like.

I worked with Tom at Furniture Restore and More to restore a vintage Plycraft chair and ottoman I…read morehad received as a gift. When I received the chair it was in rough condition with extensive water damage to the ottoman. Tom took great care in repairing, replacing, and restoring the wood, and fixing up the metal parts on the chair. He was clear and honest about the cost and the time it would take. Due to the water damage to the ottoman, Tom had to completely re-veneer that and recreate the wood at the foot. In addition, he removed, sanded, and sealed the metal parts which had been rusted. For the chair, he stripped the old finish, refinished the veneer and fixed the damage throughout. I could not be more pleased with the end result. It's obvious that Tom takes great pride in his work. I would not hesitate to return to Furniture Restore and More for future projects. *Note that the upholstery was completed elsewhere. We took in 8 cushions to have new foam placed in them on August 2nd. We choose the density we…read morewanted and we're told to bring in 2 cushions to use for a pattern and they would cut them and verify they fit and they would have all 8 cushions ready by August 5th. I did not hear from them so called on Monday August 8th and was told they would have them ready by Thursday August 11th. We did not hear from them so on August 12th we explained this was our only seating source and we needed them. We were told we could pick them up at 10:30 am but that did not happen. It was only after our persistent insistence that we received them that evening by 5:45. Beware! If they tell you a specific time and date it probably won't happen. We showed up on 2 occasions as they said they would be there and they were not! Not a way to do business or have repeat customers. We found them in an mail advertisement for their services and should have done our homework first- thus this this review!

Went all over town trying to find a furniture company that would cut new foam. No one does it but Alexander's. Just call before going as the main business is in El CaJon. Very nice owner. Reasonable price. Love my cuhions!!!
