During my consultation Dr. Marilou patiently discussed all of my questions and addressed my concerns. She made me feel comfortable and reviewed how she would address each issue. At the end of the consultation, she told me that, since cauterization would be very painful, I should try a home treatment first. She carefully wrote every step and included the prescription too. After seeing me, I was expecting a hefty sum to pay for the consultation. So, I was very surprised when her assistant told me that I only had to pay Php500. She is professional, informed, and always concerned for my health (even my life outside of the clinic). My visits are always medical rather than cosmetic. All treatments have always been based on a thorough examination. Also, I have never felt rushed; Dra. Reena and her staff have always taken whatever time was necessary for my procedures. Dra. Reena is a very hands on doctor and makes sure that she is the one doing all surgeries or procedures. My most recent appointment with her was actual just supposed to be a check-up. But, after seeing me, she said that they needed to perform a cauterization right there! The procedure, though very painful because it was done on the palm of my hand, was done a fast and precise as possible. Antibiotics and an ointment to help with the healing process were both provided in house which was convenient because it saved me a trip to the pharmacy. The next day, I received a call and text message from Dra. Reena herself to follow up on how I was feeling and asked if I had any questions or concerns. All in all, I would highly recommend this clinic for both medical and cosmetic procedures. :)

The appearance of this clinic is completely at odds with its housing. The entrance to the building isn't exactly spotless, and the elevator is cramped, but upon entering CaraDERMe one is greeted with a rush of aircon, immaculate white sofas, tasteful decor, and friendly staff. The waiting room is larger and much more comfortable compared to many other doctors I've visited. (Maybe I just haven't been going to the right ones?) And, very important to my fellow women, the toilets are clean and always stocked with tissue. Dr. Rose Gatmaytan is the one who performs all cosmetic and medical procedures on clients. She works at a steady pace and without mistakes, very crucial skills to have when you're poking at someone's face or body with mysterious instruments. Across her desk she's also patient with customers who ask about procedures, medications, or general queries that deal with prevention. Between the treatments in-clinic and the medicine provided to keep my skin under control in between check ups, I've seen a massive improvement! No more zits and only a couple of dark scars are left. Disclaimer: I've only had acne surgery (something I hope none of you ever have to experience) and silk peels so I can't speak for the other procedures the clinic offers, from lipo to skin tucks to removing unwanted hair.
