I can't begin to describe how incredibly grateful I am to Autumn for the gentleness she showed my dad while helping declutter his house. Autumn took time away from her friends and family on a holiday weekend to help my dad and I clean his house after 35 years of hoarding and saving; what had to be; every receipt he and my mom ever received. This was not an easy job considering the emotional attachment we had to some of these things but Autumn provided some tough love to help us get things down to a manageable level. I know my dad will sleep easier and be more relaxed in his home without the clutter he was surrounded by. Growing up with hoarder parents I experienced shame that I couldn't have friends over to visit. My parents stopped hosting family parties due to the amount of stuff that took over their house. I'm looking forward to spending the next holiday at his house to celebrate and enjoy the fresh start this has given him. read more
