This is a warning to everyone out there. This agency is just starting out and in my opinion not…read moregetting any better. When I first met with the owners they made a lot of promises to me and they never once kept their word. I had to go through about 8 or 9 aids and they would just end up firing them or replacing them. The promised me that they were going to assign a nice guy to help me well, I had him for about 3 weeks and they moved him to a new client. Then they sent me other people who they ended up firing or they would replace them after two or three weeks. I finally got fed up and terminated their services. You cannot trust these people. I used to be with Help at Home but got tired of their abuse but they would be a lot better than this agency. Again DO NOT USE THEM.

It's great that there is no long term contract and we weren't required to pay for a minimum number of hours per week. They only billed us for when they actually came in. Mom really enjoyed all the caregivers who came to see her. It allowed her to stay independent for a little longer. I would strongly recommend Amada for anyone who needs a little extra help. Ignite was great in the beginning. My dad spent 2 weeks in rehab. There were hiccups but I…read moreoverlooked them because they were short staffed. He moved to assisted living. I have weeks of texts from myself and the director Marjorie asking to please provide food my dad can eat. She swore it would be taken care of but it wasn't. All he wanted was grilled cheese and soup. I had to buy him food because they wouldn't give him food he would eat. Can't get rid of the fruit flies or gnats or whatever they are. Room is not cleaned. We brought silverware from home and put it in a drawer for him and it was taken. His room phone has never worked. So he's been in hospice for the last month or so. They threw his denture away. Sure it was accidental but they won't do anything about it. They said because he's in assisted living that they are not responsible. My dad can't even lift himself to put his teeth on the tray table but they said that's what he did. Now that he has no teeth...NOW they bring him grilled cheese!! Which he cannot eat. So I had to buy him oatmeal and soup and things he can eat. This man has lived his entire life being good to others. Hes a veteran, a Legionnaire, and a Mason. And this is how he is treated. I have many more texts about the care he didn't receive. I always believed they were trying and I'm not the demanding sort of person. There are a few really special people...like Arnie and Miley and Jasmine... they really try their best. Sadly, this facility puts money over doing the right thing when they make a mistake. Go elsewhere.

He has dementia and does hassle you but you give up so easy to not take him to therapy so he may be able to walk again after his fall in April Do you bill medicare for therapy? I believe you did whether he got it or not. Did I not request finger food for him and he would have soup, mashed potatoes etc and make a huge mess. Did they ever clean the rooms they we so ugly and dirty. The more drugs they can give them to make the Zombies and bill medicare for, the better for them. Sarah was a caring nurse and he had a nice nurse thats name started with a T that understood dementia but for the most part no one cared!!!!!! I was lied to a few times there which made me very upset. I learned real quick it was all about the $$$$$$ not the care of the patient or concerns of the family. They could wait to get him out of there because he wasnt the perfect bed ridden patient. I wanted him out of his be each day. Maybe it was me they wanted to get rid of because I expected way better care than he got and I always was asking why things werent done to help him and treat him like they cared. I could not recommend this caregiving service. I had this service for a year for my 90 something…read moredad. Only one caregiver was attentive and caring. My dad was not attended to properly. He was called "old fart" by a caregiver. Caregivers would sit or take care of their needs before my Dad's. I had to call a plumber twice since the caregivers did not follow my directions. I had a few medical emergencies and the caregivers made the situation more difficult instead of helpful. The owner accused me saying it was my fault the caregivers did not work out. One caregiver had her children taken away from her. Another one would come to my house in an angry agitated state because of her boyfriend. The owner does not like complaints and ignores them. The caregivers were poorly trained. I had to do most of the work. Find a more caring agency.

The stress of caring for Mom and working full time was overwhelming my sister (I live further away making it difficult for me to help as much). We interviewed three agencies and were instantly impressed with Brightstar. Jean, the owner was professional, open, and made us feel she was truly listening and understood our issues. One of the other agencies was over 30 minutes late for the initial interview (with no phone call). We were assigned Gwen. She is amazing! She is extraordinarily kind, patient, and reliable. I wish we could have her 7 days a week-she only works 3 of our days (11am-7pm). She has become mom's friend as well as caregiver. She ensures mom is stimulated mentally, physically active, fed, cared for, showered, etc. She brushes and curls her hair. She takes her for walks, rides in the car, reads with her, plays word games, and talks to her. The caregiver we have the other days of the week is also very kind, reliable and caring. She is a little less assertive than Gwen and lets Mom manipulate her into letteing her be lazy, but she also provides excellent care. We are now going to move to 7 day/week care and I hope that our secondary caregivers will be just like Gwen. They aren't the least expensive, but they are the best! Highly recommend.
