I was offered a complimentary mini Jet Peel before my IPL by the owner of the salon. Wow! although it was only a demonstration, it lasted for approx. 5 mins as opposed to a full treatment which lasts much longer, I believe it really made a difference. My skin looks more hydrated and clearer than it has in a long time and even though its been a week since my appointment, my skin still looks great. I ended up purchasing the Venus Fractional service and could not be happier with the results. I went to Revive for IPL facial treatment for the dark spots on my face. I purchased a package of 3 treatments from Groupon. All 3 treatments failed miserably, not even one single dark spot faded. Deb was friendly & she offered 2 more treatments free of charge. unfortunately 2 more treatments failed again. I made two trips to Revive before actual treatment began which I think was wasted of time & unnecessary. They did not even offer at least partial refund. For my first time, I went to Revive Med Spa for an IPL treatment (purchased from Groupon-great deal; btw) to rid myself of broken capillaries and a little sun damage caused from outdoor jogging in the summer. I saw laser tech, Jaycee. She's the best. The treatment worked! No more broken capillaries or freckles! Jaycee's extremely knowledgeable with lasers and its capabilities. After the IPL treatment, I went back to Jaycee for laser skin tightening; which I love! My skin looks awesome, so clear, tightened and refreshed looking. I purchased 8 treatments, and stopped after six. This was one of the worst 'spas' i have ever been to. Every time i was there they had no idea what i was getting done, how many treatments i had left, or even what services i was getting. It was like the chart they had on me was useless. They tried to rip me off two treatments because of their unorganization, and I had to pull up my credit card statement to prove to them that I paid for 8 treatments. Not so sure about this place...Had my very first Dysport appt today. Scheduled with a Groupon of $240/For 60units of Dysport. When I went up to pay, girl at counter said $299. I was vastly confused. She said that Kathleen (woman who did my injections) told her to "Honor Groupon of $299/with the IPL Facial" In those exact words in fact. I certainly didn't get a facial of any kind? This being my first ever appt with facial injections of any kind, I'm assuming that she thought she could "JIP", or Totally take advantage of me being new to this and all. Which is really pretty awful. My friend has same service fine right after me, and she was charged the Correct Groupon Amount. She is also No Rookie when it comes to facial injections. Go Figure? Smh. The environment itself, was vastly disorganized and almost seemed a bit chaotic. Just wasn't as relaxing as this type of appt should be. So much for my first experience being a good one. She discussed a different treatment that she thought my skin would benefit more from and made sure what she gave me was of equal value. I purchased a laser hair removal package for a Brazilian. It was a series of six treatments with Deb. I only ended up with four sessions and made the decision not to return. My one star review is based on a few different reasons. The first being constant miscommunications. Every time I went in for my appointment they had the number treatment I was on wrong. The second time I came, "so this is your fourth treatment?" "No, my second" and what are you having done? All the while my chart is right in front of her. This leads me to believe they don't keep good records or take notes on their clients. Deb was nice enough but again like the front desk never knew was I was there for. "You are here for a facial right?" "Ummm no,laser." Literally every time I was there. Also I want to mention these laser treatments were a touch up. I already had 8 treatments at another place and still had about 30% of hair remaining. They use a Venus laser, these treatments did absolutely nothing for my remaining hair. No reduction...nothing. I brought this up to Deb at my third appt and she said she would turn up the laser a little. After my third and fourth treatment I was left with hyperpigmentation and again no change in amount of hair. I never hyper-pigmented before and I am an ideal candidate or laser with light skin tone with dark hair. Needless to say even though I have two remaining treatments, I will never return and now I have to figure out how to treat the hyperpigmentation. And for the record even if they offered to treat the hyperpigmentation I would decline because now they have lost my trust. read more
