Required to hand over items, searched and experience with rude and untrained security staff who are armed. Scary interaction just to go bowling on a Friday night with children. A cool hangout place for adults, kids, and in between. The drinks are reasonably priced. There's ace throwing, laser tag, bowling, an arcade, and more. We went for the arcade. They have a good variety of games. Only complaint is the $25 hour of play video game pass excludes a ton of games. That's not posted anywhere and we learned when we tried to swipe the card and got denied on games. The front desk made it right and swapped it for regular play (with just funds) at our request. Everything gets a second chance under circumstances. Years ago, I had a terrible time here. This time, it was actually a lot better. So what was it that pulled me back? Believe it or not it wasn't the free bowling (shoe rental not included.) this time. It was actually trivia! So many fun categories to choose from! My team attended Stranger Things and the Office trivia. The host was awesome and during this Revel and Roll staff waited on us. I was actually impressed seeing how far this location has come. Unlike before. They now have Axe throwing, Laser Tag, and their menu is bigger for sure! I had their almost loaded fries and those were SO good! The lanes have never been waxed, the balls were all chipped, they played the same garbage songs the entire night. All of the staff was super rude and unhelpful. By the time we got to the arcade every game had terrible cash out and if you did manage to win anything it would be cheap plastic or expired candy. If there was any staff to actually bring us food I imagine that would also be stale, but we were fortunate enough to never had staff take our order. This is the most expensive bowling ally around for the worst bowling experience you can ask for. read more

Where do I start...... The worst customer service experience I have ever had. The bartenders were not only unwelcoming they were downright rude! When I asked them if we could get service after our table and another had been sitting for over 5 minutes without someone even acknowledging us the bartender was completely rude in her response. After asking and still receiving no service we decided to leave. While walking out the bartender decided to clap that we were leaving while screaming across the restaurant at me. This is probably my favorite bowling alley. Everything is spaced out so nicely so you never feel crowded. The bar is really nice and spacious. I'm not even joking, these were the cleanest bowling shoes I've ever seen. What is really fun about bowling here is: you take photos of yourself with a couple different expressions and when you are bowling, your photos will be used in silly animations that react to the scores on the screen. The staff was super friendly on arrival and our waitress was very prompt and checked on us numerous times. $14 for 4 fountain beverages seems a little high but the atmosphere and state of the lanes is the best I've seen in town. The place was empty at 6pm on a Friday night. We had a great time bowling and the kids loved the interactive screen with the little videos of them bowling. They had a nice set up for kids with bumpers and a little bowl walker thing for kids that can't throw a ball yet. The game room is small. The kids had fun but if the game card wasn't included in what we purchased I wouldn't buy one. The laser tag was disappointing. There wasn't much interaction like at others places we have played and the game area was so large you could hide and never get hit if not playing with tons a people. I would not do the laser tag here again. The food was pretty decent though expensive for what you got. read more

They keep it HOT so you can't stand to be inside, regardless of how much you payed to bowl "until midnight" so you desperately need to step outside for some sweet relief but they won't let you back in after 11. We have been to Revel and Roll a few times and have great experiences and not so good ones. Today's visit was great. We were there right when they opened on Saturday at 11am. It was not busy, we quickly got a lane, food service was fast and attentive. On other occasions it's been so busy, the lane wait was 2 hours, or it has been hard to track down a server. Hopefully today's visit was because they now have a good working staff and not because it was a slow Saturday. Revel and Roll is much closer to us then Airway so we hope that it inky keeps on improving. The video game area is fun and offers something for everyone. The man working the axe throwing station was super attentive and helpful to give us tips on what we could improve on. Expect to drop a ton of cash here! Nice place with lots to do but very EXPENSIVE! We spent $70 for just the bowling for a family of five for 2 hours and that's not even including food and drink. The quality of the food was good. We got chips and salsa and the chips had a really good seasoning on them. We also had the poutine fries which were really good but our first order came out with no gravy because they ran out. They made us another order with gravy and sent it out. That's one of the best parts of the poutine fries.....you can't send them out without the gravy!!! Service was pretty good. read more

