We needed a day of coordinator but what we got was so much more. My fiance (now husband) and I thought we had everything taken care of with the exception of the final details. We had already booked the DJ, hair & makeup, the venue, had our invitations sent out.... what more was there to do??? How little we knew.... Alexa's organization and expertise blew us away. We filled out a number of online surveys so that she could make sure that she had every last detail taken care of. Everything from the rehearsal dinner, to the order that our family members would walk down the aisle, to who we wanted photos with (and who we didn't), toast speeches, what songs we wanted played and when, EVERYTHING was addressed and on the day of our wedding, she made sure that neither one of us had to worry about a thing. She attended so many of our meetings with our venue (even though we had a coordinator at the venue) and had an answer for us every time a minor dilemma or problem surfaced. Alexa also provided a number of helpful suggestions for seating charts, cards, first dance moment, re-use of floral arrangements to save money and so much more. I could tell you about how intuitive she is or how quick she was to respond (which is probably my biggest pet peeve when working with people). Or how on my wedding day, she was invaluable and handled everything with class, ease and a level of professionalism that is rarely seen. It was great to pick up the phone and make an appointment. The vendors knew who I was and that I was a Wedgewood Palm Valley bride. We used all of Wedgewood Palm Valley's vendors. DJ Damian kept the dance floor full and played the music we requested. Janice with Blooming Bouquets made beautiful center pieces for the reception. She also did the all the floral for the wedding party. Everything was beautiful. The cupcake tower was provided by Pixy Cakes and was great. We decided to have a photo booth and it was a great hit, thank you Brittany was creating the photo album with all the pictures. We decided to use Memories by Karen as well. We were held up at the hotel for a weekend of fanciful events put on by the team of awesomeness that is Maxine Bloom, and it didn't take long for my apathy to turn to fervor. I tried to blame the AZ heat, but it was obviously Caily & Candice. Long story short, from the initial "hello's" at the hoedown, to the reception, followed up with Monday morning bloody's and hugs goodbye, there was truly not a glitch to report. Not a complaint to be made. The best, unmistakably heartwarming memory upon my departure, were the ear to ear smiles adorning all the faces, including the bride and groom. We were truly impressed and inspired by how smoothly the weekend went. They seem to have this down to a T, and more importantly, they obviously love the work. Great planners begot great memories. Starting a few weeks before the wedding, we handed over our plans to her and she reviewed everything and asked questions to make sure she know what we wanted. Her years of experience made her an excellent advisor on the last minute details, and there were at least two or three things we wouldn't have thought to plan for, but she knew. Here's an example of why she is great: what if your bartender thought the end time was 10pm, but we thought it was 11pm? And, by the way, it's 9:45 and they want to do last call. Tara is right there - she knew this was about to happen because the bartender had been coordinating with her all night, she knew our plan was 11pm, and so she approached us very calmly and quietly and asked if we meant to close it at 10pm. We said no, we thought it was 11pm and people were still having fun, so could we keep it open until 10:30 or 11 as planned? Off she went off and took care of it without another word or input from us. It took us seconds, not minutes of negotiating with the bartender, so we could get back to partying. All night, she kept track of time, kept track of vendors, set up those final details we didn't have time to setup, and many, many other unseen things we may never know about. At the end of the night, she had everything we were taking with us packed up, including leftover food and cake, so when the driver called her to say he was ready for us, she could let us know. When we were ready, she made sure we got the things we wanted to take and off we went. Throughout the whole day, we had nothing to worry about except enjoying the wedding. It was one of the best decisions we made, and I would do it again no matter our budget!

She handled a last minute change in DJ beautifully. The rehearsal went smoothly and she was able to take the decorations the night before in her truck. She understood where the decorations went and made the event beautiful with the flowers, and lit the candles. We had trouble with too much moisture on the bottom deck of our wedding cake and it collapsed! Tara rearranged the cake and basically redecorated it with my toppers along with my sister to still make it look beautiful last minute! And there was still cake left over. She helped with clean-up and last minute arrangements with the vendors. She had recommendations for saving money. Thanks Tara for making it special!
