honestly had the best time! I wasn't sure if a rowing class was "me," but this place is so much more than that. I loved the themed workout, and even though the music wasn't my usual go-to, it totally worked for the vibe of the class. The staff is top-notch--the woman at the front desk was so welcoming and took the time to suggest my next class. Had the opportunity to join a class through a Yelp event and it was perfect. Timing is great - getting ready for summer! Enjoyed the class, energy, people, owner, instructors AND a clean beautiful space! They have multiple types of classes that encompass rowing (of course) - Strength / Restore (think yoga and rowing combo) so a mix for everyone. The instructor gave me some tips since it was my first time and I appreciate it. Came to a free row class and it was great! I am not a gym person and definitely not a gym class person! And I have to say, this was fun! The energy was great, I didn't feel pressured to compete with those around me and I did not feel judged. I had a great experience. The owner checked me in and gave me the run down. The bathrooms were sparkling clean. They had a water refill station and a nice little waiting area before the class. Everything was super clean and organized. When the class started some instructors came by to give feedback on our form while the lead was going. I thought the instructor was great and kept us all in check! I have been going to Row House for about 7 months now. I was new to rowing. I do Ryan's class on Saturdays and LOVE IT. There are people of all ages there ( which I love - I'm 78) and you can go as hard or easy as you want - no one's watching! However I find myself pushing harder as I've started watching the times on my machine. I've also tried a couple of other teachers and they're all great. Try it. You'll love it! read more

My experience at the Row House in Ken Caryl has been exceptional. I started about 6 months ago. I have been going through some major life changes and it has been a place where I can go and just be there for me. It's like spin class, but rowing machines, so the lights are down and the music is up. I can just clear my head and leave it all there. The instructors and the owners have been amazing. As I mentioned, I've been going through quite a bit and they have been super supportive. I go to the evening classes, since I have a daytime job, and I moved to a different part of the city. Even though there is a club closer to where I live, I still fight the rush hour traffic everyday to go to that location. That is how much I enjoy it. A bonus, I have lost 40 pounds! read more

I left a review earlier this month about 2 class packages that I had purchased for my husband and daughter. They "expired" and Row House would not allow my family to use the classes left in their packages. The expiration is very quick as well. Also, there was not warning that they were expiring. They send plenty of automated emails to get you to sign up for classes and additional packages however can't send a reminder that you have classes expiring? Please be mindful that Row House will not allow you to use classes once the package has expired. Row House was not willing to work with us in any manner. Simply said we are sorry but not sorry. I have purchased several packages at various exercise clubs throughout the years. I have never experienced this before. read more

This studio is the most inviting and inclusive fitness environment I have ever been to. The coaches, staff, and owners are just fantastic and so supportive right from the beginning. I've been a member for 6 months at the Ken Caryl location now and cannot get enough of the classes. They have different types that are either anaerobic or aerobic, so you never get bored! Not to mention the music and themes are one of the best parts of why I keep going back. The staff and trainers are all extremely friendly and make you feel part of a team. UPDATE: They just called me to let me know they'll be starting 10-class packs. :-) I went to my first "intro" class this morning during their soft opening. I was immediately welcomed by a staff member. I enjoyed how they were well-staffed for the five of us in the class. I was walked through the rowing machine by Trevor and enjoyed the class with Melanie. Would have bought a class package (e.g. 10 classes for $xxx amount and expire in 6 months) but unfortunately they are only offering monthly memberships for now. Knowing they just opened, I really hope they consider offering class packages in the future! With my job, I can't commit to going 4 or 8 times some months. Of course they have a drop-in rate, but even a few dollars off of that for a class package deal would get me to be a regular! read more

Super clean and bright. Equipment is great. The few classes I've taken have been great. The instructors are super friendly and instructive. Getting the technique of rowing is a bit challenging at first but the staff really does a great job helping you to make adjustments. The workouts are as challenging as you want to make them and there is enough variety of classes to mix up routines. If you haven't tried row-house, you should give your body the gift. read more
