Not a great place to shop to be honest. There are better stores in the area. Staff is unhelpful and sometimes insulting.

I have mixed feelings about this store. I love to see new stores opening up on Main Street (i.e.,…read morestores other than loan sharks, gun dealers, and thrift shops), but I can't see how this one is going to make it. Lots of cutsy, pricey stuff--handpainted wine goblets and martini glasses, candles, fashionista reindeer decorations. The kind of place to browse but not to lay out hard-earned cash, imo. On the other hand, maybe I'm just not the ideal customer.

We figured this store looked decent enough from the outside, so we wandered in to see if we could purchase a few pieces of furniture that would follow a certain theme. To our dismay, we were browsing their merchandise for more than ten minutes before someone decided to acknowledge our existence. An older woman waltzes out, smelling of alcohol and obviously drunk. After a few off color remarks and another visit to the back room, she returned to tell us the prices of a few of their items. Completely unreasonable prices for such low quality material, in my opinion. My wife is an interior decorator and I own a moving business, so we've seen our fair share of furniture. The paint was already chipping off of some of the overly gaudy wooden furniture...and the nails were already coming out of some of it. The trinkets on display held extremely outrageous prices. The store seemed to me like an expensive and much smaller version of Pier 1 Imports which didn't do too well in Longmont to begin with. Add to that the rude proprietor who seemed to be more interested in drinking than helping customers...well, you make the call. Maybe I didn't look rich enough for them.... But as for my wife and I, we'll never go back to that store again.

Cheese Importers is a Colorado family-owned business founded in 1976. They offer natural, organic,…read moreand imported cheeses, cured meats, specialty oils, spices, olives, chocolate, and other unique specialty foods. They also have wonderful French & Italian food items, and kitchen and dining ware. There are children's gifts, beeswax candles, gift wrap, gorgeous jigsaw puzzles, glassware, French table linens, aprons, and much, much more. It is worth the experience to visit this extraordinary shop! The building was formerly the Power & Communications Building, which Cheese Importers took over in 2012. The shop is gorgeous, and the buyers are fantastic, stocking it with so many beautiful items that you will not easily find in other shops or online. The staff is friendly and informative. The prices are very high, and I don't recommend buying items you can find in your local grocery store or gift shop, but if you find interesting, unique, and beautiful items that you love, then it is worth spending the money, in my opinion. This is a great place to find exceptional gifts, especially for someone who likes to entertain. Must take home a fresh French baguette and some caramels! There is a parking lot in the rear of the building.

But the market feel, the variety, the customer service, patio, cute atmosphere, selection, and warm baguettes made it quite the experience. We were impressed and I would drive all the way from Littleton to experience it again. We basically built ourselves a little picnic and sat outside on the patio to enjoy it all. Bring your own plates, utensils if you plan on doing what we did. We made do with the plastic knives and napkins from the bakery, but it would have been better if we came more prepared. Lovely.

The handmade furniture here was really beautiful and of good quality, but I have no need for any of it now. However the store has many small items from home decor pieces to inexpensive jewelry that are handmade and quite nice. There was a broad variety of styles too and I saw a cute little ring that my husband treated me to. It was fun in the store too, with very friendly staff.

We were very sad about our prospects until we met Lee at Boulder Furniture Arts. The clouds parted, and we became happy again (and this is not literary hyperbole, I promise you). Lee took a lot of time with us, discussing exactly what we wanted and how we could make it fit within our price range, and we exchanged many e-mails. Throughout the entire process, he's been thoughtful and very friendly. The result is that we've ordered two gorgeous, eco-friendly solid cherry desks at reasonable prices, and we're both tickled pink at how our office is going to look. He really did make us incredibly happy with his excellent service and attentiveness to our needs, and we enthusiastically recommend Boulder Furniture Arts for that reason. Don't waste your money buying particleboard furniture made in China--go talk to the fine folks at this wonderful store, and you'll be thrilled at what you end up with.
