The atmosphere was uplifting but not obnoxious. Very nice waiting area too with comfy couches and chairs. I showed Carol a picture of the color I was looking for and the cut I wanted. I tried to find Lisa, but was unsuccessful. SO, I needed to find someone else to "do" my hair. I did, and the result was the HAIRSTYLE FROM HELL!!!!! Ugh, my hair was a disaster - the color was all wrong and the cut was even worse! So, I lived with it for a few days and simply couldn't take it any more (neither could my husband!). So, last night, in desperation, I tried to find someone who could "fix" the problem. I found Renee at Sundance! She is an angel! First of all, Sundance has an online appt. booking system, so, no matter what time of day or night, you can make an appt. - It is soooo easy! Secondly, the place is simply terrific...a nice atmosphere - not caddy or noisy...just a relaxing place to spend some time. Chatter is relaxed and comfortable. Renee actually LISTENED to what I wanted done and she came up with some great suggestions which, in essence, saved my hair (and probably my marriage!) I left there feeling validated, pampered and pretty....what more can you ask for! FYI - they have a massage therapist, manicurist, etc. all on staff - this is a WONDERFUL, holistic salon!

Tips- One down fall was that parking was tricky, so I suggest you park right in the back where Max Fish is to avoid getting caught in the square. I have a wedding this weekend and didn't know what to do. Got a last minute appointment with Jen and I am so thrilled I did. I was just looking for my hair to not be as yellow, since I didn't think anyone could fix it in one appointment. Jen took out the yellow tiger stripes and blotchy spots, and gave me the most beautiful and natural looking highlights. My hair has dimension and is super shiny again. Seriously, she worked some magic :) I'm so happy I finally found a salon in CT! And the prices here are super reasonable. I should note, Ashley is fabulous as well. It's such a cool vibe in the salon. Many smiles and chatter with clients and hairdressers. There's a nail room here as well. I think there are many regulars. The salons is very clean and tidy. Very modern chic decor. It is in an office building with ample parking. The only complaint I do have is the stairs for entrance making it not ADA friendly. However, sitting in the waiting area I see a "back door" and maybe that's ADA entrance but I'm not sure. I highly recommend this establishment. We love Alex and all of the staff we've encountered have been very kind and friendly.