Hear me out...I was a bit skeptical of this "new and improved" seemingly glorified bowling alley but was happily surprised at what I found. The place is so beautiful and spotless! It was like walking into an entirely different venue. Long, pretty bar area and seating, clean bathrooms that are nicely lit, brand new ENORMOUS video games... I am almost afraid when we get nice things around here, as we are not always careful with nice things. Food was even good! (I ordered fish tacos, decent, and husband ordered burger, also decent...just a *hair* expensive, but worth it, imo) We ordered two drinks comparable to most places, and were both pleased. TV's everywhere, for the sports fans, and cool prize store, where, if one were inclined, you could win a Keurig. Great place for both adult and kid fun. Thursdays bowling special, $12, and half off games on Tuesdays. There's an enormous area for laser tag, which was closed when we went, but looked very cool. This entertainment hub is located in the spot where the old Pinz bowling alley was, so parking situation is the same. First impressions though were stellar! Walking in, my first thoughts were that they had indeed invested in seriously revamping the interior! It looks great! Definitely has an upscale-casual vibe. The layout is very open and inviting. The entrance opens into an area with very fancy wooden pool tables, leading to the long slinky bar. Just to the right of there is the eating lounge. It was our first trip to R & R so we opted to eat first. The staff was very friendly & accommodating. Of course it was a Tuesday night & the restaurant was empty besides us, but still. Great table service. The beer selection was pretty diverse. I saw many familiar names and also some I'd never heard of before. The menu was a fancier version of a typical higher-end bar menu as far as content, with a couple non-standard items added. I ended up going with a grilled cheese with ham & Gouda, with onion rings and Tomato Bisque. The food presentation was pretty spot on. The portion sizes were pretty generous. The grilled cheese was stuffed full of ham & cheese and tasted very fresh. The onions rings (although we were told they from frozen. +1 for her honesty) were tasty & crunchy. The bisque was...well.. interesting. It wasn't like any bisque I've ever had previously. It was more like a bowl of marinara sauce. That being said, it was still pretty good and went well with the sandwich. They also have limited dessert options off menu, so ask :) The bowling section was pretty spiffy looking as well. The lanes looked top notch and each lane had a well apportioned seating area with nearby hi-top tables and stools. Much smaller amount of lanes available as they devoted a chunk of that space to the arcade. Prices for bowling was $24.95/hr not including shoe rental which is a tad pricey for my tastes but that's just me. There were several families enjoying a night of bowling. To the left of the bowling area is the arcade, which immediately begs comparison to Dave & Busters arcade. From the location of the redemption shop to the way the games are displayed you can tell where R & R got their inspiration. It is a lot smaller the D & B's arcade, I'd say about a 3rd of the size, but they have a good selection of games of all types. They also have a laser tag arena that we were able to tour. It's pretty neat what they could fit into a small area. Lots of hidey holes and sniper windows! And it's priced pretty well at $7 per person. I can see the gang from work doing this in the near future. Overall Revel & Roll West is a great addition to Kzoo entertainment landscape and I hope it will be successful! I've visited this place on two occasions; the first time being very, very crowded. I showed up with a group of friends and we ended up leaving due to the lack of lanes open so make sure you check ahead or get there at a decent time. The second time I went there with my s/o and we got a kane right away and had a blast, there were bussers to come pick up your plates or empty drinks and they offered more for us. (I thought that was pretty neat that we didn't need to leave the game to get a drink.) I believe they offer other time-passing activities like an arcade or a black light bowl however I'm not 100% certain as I've only experienced drinks and bowling! We booked my son's birthday party here and it worked out great. Lauren, the events coordinator, was extremely easy to work with and promptly responded to all my requests and was willing to customize the party plans for us. The separate bowling area was perfect, the kids thought that was very cool. The pizza was great and she let us bring in our own cake without charging us extra. Throughout the party, Lauren was attentive and checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed. This was our first time here. The updated venue is great, compared to the previous Pinz bowling alley. Seems like a cool place with all the games and attractions. The bowling aspect of it was awesome. Unlimited bowling for 12 bucks a person. Great deal. The service however left a lot to be desired. We didn't know each lane had a specific server because no one showed up for the first half hour we were there. We had to ask a manager and finally some of us even went up to directly order drinks from the bar. Even after the manager came up and apologized and handed us cards with funds in them for games, service never improved. Drinks were constantly going empty, said empty glasses were never picked up and our server was no where to be found for the majority of the time. We had a lot of fun! We ate first in the Legends restaurant. Service by our waitress Cari was excellent! The food was delicious. We each got a "combo" meal that comes with a game card, and then opted to add an extra $10 to the game card for an extra $5. Our total with a tip was $60 for food and two $20 game cards to use in the arcade. The food was delicious! My boyfriend had the burger, and I had chicken strips. Both were great and so were the fries. After dinner, we headed over to the arcade. Prices were comparable to the Airway Lanes arcade. The arcade reminded us of Dave & Buster's, but on a smaller scale. There were still a lot of games and variety, and we had a blast! The place looked amazing and a lot of work went into it. * It's a big place with lots of open space. The bowling area was busy with kids and families on a Saturday afternoon, but I am curious how this place fills out in the evenings at the bar in the front. It seems so far from the action of the lanes and arcade. The bowling area is very nice and comfortable, with an upscale feel with couches and coffee tables. * Wasn't impressed with the service. There was 1 family ahead of me in line to get lanes. There was 1 person working the counter and I waited far too long while they all got situated. And then I was finally helped and the guy at the desk didn't how to use my coupon so he had to call a manager over to help. * If there are servers available at the lanes, you wouldn't know it. (are there?) There were menus on the table, but never once in an over an hour did a server stop by our lane of 4 adults to ask if we needed anything. * When a place hasn't been open for very long, I wish the employees would be a bit more forward about telling what the place has to offer. Welcome me, ask if I've been here before. Tell me about the menu, where to order drinks, tell me about the arcade, in fact, why not try and up-sell me to buy an arcade card? I left here without knowing much more about this place than when I walked in - it's a bowling alley and they have other 'stuff'. * The best part that sets this alley apart from others, is the scoring screens on the lanes. When you put in the names of the bowlers, it asks you to take a few funny pics of your face and then plugs your face into various cartoon bodies and funny scenes. It's called YOU-Toons.
