After years of yo yo dieting, I had given up on myself and weight ballooned up to close to 350 pounds. When I called Sheryl, my eating was completely out of control. I needed someone to help me to gain control of my eating habits and my weight. Sheryl's approach was much different than the other plans I had tried before. During our first session she spent two hours asking me what I ate daily and designed a plan around the foods I liked to eat. Yes, you still need to eat nutritional foods to lose weight, but thankfully you aren't restricted to carrots and lettuce. :). There are no prepacked foods, or shots necessary to start to lose weight on Sheryl's plan. After a short time on the plan, I stopped craving the foods that sends my eating out of control. I also found it easy to get back on the plan on few occasions when I strayed. I read that the overgrowth can go systemic, into the bloodstream and into organs. I never mentioned in my original post that I had recently had a horrible sore throat that seemed to go into my esophagus - never had anything like this before - and it wasn't going completely away. Trouble swallowing. Medical doctor did bloodwork and I was negative for Covid antibodies. I am convinced that the patch in my lung is from the candida, which can cause pneumonia. In addition I do not want to take anti-fungal drugs so I am following a strict protocol of attempting to eliminate the overgrowth. Dr. Jim told me the foods I was allowed to eat and that it could take a number of weeks to get my body back to where it should be. So I am sticking this out because he said: "If you think what you have now is bad, it's only going to get worse if you don't stop it." In addition, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Jim Di Blasi. Under the previous team, the nurse practitioners and weight-loss counselors were knowledgeable, engaged, and genuinely coached you through the program. They understood the weekly metrics/results, could explain them clearly, and offered specific, practical adjustments based on your progress. You also received a welcome kit (tote, mixing cup, etc.), and basic tools like food logs were provided without extra charges. Now, the experience feels rushed and surface-level. The current staff relies heavily on scripted conversations and does not seem equipped to interpret weekly results or provide meaningful, individualized guidance. On top of that, items that were previously included (like food logs) are now an added cost, and overall materials/support look cheaply pared down. To be clear: the program itself can work. But the knowledgeable guidance and accountability that made it effective at this location are no longer there. I would not spend my money here based on my current experience. It's so disappointing. The counselors and nurse practitioner don't seem to have completed or followed the program themselves, and it makes the coaching feel less credible.
