Unfortunately, Laura Miller, the owner of this company, has repeatedly shown a fundamental hostility to how the secondary market works, paired with unacceptable professional boundaries. In one instance, items that originated as consignments from her were accurately represented and sold via an open, public auction. I bid openly against the market, lost most lots, and fairly won a few. When I subsequently listed those items in my retail store for more than my auction purchase price--at their true fair market value--she initiated drama and made baseless accusations of unethical conduct, seemingly resentful that a reseller realized the value she failed to capture for her own consignor. Her behavior recently escalated from unprofessional to covert interference. She reached out directly to a third-party client connected to another company my husband consults for, seemingly attempting to insinuate foul play regarding legally purchased inventory. Despite knowing exactly who I am and being well aware of my store from our prior interactions, she feigned complete ignorance to the client to manufacture controversy behind my back. Fortunately, the client was reasonable, recognized the bad-faith and shared the message with me. It is unsettling that a grown adult is spending valuable time tracking my actions. -Brittany
